Combine resided only a mile or so away from the Demon Kingdom boundries. The sky was a dull, light grey as a fine sprinkle of rain, which could almost be passed off as fog, put the small town into a haze as buildings and the residents were in a slight blur, even for the people with the sharpest of eyesight. It was just another typical fall day for the people of Combine. Down one of the main streets of the town was a small alchemy shop, where within slept a young demon at the counter. The day had been painfully slow with no customers coming in or jobs needing to be done. And with the dull, dreary atmosphere the weather gave off, the young man couldn't help but fall asleep. As the man slept, his pitch-black hair covered his eyes and most of his face. Within his locks of black hair were bits of pure white. Despite the popular belief, the white wasn't dyed in. It was just something his hair started to do naturally after he turned seven years old. A few minutes after the man lifted his head to switch the cheek he laid his head on, the bell above the door jingled as the owner walked in with some supplies. The sudden noise of the bell caused the young man to spring up, his light hazel eyes wide open. This cause the owner to let out a hefty laugh as he walked over to the younger male. Placing a friendly hand on his back, the owner said, "Why don't you go home early today, Alliaster? It's already starting to get dark and no one's been in all day." Alliaster nodded slightly as he rubbed his left eye, "Thanks.. I'm sure mother would enjoy the help with closing." "Speaking of who.. Give your mother my regards," the shop owner said, patting Alliaster's back before heading to the back room to take care of the supplies. Gathering up his things, Alliaster left for home. About thirty minutes of walking had passed and Alliaster could finally see a small sign for a convenience store lite up, fending off the darkness that settled over the town now that the sun gave way for the moon, spots of stars escaping through the now-dissipating overcast. Not only was the sign an indication that a store was there, but it also signaled to Alliaster that he was almost home. You see, the store's second floor was the home where he and his mother lived happily for as long as he could remember. However, happiness, like everything else, can only last for so long. The smile that appeared on Alliaster's face once he spotted the small sign slowly started to disappear as he started to spot patches of broken glass and random items under the glow of the sign. Just as his smile disappeared all together, he took off in a run, quickly closing the distance. As he reached the front of the store, he skidded to a stop, slipping slightly over the shards of glass. Standing there for a moment, his jaw dropped as he examined the scene, his peach skin lossing a tone of tone of color. A faint, slow dripping sound was barely audible from his position. . . ------------- The Day Before ------------- About 800 miles away, southeastern from Combine, is the capital city of the Demon Kingdom. The day as bright and warm, it was slightly muggy, but it was easily dealt with with a light outfit and the small breeze the weather provided. The clouds were small balls of fluff that floated by almost as fast as the town was busy. Within the middle of the busy city stood a 50 foot wall that was a combination of steel and stone. On top, a few scattered sentries could be found, lazily gazing into the city. Mean while, all the gates that lead into the inner part of the wall were wide open, with only a few guards watching over the little traffic that went through them. The only gate that wasn't busy was the main gate, the gate that lead to the main doors of the castle. The castle's surface was worn smooth by the hand of time, many of its once-intricate features worn down to faint shadows, visible only to those who sought to spot them. The creatures and angels that are a part of the castle's wall are still visible, but are not as fierce as they once were and faces washed away only to be restored by the imagination. This continued upward for about four stories, seven if you counted the towers that were at the corners. The main doors, however, seemed to be the only thing either untouched by time, or constantly restored. The main doors were stained a deep, deep red. There was a special rumor that floated around the city if one were to ask about them. The doors were said that their color originated and was restored at least once a year by the blood of those foolish enough to challenge the current king of the Demon Kingdom, Keiz. No one knew if the rumor was true, but they didn't disbelieve it either, after all, Keiz was a tyrant. About 21 years ago, the Old King, the ruler for almost six hundred years, died suddenly by a fever that started off small but flared up quickly that added to it a cough that rarely stopped, a difficult time eating and digesting and all other sorts of symptoms. The doctors did what they could to try and cure the Old King, but nothing worked out in