Kyng's Old Account

Linu tried to ignore her hunger as she began to mingle with the other students arriving at the school, an stream of incomprehensable noise and chatter met her ears as she wandered through the main entrance, none of it really mattered that much to her anyway. Her ears perked up suddenly when she heard someone calling her name, recognizing it as Natsumi's. For a second she pondered whether she should return the greeting or pretend she didn't hear it and move on without a word. After a deep breath she turned in Natsumi's direction, trying her best not to appear depressed or guilty, she wasn't sure how well she was doing.

"Good morning," she said, walking up to join Natsumi and wishing she shared her good mood.

A slight commotion near by caught Linu's attention and she looked around, spotting Kiyoshi and a few other club members, from the looks of things it looked like Sese had just bumped into Kiyoshi for whatever reason. Upon seeing him however Linu's face dropped and she thought about trying to hide behind someone to avoid Kiyoshi's gave, Narumi however would be far too small. Kiyoshi, however, seemed to be leaving after only briefly greeting the others. Linu glanced at him curiously, noting something a little off about the way Kiyoshi carried himself.

"Is...He okay?" She turned to Narumi, not actually having seen Kiyoshi for the past week (due in part to her own habit of avoiding the school altogether).

Narumi tilted her head to the side at Linu's voice. Even though she said 'Good Morning', from her voice it sounded like her morning could have been better. Even so, Narumi still smiled hoping for her good mood to somehow rub off on Linu. "Well, a very good morning to yourself. How have you been lately?" She decided to ask, though Linu wasn't paying any attention to her, but instead at a commotion that had occurred a bit away from them. Narumi realized that the commotion was being caused by the people from their club, but the person that specifically caught the young Kitsune's attention was Kiyoshi who had been knocked down by Sese only moments ago. 'Y-yamada-san!' She thought smiling and about to call out to him, but before she could he walked away looking unlike himself. Even though she really didn't know him all that well, his current actions seemed to be out of character for him. 'I wonder....If something is upsetting him...' Narumi was brought from her thoughts when Linu asked her if Kiyoshi was ok.

To answer this Narumi shrugged, now frowning herself. "I don't know. Maybe he's just not feeling well...I mean I haven't been speaking to him since that night a week ago. So if there is something wrong I wouldn't know." She didn't know why she was so worried over Kiyoshi and his problems, but she knew that she wanted to help him in any way possible. This whole thing was new to her so the action she should take was unknown to her. Narumi sighed, "He's really a confusing person. So," Narumi started turning back to Linu, "What were you about to do?"

Cecil's rant upon the tale of Damocles set a line for Kiyoshi, his understanding of it was that Power in itself brought forth dear consequences, consequences such as madness, but otherwise would include resentment, arrogance, sheer obnoxious mentality; the tale told Kiyoshi he needed to be aware of the risks, and not to stray into them so blindly, because they'd come back and haunt him. Kiyoshi, himself, didn't realize the risks of becoming stronger because to him his cause was much greater. He felt if he stuck to his cause, his reasoning, his goals, madness would have near no reason to burden him. The power he lusted after was to become stronger.

Gazing upon Cecil, Kiyoshi began to think to himself the many reasons why he wanted the power. 'I want power to become stronger, so that I can do my class, my species' righteousness; so that I can prove to Raijin I am worthy of my blessing; to do my momma proud; to protect those who I love and care deep about, like my little sister Kiki, my mom and dad, and the YADJS, Narumi and Naoko, Sese and Senshi, Linu and Jin, and Azure...I want strength so he won't need to step in for me, so I can hold my own. I want power so that I can see my true potential, so I can become a greater self, so I will no longer have the ability to rise to the occasion, and so that I can prove to everyone, and myself, that I can do it. But...but most of all.'

