He asked people for opinions on what his end field should be, and I jokingly said triple Quasar. Then this happened. Thanks to my Maxx "C"s, he had to keep ending his plays early, and even then, I had something to mess him up afterwards. So he brought out Acid Golem and hit me directly. Well, among other things, I have Monster Reborn and Tour Guide in hand, with a Rai-oh banished. Although your deck CAN work at times, it isn't all consistent, or it doesn't work best. At least take a few of his change advices and see what happens while keeping some originality. Blake Posted March 22, 2012 Report Share Posted March 22, 2012 Personal favorite variant was Invoker Variant, but it's so much more inconsistent than regular. Plant Engine never really did any good for them, though removing Spore and Lonefire did. Quickdraw Fableds are also really fun, but not quite as good as "normal" Fableds due to Quickdraw sometimes Dead Drawing. Wind-up Fableds are hilarious because they looplooploop then can explode into a field of Synchros and the deck's tendency to make Rank 3s without even trying. The problem with this variant is how you have to pretty much throw away practically ALL defensive measures in the name of charging straightforward. Last format's Fableds were fairly inconsistent because of the more turbo-oriented nature of the deck. Because of this it exploded a LOT faster but was more prone to dead draws. This format, the deck opens very well about 80% of the time as opposed to the 65-ish percent it had before. The higher S/T count this format allows for Advantage to be maintained more easily while being able to stop big plays, hence why 2 Fiendish Chain is a must... but some of the explosive hilariousness is gone.
