Can you add in more details? I would be surprised on what his reputation was.
The things I mentioned were the main things he did. I think there were some places where he could have made better plays but they weren't incredibly glaring mistakes like the aforementioned ones.

His Exp. was a few hundred, but his rep. wasn't really low, which was surprising, since I generally only encounter these problems with really low people.

Can we have a more stupid than usual opponent count?

Mine just tried to respond to S. Poly, then the Fusion from it, then claimed that even with 3 E-HEROes banished Shining was only at 2900, and then decided that his loss = draw. =/

I actually think Trap Dustshoot is great, and I see why it's limited

If you draw it first turn, it puts you at a HUGE advantage

Buuut

Unfortunately, it sometimes dead draws, and I'd rather have a card that can be almost as good, but doesn't dead draw, then a card that's better but can dead draw easily :T

But keep in mind that many good players are trained not to overextend, so their hand count should usually drift around 3+ at almost all times, especially due to Heavy Storm being a concern.
Black actually told me about that, how people see Heavy Storm as more of a threat, so they keep the majority of their s/t in hand

But if one's hand doesn't decrease below 3 at times, he's definitely NOT using his resources to the fullest, IMO

IDK, I just see a LOT of times where it dead draws, in specific for me

I do absolutely love first turn drawing it when I'm going first

I just don't like taking the risk

I thought similarly for quite some time.

Then people kept using it and disrupting my strategies badly, so I tried it out. The sheer amount of prediction you can do after using it is godly good, and even if it dead draws, you can Set it in the hopes of getting it MSTed or something. The mind game of a single Set card or two, even if it's useless, can save you in a Duel, if only because your opponent may be hesitant to go all out.

admittedly, it's at least an MST target, and a pretty good mind-game

But once your opponent does stuff and you don't active it, they'll begin to think it's useless, and won't even bother MSTing it :T

But I agree, other people use it against me often, and it disrupts my strategies badly

I just have personal terrible luck, so I only put it if I have nothing else to put

Seeing everything your opponent has and disrupting it is never a bad thing. Dustshoot is pretty much the best trap in the game right now.
Pretty much this. It's easily to understand, forsee, manipulate your opponent's next moves. Dustshoot and DWs is gooooooood.

Except for Solemn Judgment

Which can basically say no to anything

If there existed a dustshoot without the "4 cards or more" restriction, I'd use it all the time

But that's also why I prefer Spiritual Water Art, I can sacrifice any water monster

And do what Dustshoot does, cept instead of going back to deck, the card goes back to grave

Upside?

It can be any card .-.

And it's 'send' not 'discard', I believe

So I'll take Water art any day

...too bad there aren't many water monsters that you'd wanna tribute AND are used in everyday decks

Meh I like to use it with Gishkis sometimes.

Returning to the deck is good because sending it to the graveyard makes your opponent being able to access it, while making your opponent waste cards to search it. Thus Dustshoot is good.

Yeah, kinda meant to say returning to deck was advantage

But you can off a monster reborn or dark hole with spiritual water art

True, but Dustshoot is more of an any deck staple.

OT: DN duel anyone? On another unlucky losing streak and I need to keep my spirits up.
No limitations on Dustshoot? That'd be something to see. It'd make traditional games more fun. :3

My response: Meh.
Meh?
I wouldn't have worded it better? :P

Anyone up for a duel? I want to test out Lancer Frogs.
