Icy
Yeah... tonight I actually felt like doing something off the norm. Some of you may know that I recently learned how to utilize Puppet Warp in Photoshop Cs5, amazing little tool too. But I don't know, maybe it was the off atmosphere today but I decided to crack open zbrush and do some winging on it all (mind you I have no knowledge of the actual workings of the program). Figuring what the hell, all art is the same the only difference is the look of your tool. So I went in swinging blind hoping to hit my target, and what better way to start anything art related eh? It first started off as a basic sphere within Zbrush, and slowly worked my way to something that looked like this. Obviously I have something lizard like, but it still looked a tad basic human (not just humanoid). So I grabbed a tool that is apparently useful in ZbR2 called "Snakehook" which helps you create teeth etc very easily. The end result at that point looking like this. Here's a Profile View. And some time later, after adding depth for it all over, I decided to call it a night since it's 10:40pm here which is unusually late for me; and learn how to render a Zbrush Document as a PSD so I can edit it and save it as a PNG. Which I did, and learned some nice stuff. My end result for the night being this: Previous Picture List of things I learned how to use in this little exploration:

Pinch Brush
Transpose Brush
Standard Brush
Clay Build Up Brush
Smooth Tool
Masking Tool
Snakehook Brush
Rendering Tools
Wax Preview
ZTool (beginner)
Pinch Curve Brush
Lighting Tools
Dynamesh
Polypainting
Insert and Duplicate Polygon/Model
I feel very accomplished for what I learned how to use in the past hour. And I will continue this model until I learn how to properly polypaint it and texture it.
Night
Never heard of the program so I don't know what your goal was other than making a 3D model and learning to use as many of the tools as possible. With that in mind, I'd say you succeeded regardless of the outcome. Quite like the shading, however it might just be too dark around the jaw and cheek-bone. Loving the anatomy of the bones in the upper torso region. A bit on the choppy side on the edges, but I can't hold that against you due to not knowing much of the program. Some programs are just not as HQ such as GIMP, so even the most professional of users can end up with lower quality than one would initially expect, for those who do not know. Overall it's good to see you experimenting with other programs and taking the time to familiarize yourself with all of the tools they have to offer, I know you do that quite often. I myself wouldn't have the patience to do so. Keep it up. Would love to see more art from you in general.
Icy
Eh... I know what caused the choppy look, but at the moment I'd rather have had a solid figure than a floaty one with no real defined shape. Lowered the quality of this "render preview" quite a bit though. And yeah, shadowing is a bit much, forgot to adjust the final shading; I wanted the girdle to show as it has some unique shapes that... well how I got them is fun as it is. Mind you by the way, I did all of this using a touch pad not a mouse, so to those reading don't feel discouraged you can do 3d art it just takes a little more effort. So yeah, how it rendered is entirely my fault. And yeah, I do enjoy using a lot of different tools. Its not a matter of patience for me at all, its more or less just doing it. As I said, all art is the same; the only difference is the tools you use.
Icy
Another hour lol, I tried to learn how to paint a model, and I added some /bone/ features. Also tried to learn how to insert a mesh in a preexisting canvas without following a tutorial, didn't quite work out as I had hoped. Odd though, painting it took longer than actually making it.
Icy
Did a quick study on how to extract meshes from maskings (no tutorials or anything yet again). Just a little common sense, understanding that Zbrush has multiple layer identifications. Some are subtools, others are actual layers etc. As well as learning more about the insert subtool tool, duplicating, resizing etc. Took about... 10 minutes? I was talking to burnpsy at the time too and he can back up this claim lol.
