A TRUE Five-Material Number! (No. 93 Dark Matter Dragon)

Taylor Gorrell

Recommended Posts

Number 93: Dark Matter Dragon
Rank 4 DARK Dragon/Xyz
ATK:3200/DEF:2700
5 Level 4 monsters
This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Xyz Summon. This card cannot be removed from the field by a monster effect. If an attack by this card would be negated, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to negate that effect. If this card successfully attacks a monster, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the attacked monster's ATK.

THIS is what a five-Material Number should look like. Not that pathetic No. 91: Thunder Spark Dragon.

Discuss.

Hmm, lemme read... cannot be removed from the field by a... MONSTER effect... oh okay, I guess I'll just use, let's see... Bottomless Trap Hole, Compulsory Evacuation Device, Solemn Warning (heck, even Black Horn of Heaven in some sides), Solemn Judgment, Chaos Trap Hole, Dimensional Prison, Mirror Force, Phoenix Wing Wind Blast, Smashing Ground (Fissure, anyone?)... the list goes on. Thanks for wasting five monsters to net yourself a -4 advantage.

I gotta give it SOME limit. It's only Rank 4, even with five Materials. Plus it prevents attack negation (Eat it, Utopia) and has a burn effect. Tack on 3200 ATK, and trust me, that's worth the S/T vulnerablilty.

No, 3200 is not worth it when a simple Dimensional Prison / Torrential Tribute / other kind of monster removal, can get rid of your monster. And no, if a monster requires 5 Level 4's as material, it does not need any freaking limitations.

Lololol, btw, this isn't better than Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon. At least Thunder Spark Dragon has a way to regain you the advantage lost by summoning it, this card however, does no such thing.

I forgot to mention that this was an anime/fanfiction card. Ehehe... sorry. ^^'

Doesn't matter if it was or was not meant to be an anime / fanfiction card, once you post your cards on this site, they will be viewed as how usable they are, what kind of effect do they have and / or are they even worth it, ie you will receive constructive criticism.
