Times when you want to punch someone over the internet in the face

There was this one blogger who chose a really unfortunate site name for her blog about autistic people who in one way or another died unnatural deaths. (anyone who saw a status I made a while ago will know what I am talking about...) I dug up more, and found out she wants to "cure" all autism, because autistic people apparently get bullied (I mean, it's not like ANY OTHER people get bullied or anything), commit crimes (apparently just because they are autistic), etc.

There isn't anything wrong with getting angry at someone just because they're over the internet.

Sure it is. You're getting mad at things that don't matter.

I mean, I can understand if it's something like 'this hacker just wiped my databases and I lost all the info on all my accounts and my entire portfolio' but if it's just something like 'this guy doesn't believe in the same things I do' then you really need to get a psychiatric evaluation.

Okay, getting angry at someone because they believe something you don't is wrong in real life as well. But some people get angry when someone insults them for their beliefs. If someone, over the internet, started insulting me because I don't believe in god, I'd get angry at them. Because it's a human being insulting me for my beliefs.. And I get angry when human beings insult me. If it were Cleverbot or something, then it wouldn't be a problem. But Cleverbot isn't actually a human being. It just has a crappy AI.