end. When the Old King died, he had no children of his own and his wife, the Queen, died almost 150 years before him. With no heir to be found, the Kingdom was quickly put under a power void and anarchy was soon upon the capital if nothing was done about it. It was then, when the Old King's right-hand man, Keiz, stepped up to the plate and took hold of the reins. At first, everyone was grateful that he became king, avoiding the chaos that would have befallen them all and thought that if the Old King saw him fit to be his right hand man, he, too, was as good as a man as the Old King. Unfortunately, as time had pass, Keiz tightened his grip on the reins and became a forceful ruler, both up front and behind the curtains. It was beyond these frightful doors that laid the thorn room, which Keiz resided at that moment. He sat boredly upon the throne, his legs hunging over one of the arm rests as his back stretched acrossed the other. The room was large, empty and rather dimly lit. Besides the throne, the red carpet that connected the throne to the door and the flag of the Kindgom hanging behind the throne, there was nothing else within the room. The reason for this was because Keiz allowed and even welcomed people to come to him and challenge him to a fight for rule over the kingdom. To him, where better the fighting spot then within the throne room itself? As for the lighting, despite the many windows being open, the room was poorly lit, as if something was either sucking up the light or blocked much of it from entering. Even with the lack of light, Keiz was stood out slightly in the dim lighting, due to his unusual coloring. His skin was a pale peachish-purple color and his hair was almost white, if it wasn't for the slight tint of pink it had. As Keiz let out a sigh of boredom, hoping someone would come to fight him or at least something interesting would happen, a messenger of his stepped out of the shadows from behind the throne and began to whisper in his ear. As the messenger related his report, a malicious smile appeared on Keiz's face. Dismissing the messenger, Keiz then let out a certain whistle, "Luna, c'mere if you would." His malicious smile grew wider as a younge female stepped out of the shadows, walking towards him, her pale blue eyes cutting through the darkness. Normally, he would have called for two others, Vun Doom and Sinn Alldin, but they were either out on research or on a journey, respectively. "Yes, Lord Keiz," she inquired as she stopped a few feet in front of him. She was a skinny, but lean woman. Her hair was a dull black, which looked as black as night compared to her peachish-white skin, that was held in two ponytails. One ponytail reached just beyond her hip and the other nearly touched the floor. "I have a job for you, my dear Luna," Keiz stated as he sat up correctly on the throne, leaning forward with eagerness. . .

As Alliaster stood outside the building that doubled as his home and the convenience store his mother ran, he stared inside. Within the ground level was the convenience store, there were shelves that had been knocked over, items scattered and thrown about, a broken light or two and broken glass just about everywhere. Stepping in carefully, the glass crunching underneath his feet, he looked about for any sign of movement. There were none. As he stood in the middle of the floor, he called out for his mother and listened quietly. Nothing. He was about to call out for his mother again when he heard a dripping noise coming from the stairs, "Huh?" Running quickly to the stairs, slipping twice on the broken glass, he stood at the base of the stairs and looked up. At the top of the stairs to the right, he could see a hand hanging over the edge, palm down, with blood just now starting to drip down off of it. Rushing up the stairs, taking three steps at a time, he quickly reached the top and looked to his right. There, laying face down, was the body of his mother as a small puddle of blood trailed from her to the stairs. "Mother," Alliaster yelled out, quickly kneeling besides her. He gently rolled her over, where a stab wound could be seen at the bottom right of her torso. Holding her softly in his arms, he began to rock softly as he began to weep. As a tear fell onto her face, her eyes fluttered slightly before she opened them just enough to see her son. A weak smile appeared on her face before she whispered, "Alliaster... My dear son.." "Mother! You're alive! Hold on, I'll call a doctor!" Alliaster blurted out. He was about to get up and call the family doctor, who lived about a block away mind you, when his mother grabbed hold of his left forearm and squeezed it. "No.. There's something I need to tell you.. It's.. very important..." she whispered out. "Please, don't talk! Save your strength! It won't take long for Dr. Mandou to get here!” He softly laid his mother back down and reached for the phone, immediately speed dialing Dr. Mandou. As the phone ran, Alliaster quickly took off his black jacket and began ripping parts of his white shirt off. Bundling them