Immortal Chaos
"Hm, a Duel eh? Oh what fun, yes yes what fun this shall be." There was almost a new hitch in his step as he strode a small distance away from Marie. On his back shown the onyx colored duel disk he had crafted himself. In one fell motion the machine seemed to swoop off his back and latch onto his arm as he pivoted off his toes, turning to face the girl. His lips curved back into the smile as the disk readied itself and he placed his deck into the holster. This was the first duel he had been offered since he came across the campus of the academy, and he intended to savor every moment of it. "Since I am a gentleman, I shall let you go first my dear. Oh I shiver with anticipation in seeing what you play." His voice was more comical than anything right now, seeming more like a kid in a candy store at the moment than a duelist. Kingdom Xathers
"Look out!!" yelped Wolfram as Stygian Sergeants sped towards Wolfram's frontline, ramming head-first into Wulf #2, propelling the humanoid wolf into the wall behind Wolfram where he shattered upon impact whilst Wolfram and the other Lightsworns scattered about to avoid getting hit (however, Wulf #2's staff had flown out of his hand and whacked Wolfram on the head, inflicting the 100 damage to his Life Points). "Alright!" cheered Hellren at the success of his Sergeants' attack. "I'll activate Stygian Sergeants' ability! Once he's destroyed a monster, he won't stop his momentum: He can attack again, this time with a boost of 800 ATK points!" On cue, the Sergeants surrounded themselves in a fierce aura as they made a sharp u-turn to prepare for their next strike. "Attack his Celestia!" At their master's command, the Stygian Sergeants accelerated forward, bearing down on Wolfram's monsters once more; Garoth actually had to pull Jenis out of the way as Celestia held her staff up in a defensive manner. Sadly, this proved to be ineffective as the impact from the Sergeants' motorcycle slamming into her sent her sailing into Wolfram, shattering in a cloud of feathers as Wolfram himself stumbled and sustained a further 700 points of damage. "You just lost two of your strongest monsters and now I control the field with my Synchro. How's that for showing you what I can do? It's your move now, Wolfram." Still reeling from the onslaught, Wolfram propped himself on one knee, hair obscuring his eyes as he panted heavily. After a moment, the Lightsworn Duelist gave a slight chuckle, which continued until it escalated into a full-blown guffaw. "Great, now I know he's losing it...," Yuki thought to himself as she saw this. As soon as his laughter died down, Wolfram straightened himself out, calmly dusting off his jacket. "Sorry for my... sudden outburst, Hellren," Wolfram said in a surprisingly chipper tone. "It's just... well, this duel has just become rather exhilarating, and I couldn't help but to... express my enjoyment. "Now, shall we continue?" Wolfram rhetorically asked as he drew his next card (Hand: 3 / Deck: 11). "True, you may have gotten rid of two of my heavy-hitting monsters, but that may soon change. First, though, I think I'll try out this old number: "Monster Recovery"! With this, I get to return one monster I control, along with my entire hand, to my Deck, then I get to draw from my Deck until I have the same number of cards that were in my hand before. (response?) Now, Jenis, return to the Deck!" At this, the Mender faded away from the field as Wolfram shuffled her and the two cards in his hand back into his Deck, then drew two cards (Deck: 12). "Now, I'll play the Spell Card, "Pot of Avarice"! I should hope you know what this card does already, Hellren," Wolfram said, "but seeing as people are at this Academy to learn, I'll explain for those individuals: "Pot of Avarice" allows me to return five monsters from my Grave back to my Deck, but only if I have at least five monsters in there to begin with. Then, once I am done shuffling, I draw two more cards from my Deck." Wolfram then turned to look at Hellren and asked, "Any response to my Spell, Hellren? If not, then I'll proceed with my turn. I'll return Effect Veiler, Celestia, Jain, Lumina and Judgment Dragon from my Grave to my Deck (Deck: 17), then draw two more cards!" (Hand: 3, Deck: 15) Wolfram then took a look at his new hand, to see what card would benefit him the most in the situation he was in. "... ... wait, this is... ...!" After a moment of seemingly deliberating with himself, Wolfram decided on his next move: "Conditions fulfilled! With at least five different LIGHT monsters in my Grave--" At this, Yuki eyes went wide. ""Five LIGHT monsters"? But I thought Judgment Dragon required at least 4 different "Lightsworn" monsters in the Grave!" "Ms. Brian, if I may be permitted to finish," Wolfram calmly asked of his associate. He then resumed to his declarative dialogue: "With at least five different LIGHT monsters in my Grave, I call forth "Lightray Diabolos"!" (response?!!) At this, the Wulf on Wolfram's side of the field blurted out, "Wait, what?! "Diabolos"?!" "Ah, so you've decided to join in, huh Wulf?" Wolfram said with a smile toward his Duel Spirit