No. You are NOT allowed to use that excuse.

 

I have seen it tossed out like they are rice at a wedding. And you know what? It still kills the proverbial pigeons.

 

Except these pigeons are the rp.

 

Because see everyone thinks they are too good at rping to godmod. And you know whats sad? They almost always aren't. It's one of the worst excuses you can give. If you are too good to godmod then you should be able to edit it so that it can't be godmodded and if you really are so skilled you werent going to godmod the broken skills you have you obviously must have intended to not use the power beyond certain limits, make those limits known and the power is nerfed and if you really are as good as you claim you will be playing you're character entirely the same. Since you were going to go with those limits anyway.

 

Am I being testy? Yes. Am I mad? Also Yes. Y so serious? Because someone tried to use the same excuse to get away with the most BROKEN APP I HAVE EVER SEEN THAT WASN'T SARCASTIC. And you know what? I rped with him later in a different rp and he WAS WRONG.

 

MAYBE you are too good to godmod, but YOU aren't the person to judge that.

@Corona: My OCD was screaming for a different name, but I can let this slide – and now that I think of it, original Navis weren’t always ___Man. (There was a generic one with a different structure.) Whatever. ACCEPTED. :'3

@Nexev, Admiral: Can’t really ignore a rant like that, especially because I had inklings of suspicion before this that you were trying to make a power!Navi for no real good reason. Therefore, Admiral, kindly nerf your attacks and/or remove any implications that he’s just going to beat everyone else up given the chance. Do that and you’ll be accepted.

 

As a general aside, the RP will begin once all current reservations have been accepted or have been dropped. Therefore, I will be no longer accepted reserves to keep things at a manageable size.

Look, I'm sorry if I sounded like an arrogant douche when I said that, but I'm a man of my word. If I say I won't godmod, I won't even do so much as powerplay... least of all on purpose. If you still don't trust me, then look around at all the RPs I've been in.

 

That's all I can say on the matter -_-

 

EDIT: I think I've gotten rid of everything that screams "look at me, I'm an uber Navi." Plus all 3 attacks are nerfed.

Okay dokie so I shall start with the app. Since I DONT know any rps you are in.

 

 

OPERATOR: LEROY TRACER

Name: Leroy Tracer

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Occupation: College Drop-Out (he is working on getting an apprenticeship, however)

Appearance: Leroy has a medium build, and stands at an average height. His hair is dyed a blood red, cut to flat-top style and matted down, and although he has a black eye, one can tell by his good one that they are meant to be a golden orange. He wears a heavy blazer that he leaves open to show his bear chest Polar or grizzly?, and a pair of jeans whose legs have been ripped from below the knees down. so... shorts? His shoes are just basic run-of-the-mill charcoal grey sneakers, which aren't really that flash.

Personality: At the moment, Leroy is going through what appears to be depression, except inside of feeling sorrow, he feels anger towards himself for what he's had to suffer through. Of course, he does a bunch of things that he's really not supposed to; ranging from only really eating junk food to smoking to getting himself drunk... he's even taken a few too many drugs in the past. All he has for company now is WraithMan, who was supposed to be sent for deletion, but managed to evade such a fate.Currently, Leroy is working on getting an apprenticeship which would allow him to eventually become a registered electrician, which is what he wanted in the first place... not to go to some stupid college like his parents forced him to. In truth, that's what's causing his current misery; the fact that he ever went there at all... not to mention that it never worked out in the end. All Leroy can think about now is how big a mistake it was, College... he's getting depressed because of SCHOOL? Its a educational institution not room 101. You go for like a month and if it sucks you drop out. Rape causes trauma, beatings cause trauma, overbearing parenting longterm causes trauma, being in a school does NOT unless he was incapable of leaving but he obviously wasn't but he does try to put it behind him. After all, he has bigger concerns to worry about.if all he he can think about is college then he doesnt have the abbility to worry about any other concerns does he?

