Death Metal
Finnegan reminds me a lot of Gorillaz. Gorillaz aren't indie though. Are they? Never did understand the term anyways, thought it was too vague. To me, this is what I consider indie in sound: Like MGMT, Two Door Cinema Club, Fossil Collective, Fleet Foxes. I'm not too far off right? Marisa Kirisame-ze
Guys, indie isn't just in "sound". It's literally a short word for "independent" from major commercial record labels. It's basically writing and publishing music all on your own. It could sound like anything the musician wants to create. Most indie music usually does have sounds of instrumental and natural voices, but if they have the write equipment and musical instruments, it could sound like any type of music. Indie is, by far, my favorite genre of music just because it's so pure, in a way. I love Florence + The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Walk Off the Earth, Arctic Monkeys, etc. From ranges of indie to indie rock and indie pop. It's all so good. Death Metal
Then technically half the bands I listen to could be considered 'Indie'. Ehhhh. Indie Symphonic Black Metal just doesn't sound right to me. ;p I have grown a liking for Indie Folk bands like Fleet Foxes, very calming sound.