partner as the summoning of Wolfram's new monster began: five pillars of light shot up from the ground in front of Wolfram, encircling a shining symbol out of which emerged a brightly glowing, white-and-blue Dragon (2800 ATK/1000 DEF). ""Diabolos"?!" exclaimed another voice (Farkas) standing behind Wolfram. "But I thought Diabolos was normally DARK, not to mention evil." "True," Wolfram replied in an almost inaudible whisper, "but then again, we never thought that Zerato could be enticed by darkness...." "Wait, so... this Diabolos is like a reverse of Dark Armed Dragon?" "Seems like it." Wolfram then turned his attention to Hellren. "Alright, then, let's try this: it seems that Lightray Diabolos has another Special Effect. In order to trigger it, I must banish a LIGHT monster from my Grave as a cost, but afterwards, Diabolos can reveal 1 face-down card that my opponent controls, and then I get to decide whether to return that card to the top or the bottom of my opponent's Deck." He then pointed at Hellren's face-down. "Now, I'll banish Garoth from my Grave to reveal your face-down card in the Spell/Trap Zone!" Immortal Chaos
Dhark chuckled as he watched the girl’s first move, and in the back of his mind he wondered. A defense monster, on turn one? How odd….Oh well. After drawing his 5 and then the extra 1 to make six, he looked over his hand, his lips curving into a small smile. ”Well then, I think I’ll start this off with a handy little spell card. I play Dark World Dealings.” A large picture of a rather intricately detailed, demonic looking being holding a card in its grip appeared on the field, only to vanish instantly. ”A girl of your intelligence should know that my spell card allows us both to draw 1 card, then ditch 1 card from our hands. Chaotic Angel
However, as the students enjoy dueling one another, intruders started entering Gold Academy, much to Wolfram's fear. Ron, the Chancellor, saw the intruders come in from the entrances' CCTV and immediately dashed out, taking his room key card and headed straight for his limo, and told his driver to drive back to Gold Academy due to an emergency. "Holy crap, this can't be good... Intruders coming in already..." Ron thought, trying to get back as soon as possible. Meanwhile, back in Gold Academy, Ashley looked outside the White Hall window and warned everyone from his microphone. "You are about to see uninvited guests in the premises! Do not fear, as I will abolish all those in my---" he shouted, as he looked back whilst being cut short, only to see the Chancellor behind his back. "Well well... Filling in for me, are we? I'll handle everything." he said, as he left Obelisk Blue's White Hall, saw four intruders running away in Wolfram's direction, then he chases after them by foot. "Infiltrating, are we? We'll see about that!" Ron said, running after the intruders. "Argh! Go away!" the first intruder said, throwing a large radioactive canister at Ron's stomach, with him barely feeling the pain. "Ooh.. Ouch, that must hurt, fella... C'mon, gimme more!" Ron taunted. The second intruder appeared in front of Wolfram as the chase goes on. Ron runs into that intruder whilst Hellren and Wolfram are unaware and dueling. "Caught both of you, now get outta my sight!" Ron ordered, before being thrown another radioactive canister, and eventually fell unconscious in front of Slifer Red's White Hall, where the intruders made an escape. Ashley then appeared in the scene, following everything that went on, and thought, "My god, Chancellor... You had to go back because there's intruders behind your CCTV in your accomodation... A**ehole... Sort yourself out..." Ashley thought, as he dragged Ron out of Wolfram and Hellren's way and hid him behind the nearest bush with his legs showing out, then leaving the scene altogether. Cray-Crow
Stygian's onslaught was met with no reaction from Wolfram, leading to two of monsters' destruction, and dealing a total of 800 damage to his life points. But when Wolfram recovered, he chuckled and began laughing hysterically. "Sorry for my... sudden outburst, Hellren, it's just... well, this duel has just become rather exhilarating, and I couldn't help but to... express my enjoyment. Now, shall we continue?" Wolfram had calmed himself, now, and commenced his turn. He drew his card. Hellren watched as Wolfram lifted it and then to Wolfram's deck. That makes.. 11 left, I think. I have to beat him before it goes out. Wolfram played a Quick-Spell, "Monster Recovery", and returned Jenis to his deck, and drawing a new hand. And his draw was luck-filled, for he drew a savior of a card, "Pot of Avarice". Wolfram had asked if Hellren would make a response, but Hellren shook his head slowly. Playing it, his opponent retrieved choice monsters to his deck and drew two more cards. After a moment, Hellren concluded his opponent now had 15 cards in his deck, which gave him more time to drop Wolfram's life points to naught. "Conditions fulfilled! With at least five different LIGHT monsters in my Grave--" The woman near Wolfram spoke loud enough for Hellren to hear their voice for the first time, interrupting Wolfram mid-sentence. "Five LIGHT monsters"? The question went unnoticed, for it was hindered inaudible by the summoning of Wolfram's card. Five pillars justified themselves from the ground, framing a circle around an illuminated symbol, and from it, a dragon surged from it. Blue and white, brilliant and fierce, the roaring dragon made its appearance on the duel arena. Clearly, this is another card I've never heard of.. A LIGHT Diabolos.. It has to have an effect. Which is what Wolfram was getting to, explaining it well."Alright, then, let's try this: it seems that Lightray Diabolos has another Special Effect. "Now's the time! Trap Activate! 