History:

  • Hates his parents for trying to force him into college, in which he had no intention of going to.
  • Got himself expelled on purpose, mainly so he could get away from college life.As apposed to you know, dropping out like normal people. What Leroy did was, after his ex-girlfriend dumped him, posted a video of the two of them having sexual intercourse in the women's restroom on his FaceBook page, just to get back on her. ...How intelligent to revenge yourself on your ex by proving to the world exactly WHY she dumped you.
  • Was beaten up by that same person a few days later, while he was walking along the street. The girlfriend? Dude why the f*** are we even looking at Leory's app? You should have gone as the ex. Hell even if she has PEBBLEMAN.exe as a navi she would still be so much cooler then her ex. While that was happening, WraithMan had jacked himself into the girl's iPod, and cranked it up as loud as possible, resulting in the girl's hearing loss. ...whooooa hold up, pause button. What the f*** is this. Those lines are there? Not being delusional here. So this random navi who NEVER EVEN MET THIS GIRL, intentionally disables her, probbably PERNAMENTLY... for LAUGHS? Sorry but look at Mirage, what does she do? SEND VIRUSES.Your character? SEVERELY INJURE RANDOM PEOPLE FOR LAUGHS. You made your antihero WORSE THEN THE VILLIAN. WraithMan was later confiscated and sent to be deleted, and Leroy was thrown into junior hall for trying to intervene. Inaccurate, your character has to be above 18 at this point to have gotten into and flunk college. He would be tried as an adult, and he tried to aid a highly dangerous criminal as well as interfere with police work. Those are both felonys. Sorry but Leory was sent to Penetrate Prison.
  • Caught up with WraithMan about halfway through his sentence, hearing his voice through a phone that was provided so inmates could make a phone call. WraithMan had obviously made it out alive, and returned to Leroy's side when he got out on bail.

You shot your character in the foot here. His angst is a flimsy premise since no matter how much pressure his parents enforced upon him, he could have always walked out. At college he was the one who was allowed to make his own decisions, he might have been trying to please them but obviously not because your character hates them. Also he is pretty damned into unemployment. He could have avoided this even dropping out of college but since he got KICKED OUT of college, posted sex tapes from spite, and got ARRESTED FOR TRYING TO HELP A SOCIOPATH WHO DISABLED HIS EX his resume looks pretty flimsy unless Joker needs someone to fix his cable or something. Maybe you wanted a evil character but the thing is, most of the characters either created, being created and etc are more or less have a motivation to stop the dangerous sociopath team, not to mention the police, and so on. You made a character so completly unsympathetic that no amount of college life will really be considered just punishment. He more comes off as a whiny brat who is even more of a antagonist then old Mirage.

Motivations: So WraithMan can put his eager to destroy things into good use. This also gives WraithMan a chance to determine whether Mirage actually is the most powerful Navis There are two mirages? Shocking. But seriously Mirage doesnt seem that strong, just fast and has a virus spam. She is not caught from actual elusiveness, not being to powerful to harm in the world.

Theme: Disturbed –

 

NAVI: WRAITHMAN.EXE

Name: WraithMan.exe

Gender: Male

Appearance: WraithMan's body is of a blinding white, and appears to be made entirely out of ectoplasm, which looks as though its always evaporating. All he has for armour is a single, albeit heavy, onyx black breastplate which has a shining silver circular emblem in the centre. He has a single tail rather than a pair of legs, his arms appear similar to the tail, so he just slithers around everywhere? Eeew and all he has for a face is a single pair of eyes, the irises of which are dark purple and always have that look of pure venom to them.

Personality: A hunted and hated Navi no s*** who was supposed to be deleted when he was confiscated from Leroy, who got sent to junior hall for trying to intervene. WraithMan can be disobedient at times, and attempting to issue an order without some form of argument or debate is a tall order for Leroy. Apart from that though, the two of them don't seem to have problems working together; just as long as Leroy does his job as an operator and WraithMan does his job as a Navi. WraithMan also seems to have an eternal bloodlust; nothing gets him more enthralled than barrelling through multiple viruses or even deleting an enemy Navi or two. He also has always wanted to fight Mirage, to see whether Mirage really was the most powerful Navi in the world. So why did Wraithman injure a random girl he never met before? Was Grooveman.exe particurally strong? Look at that a deaf girl who's been humiliated and shamed by someone she cared about someone who even helped the person who ruined her. Who struggles to make a bond with her new peddleman navi to fill the whole in her heart made by Grooveman's death. One who only seeks Mirage to ask of her to use her viruses to make this Wraithman pay for grooveman's death. I made a more interested character REVIEWING A APP, that's not a good thing.

