Astro Dude
Things just keep getting worse. First the stupid government shuts down the Megasites, then Fileserve and Filesonic are down, now Videozer and VideoBB have ALL their videos gone. Why doesn't the government just shut down the internet and the web while they're at it?

Astro Dude
Sorry I'm just venting. And at the very least could you comment on my official HighSchool DXD and Bodacious Space Pirates threads once in a while?
Makο
What do I have to do with those threads? I don't even KNOW about those.
Astro Dude
Look them up. And this government shutting down video sites thing must stop!
Makο
Well, what exactly can you do to stop it? I guess we, as the internet, can have another blackout or something, but the government shows no signs of stopping. Remember, all of this is happening BEFORE those bills SOPA, PIPA, and that ACTA thing have been passed.
Resident Fascist
They don't care. >>f***, EVEN GOOGLE THE MOST POPULAR SITE ON THE INTERNET<< Had a Blackout. It seems really unhealthy for them. I mean... If someone was that way inclined, making everyone hate you isn't a good idea. Doesn't affect me as I don't use upload/download sites. Astro Dude
We can make a petition. or... we could buy lost anime on dvd.
Resident Fascist
we could buy lost anime on dvd.
I purchase everything I watch anyways. At least, I usually read a plot summary and just buy 1 of the DVDs. If I like it, I just buy all the DVDs as they come out. Makο
As long as Mangareader stays up, I don't really care anymore. I don't really watch much anime anymore anyway. It feels like too much of a hassle. None of the shutdowns really affected me anyway.
Astro Dude
But what about finding what was old online again?
Makο
While it's true that it will be harder to find older things online, there will always be someone with a copy of it, and as long as they do, they will have a chance to upload. Astro Dude
but it'll take forever. dubbinz is already on the road to recovery.
Legend Zero
IIRC, all video hosting sites are not doing anything they shouldn't have been already. Uploading anime that has been licensed is a violation of their Terms & Agreement. The Mega Upload incedent just caused them to strictly enforce their rules. This is what I've heard on streaming sites, anyway.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Research up some reasons before venting anymore. Just like with Megaupload they could have some pretty damn valid reasons.
Astro Dude
All that and Mako still watched Squid Girl subbed and dubbed. Now what do we do? Youtube is considered a safezone.
Makο
I didn't watch dubbed. I said I was going to check it out, but never found the time. ...or motivation, really. IF I WANTED TO WATCH CARTOONS IN ENGLISH, I'D WATCH AMERICAN CARTOONS.
Astro Dude
You supported Squid Girl... Anyway, I'm done. It's over. Youtube and whatever's there is all I have left. At least Youtube doesn't have a time limit!

Astro Dude
watchcartoononline.com had these players, but now they don't work. TOM 3.5
Guys just forget it the government doesn't get why they need to charge for megavideo. They need it for bandwith but people in the feds thinks it free since they get all of there stuff from the goverment. All the companies are forcing us to buy ther stuff and are just driving customers away. Plus they want to fight terrostist when they are cyber terrestrist destroying the internets freedom. They can't use there emails let alone google so they are raging and are trying to ruin it for the non retards.

SOPA, PIPA, and ACTA are all excuses so the government can shut down illegal copywrite infringing sites without doing it in secret.