'Windstorm of Etaqua'!" The face-down hologram lifted itself revealing a depiction of a black falcon amidst a green gust and upon its activation, a gale rose and immediately grew into a horrific whirlwind. "All monsters you conrol have their battle positions changed!" With all of Wolfram's monsters caught, they braced themselves, all being forced to their defensive positions. "And since you've just summoned Diabolos, you can't change his position." Immortal Chaos
Dhark’s lips curved into a smirk as he waved his hand. ”Perfect. You ran right into my card. Reveal my quick play spell, Fonic Arte – Glyph of Light.” The center card flipped up, then vanished as a rather large circle appeared under where he stood, followed by the rather diabolical monster to be stopped in its tracks, seeming to shriek in pain before recoiling and landing back on Marie’s side of the field. The light dimmed down as he spoke again. ”A handy spell my Glyph of Light is. I can only activate it by removing a Fonic Arte spell or trap from my graveyard. It stops the attack of one monster my opponent controls, and for the next 2 turns it cannot attack at all.” His smile faded as he then looked to his hand, and picked a card up. ”Sadly, in order for such protection, I also have to ditch a card from my hand, so I will send my Fonic Arte – Glyph of Fire to my graveyard.” He was calm still as he waited for Marie to finish her turn. "Well, you certainly know how to make use of the older cards, that I'll congratulate you on," Wolfram said, a slight smirk on his face despite being somewhat agitated with himself for falling into such a trap, not to mention the sudden commotion that had occurred around him. "I'm tryin'," said the lagger as he tried to keep a grip on one of the radioactive canisters. "These are pretty gosh-darned heavy, tho--UGH!!" The lagging intruder was caught mid-sentence and off-guard by a sudden clothesline delivered to him across the face by a massive, tan-skinned individual. The force of the clothesline sent the intruder, canister and all, sailing a good twenty feet through the air before smacking face-first into a nearby tree. The intruder who was ahead of him turned around to see what had just happened, only to find himself face-to-face (or rather, helmet-to-face) with the part-time shop owner, who immediately grabbed the intruder by the helmet. "Going somewhere, are we?" said Felix as he shoved the helmet up and back against the intruder's head, enough to obscure his vision and force him off-balance, before delivering a well-aimed kick to the intruder's jaw, knocking him out and onto the ground. "Right, so...," Wolfram replied, stroking a finger at his five-o'-clock-shadowed chin, "... statistically, you would have a fifty percent chance of revealing a Spell, and a fifty percent chance of revealing a Trap. Out of that fifty percent for the Trap, you have a total twenty-five percent chance of triggering the Trap's effect anyway, and then the other twenty-five percent, which is what you're ultimately hoping for, could result in the Trap failing because of being triggered at the wrong time. There is, however the fifty percent possibility that the card is a Spell, and will simply be returned to its original position." "... he just said that," Yuki retorted. "I know," Wolfram replied. At Hellren's declaration, the hammer smacked the doll into Wolfram's face-down, striking one of the card's corners in a way that would cause the card to flip. The moment it was flipped, Hellren could see that the card was... ... ... "Spell Card; "Book of Moon"," Wolfram declared. "Now, since your Bait Doll's effect only deals with Traps, my Book of Moon does not activate and returns to its Set Position. Chaotic Angel
Then, the bush was shaking, only to see the Chancellor waking up to two people in front of him. Kingdom Xathers
As Stygian Sergeants came barreling down towards Wulf, Wolfram began to panic a bit, but not so much about the Sergeants' attack as he was about Wulf's safety. ParadoxCaller
