Shadow Zero
I have noticed that there has been no official word on my apps acceptance despite my having finished it and said as such before now. Might I know as to why?
Nexev
Also, Shadow Zero, are you finished with your character? You still haven't made the changes I've asked for, and if you just went up and left, I'll have to cut you now. READING ITS GOOD FOR YOU reserving electricity. also axl seems like a better main character. he gives off that "flawed hero" vibe that would make this rp much less cartoony and much more mature Ballade commits suicide, how is that less mature then the cocky guy? I mean seriously... SUICIDE.
bury the year
acck whattt? Also, as a note to all, due to the server outage yesterday I wasn’t able to coordinate everyone’s apps to determine the best starting scenario: ergo, the IC thread may need to wait one or two more days. (I did come up with a system to implement Battle Chips, though, so keep your eyes out~!) @Shadow: Goddamit. This is what happens when life and RPing intersect: people fall by the wayside. However, I’ve come to the conclusion (not hastily, mind) that your character is DENIED for reasons that I’ve already had to haggle with others. This decision is final – please don’t whine or wheedle with me.- I said no images. Not only did you use one for your appearance, but you decided to take the name of that character for yours. Doesn’t bode well.- Your character is a black belt at age 15 and apparently can swing around a butcher knife without the least bit of concern. On top of that...- In terms of others, I’ve accepted a 19-year old who works as a business aid. Not too bad. Your character is 15 and yet has made a hundred grand off of administration and web advertising, neither of which is at all easy to entrepreneur into. While not impossible, it certainly stretches suspension of disbelief far more than what I’m comfortable with.- “He was modeled only slightly based off of Zero.exe” – So... you’re just trying to expy Zero? Yeah. Not likely.- Wind Spirit is broken: being able to move faster than can be followed means that it can’t be blocked and/or dodged. @Generation III: Not currently accepting applications, in case you didn’t notice. Sorry. If slots open up, I’ll make sure to let you know. @Nexev: How is suicide “mature?” Seems incredibly cowardly to me, but that’s getting offtopic and this thing’s racked up enough posts without getting started yet. Shadow Zero
It's the fact that he did it to save another that makes it awesome. Duh.
Thar
[spoiler=Thar is applying]OPERATOR: MJ SEQUELName: Monti Craig JarvisGender: MaleAge: 26Occupation: Monti first started as an entry level PA at a retirement home. With this background in his resume, he resigned and signed up for the military, serving for 2 years as a Medic in the field before being honorably discharged. After a 4-year degree in computer engineering and programming, he works as a freelance viral protection programmer. Appearance: Monti has a stout muscular stature. Having served in the military, he tries to keep his hair as short as possible while still maintaining his natural blonde color. On the job, Monti wears a tan sports coat and blue tie. Off the job, he wears unbuttoned flannel shirts with plain colored t-shirts under it. He always wears the same type of jeans and converse "All-Stars" shoes. Personality: Monti's personality shifts in minor intervals depending on the day. But overall, he is usually known for his "artsy-fartsy" perk, which people can describe as a person who always has his camera around his neck, taking pictures of anything that catches his eye and marveling at the beauty of both natural and artificial aspects of the world. However, with this sensitivity having an impact on his marveling, he is also a semi-perfectionist. As much as he respects the natural balance of the world, his views on pollution and conscious offense to the world's natural resources bring out his rebellious side. With his off-work personality taking part of society, when Monti puts his suit on and heads to work, he walks the walk like an agent in the secret service business. With his iPad, laptop, and his USB-connectable 1 terra-byte memory box all packed in his customized leather carry-on bag, he attends to local attacks on computers and Navis alike. While on the job, he rarely smiles, almost never cries, and in his sparingly often cases of sensitivity with his clients, he shows little of that as well. While with his Navi, AntivirusMan.exe, his commands show no signs of harshness or mannerism, making Monti sound like the ideal man for a job. History:Grew up as a natural born helper, gladly assisting anyone or anything that he felt necessary was in need of help.Took part as a PA for a retirement home, playing games with the elderly, walked around in the park, and helped feed people that needed to be fed, etc.Resigned and served in the military for 2 years before being honorably discharged due to weakness and trauma from an artillery attack.Attended