bury the year
@Admiral: Three days to make the following changes:- I'm confused by what you mean in regards to an "apprenticeship."- A Navi should have at least some form of armor (chest and head, maybe) to condense their form. These aren't Wizards.- Asimov's Three Laws were just for flavor in the opening post: they have no actual bearing on a Navi's operation. You should probably remove them from your app and revise WraithMan's personality to match.- Shadow Force can't be unavoidable/uninterruptable, and can't be that powerful. Admiral_Stalfos19
- I'm confused by what you mean in regards to an "apprenticeship."I take that as my cue to extend personality, then?- A Navi should have at least some form of armor (chest and head, maybe) to condense their form. These aren't Wizards. So that's what the armour's there for. I never knew that, I thought it was just there to protect them- Asimov's Three Laws were just for flavor in the opening post: they have no actual bearing on a Navi's operation. You should probably remove them from your app and revise WraithMan's personality to match. The only mentioning of the Three Laws was in WraithMan's personality... I think? Not entirely sure =/Unless of course you're referring to the fact that WraithMan was sent to be deleted. Will fix anyway.- Shadow Force can't be unavoidable/uninterruptable, and can't be that powerful....yeah, I might've gotten a bit carried away with the power level, and I probably should've done something to make Shadow Force easier to see coming. So yeah, that'll be fixed. Also... can I change Shadow Force so then it punishes the enemy for interrupting it, instead of making it completely uninterruptable? ~Tico~
Whew, I'll be almost done with my app soon. So I have a question: Do all attacks have to be the element we reserved, or can there be one that isn't?
Agro
Whew, I'll be almost done with my app soon. So I have a question: Do all attacks have to be the element we reserved, or can there be one that isn't?I have a sword attack and I'm fire. So no. It's like how Shadowman.exe had sword attacks even though he was invis. Though Rinne'd have to confirm that.
The Amazing Avian
I'd imagine no. I mean specialization is one thing, but I don't think most operators would be into exclusivity when it comes to attacks. I Would find it doubtful that someone doesn't have nulls or swords in their arsenal to help them against their weak element.
bury the year
You don't have to have all attacks in your type, but since you will get the chance to expand later, I'd like for you to start out with at least one or two of your Navi's type. ~Tico~
Gotcha. Incidentally, I've finished my app. Here ya go.btw, the theme is in place just for now. Consider the app complete, but the theme may change. OPERATOR: SHAWN BLITZName: Shawn Blitz (birth name) Zenith Striker (often used forum username)Gender: MaleAge: Nineteen and 8 months.Occupation: Business Executive’s assistant. Appearance: Shawn is of a fairly average build, although slightly more thin than most. He doesn’t seem at all unusual with his fairly long brown hair, although his eyes do give most people a little shock, with the left being a dull orange and the right a brighter blue due to his having a case of heterochromia. His skin is fair due to being indoors for most of his life; he doesn’t have a lot of muscle either as the most exercise he’s done in his life was playing soccer on his junior high team. Shawn is the sort of person to not really care about his appearance, but many say he has a “cool” air about him and should dress the part. His normal attire consists of a white shirt with a black collar and sleeves with a red stripe going across the center, as well as a pair of cargo pants and somewhat new sneakers. When he’s at work, his outfit is then accompanied by a white coat. No matter what he wears, a pair of headphones is always present with his attire. Personality: A bit on the quiet side, Shawn is a thoughtful person. He has a rather odd way of thinking about people though. Instead of comparing their personalities, he’ll use an object, color, or feeling to symbolize/characterize that person in his mind. Although this may seem as if he won’t know the person very well, often times it turns out that he can understand them better than most. Aside from this rather odd quirk, Shawn is generally laid back and has a bit of a calming aura to him. He doesn’t warm up to people right away, but is more willing to give them a chance before having any sort of judgment as to their personality and his personal opinion. Once he’s sure of forming any sort of kinship, he gradually becomes more open and warm-hearted towards them. The soft spot in him rarely shows though; most of the time it does is when his younger sister’s around, as Shawn has a strong brother-to-sister bond with her. Shawn also has a strong curiosity among his traits. He enjoys going to great lengths in order to solve things for himself and considers failure as another step into learning and later, excelling. Because of this, he doesn't get frustrated easily, but he does lack a bit of patience and finesse that only experience can bring (and of which he lacks.) Shown greatly enjoys music and thus can always be found with a pair of headphones on his person. Overall, most people find him to be quite easy to get along with, and speak of him rather highly, although they often state him to be rather childish on certain occasions.History:Given a Navi at the age of eight by his uncle who works at a technological firm. Was then introduced to Netbattling, which he developed a small passion for.Younger sister’s Navi was deleted by a rogue Navi, prompting Shawn to try and recover her data. Due to the limited amount of data remaining, the attempt was unsuccessful, but the fragmented data was then added to Shawn’s own Navi. His Navi, Mistil.EXE, reached what Shawn considered its complete version in high school. Also somewhere around this time, Shawn's curiosity seemed to have gotten the better of him and he began to begin