Advertising Restrictions

Hey guys,

What do you think about the advertising restrictions that a lot of sites have? Do you think they protect against flaming and spamming or do you think it prevents smaller message boards from coming into their own on a legitimate basis?

perosnally i like the advertising ban as there is less chance someone will post site with spyware/ other harmful things

I'm not just talking about this site, but sites in general.

 

And if you don't want spyware and stuff added, maybe the mods and admin should have to review the site before allowing it to be advertised...

 

Ideas?

in that case you will need alot more mods are there would be alot of work to do to review every site that was posted