up and pressing them against his mother’s stab wound, Dr. Mandou answered. “Dr. Mandou! Please, come quickly! It’s mother! She’s been stab! I’m applying pressure to the wound but you need to come quickly!” Alliaster blurted out before the doctor had time to say anything. “She’s conscious but weak. Please, hurry!” Hanging up after the doctor did, Alliaster turned his attention back to his mother, who waited patiently to speak again. “My son.. I know not if I’ll make it.. So please.. Listen carefully,” she whispered. Alliaster opened his mouth to protest her talking, but her stern look caused him to close his mouth and nod. “My child.. Nothing will ever.. be the same again… I fear Keiz has learned of who you are..” She paused for a moment, gathering her strength, “You more then a mere alchemist.. You are a lost heir to a throne that’s been yours to inherit before you were born.. Not even the Old King knew of you.. He couldn’t have.” She paused once more, to gather up strength again and to let Alliaster wrap his mind about what he had heard. “Oh my! What a mess! Alliaster, where are you?!” A familiar female voiced yelled from down stairs. Snapping his head up, he yelled back, “We‘re upstairs Dr. Mandou! Hurry!” Pulling Alliaster close, his mother began to whisper, “He sent an assassin here today.. To finally set his reign in stone. But that can happen.. Alliaster.. Keiz must be stopped.. You’re.. the only one…. who can do that.. And remember.. No matter what happens.. I will always be proud of you..” As the doctor could be heard rushing up the stairs, his mother’s eyes began to slowly shut… ------------- Meanwhile, outside ------------- In the dark of the night, next to the building, there was a pair of eyes glowing a faint, dull red. As the eyes and the rest of the figure stepped out into a street light, the eyes changed into an alluring green color as the figure revealed itself to be a very lean woman with a tranquilizer rifle strapped to her back, her long blonde hair almost hiding it from view. Look up and back at the second level of the building, she murmured, “What a waist of blood.. I have a bone to pick with this Keiz person..” Looking forward once more, the female walked back into the darkness. At the opposite side of the house, on the roof, stood another female figure. With the moon in the backdrop, the figure’s head could be seen drooped down as her uneven ponytails waved softly in the wind. After a few moments of silence, the female suddenly disappeared. ------------- Later that night ------------- Keiz sat upon his throne, waiting for Luna to return from the job he sent her on. It was a simple job and knowing her skills, she’d have it done before the night was over. As if that was her cue, the door opened and she rushed in "Sir!" She said, a hint of fear in her voice. "His mother has been... taken care of, but he was no where to be found. I have dispatched the other assassins to search for him." She sighed, and looked down at her feet, nervous. "Sir, are you really sure this is the kid? I mean, really..." She shook her head. "From what the report said, he does not seem like he would be a huge threat to you." A frown came to his face as it started to turn red from rage, but he was able to contain it. "Physically.. No, he poses no threat.. But if the public were to learn of this... truth.. A riot would start, making my plans complicated.. After all... I would like to have living subjects... Not dead.." He got up and paced back and forth a little, planning his next step. "If he knows of his blood, there will be no doubt that he will come to claim what is his... And if he does that, I can't kill him directly.. Hmmm…’ As Keiz paced back and forth, planning his next step, a little assistant that wore a black coat opened the door, allowing for another figure to enter the throne room. “Who is it now?!” Keiz snapped out in frustration. "Lord Keiz, it's been far too long..." Said the figure. As the figure stepped closer, it was revealed that he wore a long black and white robe and had green and yellow emo-stylish hair. He had a constant smirk that was eerie to the eye. His cold eyes remained half opened showing nothing from his soul. He also held a gold cane as a walking stick although it appeared he didn't need it really. Bowing down and put his cane holding arm out wide and his other arm across his chest. "I hope you have been well, and you to, Luna." "Ah! Vun! It, indeed, has been too long. Tell me your absence has been worthy.." Pulling a book out from under his robe, Vun’s smirk remained as he said, “It'll take me a few months, but in the end this castle will be blessed with an army, Lord Keiz.” Raising his left eyebrow, he asked, "An army? I've already got an army filled with demons.. What could you offer that is better than a demonic army?" Vun spread his arms wide and maintained his light smirk. "Lord Keiz, I offer you an army of the formerly deceased, that which fears nothing, that which can't feel pain, that which is unstoppable in masses.... I offer you.. an army of the Undead!”