being on the lookout for more unusual occurrences to spice up his life. One of these turned up when he overheard a few unsavory individuals dicussing some sort of criminal plan. Hurriedly recording their conversation, he sent it in anonymously to the law enforcement. A few weeks later, the men were arrested and Shawn became a secret criminal informer, often going out of his way to track down people and foil their plans before they even began. Not even the authorities knew who was giving them these tip-offs, as Shawn made it a point to disguise his voice and never give his name.During the latter half of his first year of college, a family friend came to ask Shawn’s aunt if she or the rest of the family knew anyone who might be interested in getting a position as his assistant. Knowing Shawn’s indecisiveness as to what sort of route to take in life, his aunt decided that he might get something out of learning from a business executive. A few months later, Shawn landed himself a job and began learning the tricks and strategies of business work while getting a good amount for his salary.Motivation: Although Shawn doesn’t find his job boring (although he does slack off while on the job), he feels there’s more out there to challenge himself and Mistil. The recent outbreak of strange attacks has also got him wondering about the real motive and thus he wants to solve the mystery behind it.Trivia: Shawn is 1/8 Japanese (from his mother's grandfather) and thus knows a decent amount of Japanese.Theme: Kenji Ito – NAVI: MISTILTEINN.EXEName: Mistilteinn.exe (Often called simply Mistil.exe)Gender: MaleAppearance: Having being Shawn’s Navi for eleven years, Mistil has undergone numerous appearance changes. His current version has a theme of silver and azure; silver along the armored plates while azure outlining the edges. He wears two metallic gauntlets, both with a blue core in the center of the palm, as well as numerous lines pulsating with color flowing across its surface. On the right gauntlet is where Mistil’s sword will be strapped, otherwise Mistil will be carrying an archaic lance. His legs are outfitted with metallic boots with three buttons along the sides, which are mainly for show, unless Mistil enters combat. Then the boots allow him to have a floatation and the buttons are for increasing the intensity of the “flare” that keeps him afloat. Steel spikes sprout from his shoulder plates. Mistil’s eyes are covered with a crimson visor and his mouth is likewise obscured by a short scarf. His emblem has a four pointed star-like object with its points pointing diagonally outward. Behind the star, there is the image of what appears to be a nova of some sort. Personality: Mistilteinn, although knowing Shawn’s desire for greater excitement, nevertheless takes it as his duty to ensure Shawn doesn’t get in too far over his head. This often results in mild squabbles between the two, but generally the two get along like two halves of a whole. Mistil himself is a confident individual, who calmly approaches every situation with a decisive strategy in mind. In battle, he’s quiet but ruthless and has earned himself a reputation as the “gallant reaper,” referring to his all-out assault style, destroying all enemies with a seemingly effortless grace. His personality took on a little bit of change after his sister Navi (Shawn’s younger sister’s Navi) was deleted and had her data transferred over to him, becoming a tad more emotional and losing a bit of his sarcastic chiding. Nevertheless, Mistil serves well as Shawn’s Navi and the two are a powerful duo.Type: SwordReason behind name: Mistilteinn is a mythical sword of Norse origin. A "legendary weapon" if you will.
Attacks]Fatal Impaler (Sword): Mistil charges toward his opponent, flash-stepping from side to side. Then he comes to a quick stop before blasting forward on his jets to get behind his opponent. Upon landing, Mistil twists in a ninety-degree turn and stabs forward at his opponent's backside with his weapon.Abyss Spiral (Break): Mistil leaps up into the air while charging a ball of indigo energy in his hand. He then does a back flip and kicks it at his opponent in mid-air. The ball transforms into a dark drill-like shape and zooms toward its target.Valor Sonic (Sword): Mistil jets forward with his boots on full flare. Grabbing his opponent, he knocks them backward before unleashing a shockwave slash to follow up while they're disorientated.
bury the year
@Corona Ray: Three days to edit the following.- Why does/did he need an alias? It seems superfluous.- Can you add just a couple more lines of personality?- I don't see the theme behind your Navi, which is problematic. If you're not basing yours off of a previous canon, you need to have something identifiable to tie everything together (like Alder and DragoMan). Please figure something out and edit Olaniear (along with the name) to match: if you need help, PM me.- Fatal Impaler needs to be a bit easier to dodge.- Valor Sonic, since it's striking so many times, would be in the domain of Break. Reduce the number of times significantly or switch the types around.
The Amazing Avian
While working on the app, I seemed to go a bit off the status abilities and more into wood, so I'd like to change my reserve to the Wood type. I will definitely have the app up during the week, but school might have me preoccupied so I might not be able to post it until maybe Thursday or Friday when my teachers cool down a bit on the work. Hydra of Ages
Question. Let's say an attack creates an object, and that object proceeds to shoot fire at an opponent. Would that attack be labelled an Obstacle attack (because creation is technically the only thing the attacker does), or a Fire attack (because that's what the actual damage to the opponent will be)? Check the attacks of my WIP if you need a better example.
Nexev
Poor elemental, WHY U NO POPULAR? I will have to look at the robot masters first but I am probbably going with wood. I don't like following the norm and wood doesn't show up that often.