Chris had not spoken since Elisha's statement and was still frozen in thought, when suddenly, Elisha rushed out of the Ra Yellow White Hall and appeared to kick this guy in the head who had been walking by outside, What was that about? Then Elisha came back to the podium and went threw some papers before she exclaimed something about a Karen, "Wait what? Karen who? Elisha, wait!" And just like that, Elisha was out of the door again, and gone, What now? Chris sat there in the hall, with a lot of Ra Yellow students around him in the room. He felt kinda uncomfortable. And just like that, Elisha was back, again, with someone else. They walked up to him and Elisha spoke, "Karen, this is our associate, Chris Varg. He'll be helping us during this Ra Yellow White Hall assembly, then we'll be on our own shortly afterwards." "Oh hi." Chris stood up and shook Karen's hand, "Yeah I'm Cristopher Varg, but you can just call me Chris if you want, and I'm head of the ra yellow boys, nice to meet you." He smiled and sat back down. "I'm starting this thing, Chris. Take the stage and prepare yourself." Elisha ordered, as she reached out for her microphone and shouted, "All Ra Yellow students are to attend the White Hall Assembly in the dormitory! IF you you are currently dueling, you will have to nullify all that! You have ten minutes before I start!" Then she took the stage again and waited. Immortal Chaos
The whirling sound of life dropping sounded as Dhark’s life dropped 1600 points before the hydra launched its attack. He stood that way for a moment as the retile returned to Marie’s side of the field. He chuckled a bit as he stood up, but his face was serious. ”Seems I underestimated you girl….I will have to improve my dueling, and I think I will start with this card. Trap Activate….. Kingdom Xathers
Wolfram stood by calmly as Garoth met the same fate as Wulf at the hands of Stygian Sergeants. "Wulfram, your field has been cleared of monsters. Next turn, I'll be aiming for you. Your turn!" Wolfram took a moment to meditate on his current situation. No monsters, one card in hand and his Set "Book of Moon"... if he was going to make a comeback, it would have to be with this next draw. "Things seem bleak, don't they, Wolfram?" muttered Farkas from Wolfram's right as Wulf reappeared by Wolfram's left. "But it's like what Wulf said, right? "Wulf will not be alone on the field for long, however...." Wolfram trailed off as one of the cards in his hand began to glow. "By the four points of the Savior, I now send a prayer to the heavens. May the avatar of the Savior answer the pleas of his followers and descend upon Earth to guide all to the Light! Special Summon! Shine down, "Judgment Dragon"!" In response to the Summon Chant, a column of light burst erupted from the ground surrounding Wolfram and shot up towards the skies, the clouds departing in its wake. ----- "... the hell is that?!" blurted Felix as the column of light caught his attention. "Three guesses," William said as he, too, stared at the shining beacon, "and the first two don't count." "C'mon," Felix replied as he and William ran toward the Slifer Dorms' White Hall. ----- When the light finally died down, a grand, white-feathered dragon had taken its place standing behind Wolfram, its presence both awe-inspiring and fearsome (3000 ATK). "Even after this," Wolfram continued, "I am still not done summoning monsters. I now Normal Summon "Ehren, Lightsworn Monk" in Attack Position (1600 ATK). Admiral_Stalfos19
J.C. Valance "And just who the f*** are you?!" J.C. asked spitefully, turning wildly to the newcomer, and suddenly desiring nothing more than to punch said woman in the face. After all, she did interrupt a duel for no good reason, and this pissed J.C. off more than him being told to go to some stupid assembly by anyone, even the teachers of this place. "For your information, it's rude to interrupt a duel." J.C. then went on to say, "You should know that more than I do. And just when I was winning, too. And you did that for what, just drag us to some stupid assembly that we all know is not important?" Maire Gaboon Maire screamed in pain as the defensive trap took its toll on her life force, effectively bringing her down to her knees. She cradled herself, before peering over her shoulder with a fearful expression on her face. Maire's LP: 7100 --> 5000 "Wha... what's happening to me?" she asked, "Why am I feeling this...? Y-you've turned this into a Shadow Duel haven't you?" A familiar hissing sound made itself known to Maire, but no-one else. It seemed to be in acknowledgement to her question. "B-but... why?" she asked again, "Wh-wh-wh-what have I done wrong?" The hissing sound grew louder and more aggressive again, managing to spook Maire and causing her too fall onto her hands as well as her knees. At this time, a purple, burning light had shone on her back, and all around the area the two were dueling. "No... NO!! Just let me fight this guy on my own, please! That's all I'm asking!" after saying, she eventually managed to get up on her feet, before staring into her opponent's eyes, "Something's wrong... I can feel it. I... I place one card face-down... and... I end my turn. Look... your life's in danger now. Even as we speak... I can feel my... my life force... It's being drained from me. Please... I need you to forfeit the duel... before it's too late."
LP: 5000 Cards in Deck: 25 Cards in Hand: 6 Cards on Field: Reptilianne Hydra, 1S/T Cards in Graveyard: Electric Snake, Nightmare Archfiends, Reptilianne Servant, Allure of Darkness, Reptilianne Viper, Demotion Banished Cards: The Snake Hair