The words that left his lips were "I want to prove myself worthy of my own powers." before his eyes fixed fiercely upon Cecil as he said, frustration notable in his voice "I would have been able to end it, that Golem wouldn't have stood a chance if I could have done it, but...I couldn't..." before taking a pause, his eyes wincing from the humiliation he felt admiting that "...I feel like my own powers are rejecting me. I could not use my Black Lightning, my most powerful technique. Normally it's difficult enough to use on its own, the intensity of the attack making me have to fire it into the earth itself...but this time, it just attacked me viciously. You saw how that Golem attacked me, right? He brutally punched me, smashed me; my own attack hurt me about ten, twenty times even greater than the Golem's attempts."

Kiyoshi then rested his back upon the wall, and summarized himself saying "I want to be able to control my power, Cecil. I don't care what happens, I don't care how I achieve it, but I want to control my own strength; it should not be controlling me. I want to reach, and even exceed, my limits." before sighing after all that, sitting down and curling upon the wall opposite the PSC Room, thinking about what had happened. How could have it happened? Kiyoshi felt it was his own powers rejecting him, deeming him an unsuitable wielder, one who disgraces the Raiju: an abomination, and that stung Kiyoshi deep into the core. He never knew he could think like this. But a week ago, Kiyoshi was a student having fun, making friends, and his only worry was school work! Now, even though he did manage to get said work done, he just was obsessed with the desire of power.

He had absolutely no idea what the true root cause of this all was. Facts spoke louder, and Kiyoshi's black lightning did not backfire on it's own. If not for previous events, Kiyoshi's attack would have worked, and absolutely trashed the golem into pieces. Something locked them, sealed them, but whatever the case Kiyoshi was going to learn how to become greater, so that such things would be a mere distraction, and so powerful his own might would easily shatter the magical bonds which bound his attack. He wanted to become stronger, that was his priority now, nothing else would remove this ideal from his heart.

Jin flustered around in the crowd, being unable to spot Kiyoshi, or any of the others. Likely because he had been so busy with personal things and an assignment that he's even forgotten what they look like. Finally, after his useless searching, he fled into the academy and hid where he could find a place with the least students. Making a coming to one of the locker area's, Jin stopped at his own locker. The bag he had carried with him slung off his shoulder and hit the ground. He remained motionless and silent for a few moments. There wasn't many other students around and Jin had closed his eyes. He pressed his forehead against the cold-metal of his locker door and suddenly the silence broke.

*WHAM* Jin slammed his fist hard into his locker's door. Doing more damage then a just a mere dent. His punch so fierce it nearly blasted a hole right through it. His face was tense, his eyes shut tight. Pain was written all over his face. There were small trickles of blood from his left hand, the one that effortless bashed in his locker door. He lifted his arm to go again at the locker door but he grabbed his right-shoulder with his right hand and slid onto his knees. "Maybe i should just leave... i don't belong i.." Speaking aloud, but to him self, his rapidly moving thoughts kept stopping and changing his words. He couldn't stop thinking about how he wasn't there during the events that had fallen upon the other members of the detective club. "Would things be the way they are now...?" He kept asking him self the same question. The same question that is tearing him apart mentally, and emotionally.

Some time past and Jin fell onto a bench-like-structure a short distance away from each locker. The blood from his knuckles had dryed but they were a deep red and skin was tore, it would be clearly obvious something happened. "No one would care.." he thought to him self before slowly picking his body back up. Standing infront of his locker he fiddled with the combination lock to open it. Despite the damage he inflicted to it, it shouldn't prevent it from opening. . . . A few moments after fiddling with the lock, Jin began to grow slowly enraged, squeezing the lock tight in his hand and then with great force tears the lock off the hinge. Slowly but surely, Jin was succumbing to the inner beast within him, the source which draws breath from his anger. Within moments Jin found him self out of breath, and his body heavy. It was as if he's also trying to fight back against his beastial desires. Once more, falling back onto the bench, he slumped his shoulders and layed his head down infront of him, remaining motionless to try and calm him self down.