Keiz and Luna looked to Vun as if he was a mad man. An army of the Undead? It was unheard of! Not to mention it was in the top tier of list of things that were taboo. Raising the black and gold book up, Vun continued to talk without waiting for a response from the two, "Kyroo has blessed me with this handy tool, a tool that, overtime, can summon an undead army to be under the control of whomever I choose. Lord Keiz, your demons are powerful and they strike fear into the hearts of everyone around them.. But however, the Undead believe in only 2 things.. Obeying their master and fighting until they die. An army like that to add to your masses will be unstoppable!" Luna continued to stare at Vun as if he was a mad man. Correction, she looked at him like he was more of a mad man than he normally was. Keiz, during the explanation, sat down and placed his left elbow on the arm rest of the throne and rested his head upon the hand. His look changed from the initial shock to deep consideration. After a moment of silence and thought, Luna looked to Keiz and opened her mouth to protest. Keiz immediately raised his right hand, not wanting to hear her protest and the silence to last longer. Luna rolled her eyes and protested anyways, “I don’t like this idea.. How do we know we can trust you with such power and control, Vun?! Anyone holding the book with have absolute control over the Undead!” Luna was about to continue talking, but decided to keep this one thought to herself. She also wanted to say that anyone with the power of that book could easily overrun Kingdom’s themselves. She didn’t want to give Vun any ideas, though he probably already debated on it. “You’re concerns are well placed, Luna.. But before Lord Keiz makes a decision, perhaps a demonstration is in order?” Vun said, looking directly at Keiz the entire time. After a moment’s thought, Keiz waved his right hand to Vun, signaling him to do the demonstration. Vun nodded and walked forward a bit, his little assistant hurried to grab the book and hold it open for him. He then began reading it. "There are 3 stages to the Undead, each stage more deadlier then the last. Stage 1 are your mere ghouls and zombies, they are mindless and live to fight and die." Vun then read something from the book and suddenly a black aura emitted from the ground as a small, skinny, white ghoul rose from it. It was 5 foot tall and had claws as fingers. "Stage 1, the Ghouls. The next stage are the Golem ghouls, Giant Ghouls, fast Gouls, the works. They have a slight capacity to think but are still born to kill and be killed." Vun then again read something from the Tome, causing an 8 foot tall fat ghoul with holes in its gut that held 2 large meat cleavers. "This is stage 2.. The Abominations." Vun then smirked even wider, "And finally.. stage 3..." Suddenly a slight wind picked up within the room. As Vun finished reading the next paragraph in the book, a vampiric-like figure rose up. It had 1 black wing and long silver hair along with more humanistic features, a face, a mouth, etc. He also wore a black torn robe and was 6 foot tall. The newest Undead walked forward and knelt before the throne, "This is a prime example of stage 3, the Invincibles. 100% obedient, strength beyond that, speed even further and they fear nothing. Lord Keiz This gift is too precious to turn down. These creatures of the Undead will be under your and whomever you chose’s direction." As he said that, the first two summons disappeared. By the time the demonstration came to an end, Luna had sit down on the right arm of the throne, watching Vun and his summons very carefully, especially the last one. Keiz, on the other hand, didn’t seem too concerned about Vun attacking him. In fact, he had been busy figuring out how he would incorporate the undead army with his current one. Luna looked to him and was about to protest some more, but instead of raising a hand this time, he glared at her. She kept quiet this time. Keiz opened his mouth to tell of his decision when the doors to the throne room swung open with such a force that the hinges broke, causing one of the large doors to fly across the room and slam into the wall behind Keiz and Luna, right to their