Type: Stealth

[spoiler=Attacks]Shadow Force (Stealth) – WraithMan disappears from view for a few seconds. Then, a strange crest appears below the enemy's feet, again for a few seconds, before WraithMan soars up from it with tremendous energy. Deals medium-heavy damage, and is WraithMan's most powerful attack.

Ectoplasm Rapier (Sword) – One of WraithMan's arms transforms into a blade, which he then uses to slash his enemies. Deals medium-light damage.

Ghost Division (Stealth) – Dozens of WraithMan clones fill the battlegrounds. These clones are immobile, and are banished immediately when they're hit. WraithMan uses this technique for confusion purposes. The attacks are fine now though.

 

 

So while you made a less godmoddy character you also made a vilian. Not sure if intentional but I really hope you knew ahead of time that college is not a suitable excuse of violent jabroniyness. I've heard of Queen of Darknesses less of a b**** then this guy. Maybe more later if I find some posts.

[spoiler=App!] OPERATOR: LIZZY DRAKE Name: Elizabeth "Lizzy" Drake XII Gender: (intersexual?) Female Age: 20 (I wanted to play a softof rebelling heiress and if she is too old she would have had to man f*** up and get a job in the company aby now so I made her age young enough to still be in college). Occupation: College Student with a major in Chemistry Appearance: She's of a lithe slightly muscular build. She is fit but it's hard to see over the white sweater she usually wears. Her hair is long red and tied up in a pony tail in the back, this when combined with her glasses makes her seem to be little more then the generic bookish child. Long skirt, doesn't show much, and really the only prominent thing about her really bright red hair. She is a big bookreader and usually has one in front of her. But thats when she is TIMID ELIZABETH when CAPTAIN LIZZY she's a bit different. She lets her hair down for one and tends to favour a bright red long coat similar to the one pirates wear. She still retains her glasses but she puts a eyepatch in front of it. This is because she is not just littlea college student but a HERO OF THE SEAS and thus she has to LOOK REALLY COOL. Whether or not she actually does look cool is debatable however, she is always adding things to the ensemble and taking them off in favor of new ones so it's always a bit different. Personality: Elizabeth is a generic bookworm moe, or atleast at face value. She has to uphold her family name and the like and is thus on tremendous pressure to be perfect and had little socialization with most people outside. As such she tends to blush nervoulsy simply talking to other people and is very quick to give up any argument she was debating with. She simply sucks at being with people. Naturaully this caused her to turn to books which she quickly grew fond of. Her constant reading of them caused her to constantly daydream, further making her unconnected from society. She's a nice enough person and is perfectly willing to help someone, though that person will first have to manage to get based her utter shyness or she is not above running away to avoid the terror of small talk. What most people don't seem to realize however is that being a heiress without any social skills is VERY STRESSFUL. She needed someone to save her, someone to be a hero. Then she realized SHE COULD BE THAT HERO. And thus through the 'ancient spirit infused within her lucky eyepatch' she becomes the amazing CAPTAIN LIZZY. Captian Lizzy is over the top cheesy. She is the superhero straight from all the comic books and mangas Elizabeth reads and is basically the person she wishes she was. Given that Lizzy seems to be a rather hotboiled superhero with a small grasp on what that entails this mignt not be a good thing. Lizzy tries to make heoric speeches constantly with varying degrees of sucess. She also keeps around massive amounts of candy and ballons to give to kids. If people didn't think she was simply a clown street performer she would be in jail so badly right now it's not even funny. Lizzy is a pirate of JUSTICE and will serve those ideals to the bitter end. She is far more sociable as Lizzy as she thinks no one knows she is Elizabeth, this also makes her a terrible flirt when she gets interested. History:
  • Lizzy first emerged during her 10th birthday party. She ran around the neighborhood randomly inviiting pedestrians to her birthday party and begged the clown who was performing to "teach her his wizardly ways". It was generally considered the best birthday party ever.
  • Elizabeth and her family passed by a preaching pastafasterian (who would later be their butler), she overheard his message of pirates and their greatness and took it to heart.
  • Lizzy enrolled into Flintlock University
  • Elizabeth was born into the wealthy Drake family.