a 4-year Bachelor's degree course in computer engineering and programming.Motivations: Having a big interest in computer and internet protection, he dedicated his career to helping both people and Navis alike by providing the programming needed to better repel the viruses from their domain.Trivia: Even after 5 decent years, he still has minor PTSD phases, even while on the job.Theme: Pantera - NAVI: ANTIVIRUSMAN.EXEName: AntivirusMan.exeGender: Incredibly male for a machine.Appearance: AntivirusMan.exe's emblem represents its role as a Navi. As a protector of those under attack of the viruses, a circular cut-out of a grid is displayed behind a big bold X in the center. This emblem resides on its forehead, chest, and pelvis (as a sash). Aside from the emblem, AntivirusMan.exe takes on the form of a heavily built samurai, armed with a built-in fly swatter and blaster gun for its business alongside its operator. Two main colors that it themes with are purple and teal.Personality: AntivirusMan.exe did not come in contact with Monti until after he was discharged from the military. After that, AVM (Monti's nickname for AntivirusMan.exe) had grown more comfortable and loose around him. Depending on the job it is given, AVM has a twist of fraternal human behavior while in action and sometimes even when it isn't doing anything. Whenever it presents itself into a certain program, a theme plays that Monti programmed into it after a long, well-mannered plea for it. When off the job, AVM's programming includes a hint of affinity towards other feminine Navis, which Monti tries to drive it off of to prevent any mishaps during an urgent job.Type: Status[spoiler=Attacks]Virus Swatter (Sword) – A built-in fly swatter used to manually fight a virus that is infecting or is about to infect a certain program.Virus Repellent Barrier (Status) – A barrier that both blocks out and drives away viruses of a certain strength.Virus Extermination Aura (Status) – An aura of virus-killing programming that destroys viruses within a one minute length. Theme: MC Hammer - I'll happily fix whatever doesn't meet your expectations. I might have pushed it a little when customizing my Navi. Tell me if I did. Thanks. Thar
Sorry, must have missed it while making the post. Should I just quote it when more slots open up?
bury the year
@Ongaku: Since Shadow was denied and you posted your full application before I could notice, I'll make an exception and consider yours. Watch this post. Everyone else, IC thread's finally up. Go wild.
Admiral_Stalfos19
Um... one question before I post: can we actually start at the Starbucks and/or manage to get there in a single post?
bury the year
I'd rather you not start there, but you can get there in a single post if you please.
Admiral_Stalfos19
Thought you'd disallow the former ... But thanks anyway. I should be able to make a post now.
bury the year
Ack. Ongaku, sorry for not getting around to you until now. You're PENDING. - His personality’s rather one-dimensional. All I see is artistic and workaholic, and neither of the two work alone. Try adding some more traits in to flesh him out.- The problem with your name and theme is that all Navis are in essence anti-viral software – it’s tantamount to calling him HumanMan. Think of something different.- As for the abilities, have you seen/played the game series? Attacks don’t automatically delete viruses. Read through other accepted applications for ideas as to what I’m looking for.

bury the year
Posted, and now it's time to virus bust~! No specific post order for now, but just don't try to hog anything. If you bust a virus with style, you'll receive a chip, which I'll explain more about at that time. Also, I will be dropping Ongaku Matsuri and Random Dude's reservations since they have not posted in a while. That means there are now two new slots available for me to accept. First come, first serve.
Agro
Hey, Rinne. Am I to assume that since Ballade accessed the system through use of the security code, the other Navis will be free to enter as well?
bury the year
Yep. Just jump through the portal.
Admiral_Stalfos19
So um... I'm assuming we should only kill up to 3 viruses just to keep things fair? And how resilient are these Larks? Can they take a couple strong blows without much problem, or can they only barely survive one?
bury the year
They're stronger than Mettaurs, which can take two medium blows, so around three medium blows can kill one.
Admiral_Stalfos19
Mettaurs can take two medium blows? And here I was thinking they were weak. Then again, it's been ages since I played MegaMan, so... yeah, my logic's a little rusty, I will admit that. ... Hang on, would Mettaurs be Break-type, by any chance?
~Tico~
Well, Mettaurs do have 40 HP, so it's not as if they're fragile to the point of being smashed after one hit. Although a good Cannon would do it.
Admiral_Stalfos19
I know that much. Actually... if a Cannon can take them down in one hit, then Shadow Force should be able to as well, I reckon.
