Are you trolling? Tewart's just an idiot. Mirror Gate did NOT get re-ruled.

Unless you have a link to an official "non-Tewart" source that says that yes, now Mirror Gate is permanent.

By rulings given to the new OCG, a card that specifically states "Both" implies that both cards must still be in play for the effect to resolve.

And from the wiki:
According to this card's new errata'd text, during the End Phase the control of the affected monsters change only when both are still present on the field. If one of them is not present on the field at that time, the remaining one doesn't switch control.
I see no reason for this to be false.

Even Wiki has a notice stating "The OCG and TCG rulings contradict each other". Tewart literally claimed Mirror Gate does something that until that moment, neither TCG nor OCG had ruled it that way. He misinterpreted the new card grammar mechanics. That or whoever redid the card text messed up.

Fortunately, Mirror Gate sucks, so that ruling discrepency is rarely important.

But yeah, evidently that's completely official, despite it contradicting how the card has worked since its printing. (Not sarcastic, but Tewart's still wrong, even if we have to adhere to his idiotic rulings).