Motivations: um duh? SHES A PIRATE, IT'S HER DUTY TO STOP... WHATEVER IT IS. Trivia: She has a motorcycle known as the Golden Hind. She is extremely good driving it. Also the differences between Lizzy and Elizabeth aren't split personallity rather Lizzy is simply Elizabeth when she believes she is protected by a veil of secrecy. No one is actually fooled but they humor her. Theme: Tensei –

NAVI: PIRATEMAN.EXE Name: Pirateman.exe. Gender: Male. Appearance: Pirateman is bulkier then most navi's, a result of being a far older molder then new tech. Overly tall and broad shouldered and generally looking huge. He seems from a older time then most navi's as his skin is a black iron thing. His left leg has been replaced with a harpoon gun instead of a peg leg. His right hand is replaced by a large anchor. His large black pirate hat shadows his head, making the only visible features of his head are two glowing green eyes and the beard of cannon fuses that emerges from his faceshadow. He is garbed in the same coat that his operator wears. His emblem is that of a Black skull with a sea green background. He is usually seen holding a bottle of... something in one of his huge, gilded hands of a cyber cigar dangling from god knows where. His heavy foot and pegleg make a large clank sound as he walks. Personality: Pirateman is loud and dramatic, a rouge's duty is to be dramatic after all YOHOHOHO. He is a big laughter, constantly inserting his trademark YOHOHO into everything. He's addicted to netbacco and Intergrog and is constantly consuming them. He views himself as a privateer of sort, constantly on the look out for some of the more malevolent internet nerdowells but constantly PIRATES (YOHOHOHO) music and movies himself. He then goes to bust a large amount of viruses in order to make up for stealing the videos. As thus he does have a bounty on him but most of the net police are willing to look the other way for him since he is very willing to help them catch more dangerous criminals or clean up virus attacks. Pirateman is constantly looking out for his First Mate Elizabeth, and constantly randomly talks to people on the net to introduce him to Elizabeth in hopes of forcing her into conversation and making some friends. Pirateman is aiming to make a crew and will constantly offer people who impress him a spot in his crew. This is another way for him to get Elizabeth some friends, Pirateman is just devious. Type: Water. [spoiler=Attacks] Take ya down a Peg (Water) – Fires a Harpoon from his Peg leg. Due to balance issues he has to fire them while in the air. Luckily he is able to jump really high to do so. Some of the harpoons have a rope attached which would allow him to zipline to places. Of course if you hit him midair he wont be able to dodge so well. Keelhaul (Break) – A basic slash with his Anchor, it hits hard but is a bit slow. Remote Mine (Obstacle) – This summons a black floating skull that causes a massive explosion when touched. Pirateman can only have three of these out at a time but can teleport them around himself so long as he is not attacking. He is also not immune to their explosions so he can't use them as shields, his fighting style mainly involves using keelhaul and Take Ya down to knock the enemy into one of these mines for massive total damage.

Alright. Nexev, changes have been mentioned over MSN, so you're ACCEPTED. As to actually get this thing going, I'll have an IC thread up within 24 hours, so all talk in regards to character applications should be kept mainly to PMs.

 

Also, Shadow Zero, are you finished with your character? You still haven't made the changes I've asked for, and if you just went up and left, I'll have to cut you now.

Your character is pretty much completly unsympathetic though... You might have gotten a little (A LOT) carried away.