position, while the other one slid across the tiled floor a few feet. ------------- Meanwhile in Combine ------------- It had been about three hours since Alliaster came home to his dying mother. He sat at her bedside, watching her sleep. When Dr. Mandou had arrived, she passed out from blood loss and fatigue from fighting off the assassin. Alliaster looked down his left elbow, where a small bandage was. He reflected on what happened the past three hours. Dr. Mandou did the best she could do to treat the wound, which then lead to the immediate blood transfusion involving Alliaster and his mother. She had lost more then he could safely give, but the amount she gained was enough to help her last until the morning, when Dr. Mandou could get more blood from the local blood bank. Alliaster’s mind then went back to what his mother had told him. Now that the panicky situation of his mother’s life had been reduced enough, he was finally able to reflect on what she had said. Was he really the heir to the Kingdom? If he was, why was it hidden from him for so long? Was he fit to be king? He didn’t fight much, wasn’t that much of an outgoing people person, and wasn’t as educated as royalty. And what of the people? Would the people accept him if took the crown? Some people in Combine didn’t socialize with him and his mother because she gave birth to him, a bastard child. Would a out-of-wedlock child be an acceptable heir to the throne? These questions and many more flooded Alliaster’s mind. Shaking his head, he rose up to go down stairs and try to tidy things up. But before he could walk away, his mother stirred in bed for a moment. “Mother?” Alliaster whispered as a smile appeared on his face. Opening her eyes slowly, she smiled to Alliaster. Looking to his left elbow and then to her bandaged right elbow, she faintly said, “My son.. Such a giving person.. Willing to give and sacrifice anything of his for those he cares about.. I’m sad to tell you this but.. I’m merely on borrowed time. My number was up when I closed my eyes.. I can feel Death waiting patiently for me to finish my business before he takes me to my loved ones that have passed before me.. Including your father..” Alliaster’s smile slowly faded away as he felt his heart sank. “But mother.. You’ll be fine in the morning, when Dr. Mandou can get you some more blood..” She softly shook her head, but with a gentle smile. “Alliaster.. You know the bottles of wine I’ve kept to the side in the cellar?” He nodded slowly. “Think you could grab the older one of the two?” Alliaster raised his left eyebrow, “Is it really appropriate to be drinking righ-” He was cut off by the ‘just go get it’ look his mother gave him. He couldn’t help but smile at how stubborn she was still, despite her possibly being on her death bed. “Alright, alright. I’ll go get it.” Hesitating for a moment, he left her bedside and the room. After a few moments to make sure Alliaster was down the stairs, his mother looked to the sliding window door that lead to the small balcony. “Darius.. I know you’re out there. Come in and warm yourself.” A few seconds past before the presence out on the balcony decided to manifest itself. On the balcony, a tall, lean man began to materialize himself. He had blackish-grey hair that grew to his waist, a long nose with sharp, brown eyes and skin that was paled by the touch of a death the happened long ago. Sliding the door quietly and stepping in, he chuckled, “Sierra.. You know I am a revenant and thus.. I don’t feel temperature.” Rolling her eyes, she snapped back playfully, “Oh shush and visit with me.” Closing the door behind him and taking a seat next to her, he said, “What happe-” Sierra cut him off with a wave of dismissal, “Let’s just have happy conversation.. Alliaster can fill you in later. For now, let us drink!” Darius was about to ask what she meant when he heard footsteps at the door. Looking up, it was Alliaster stopped in the doorway, looking directly at him. “Who are you and why are you here?” Alliaster barked at Darius. Darius was about to answer when Sierra cut him off, “His name is Darius.. A good friend of mine. He’s watched over us ever since you were a child.” “Watched over us, eh? If that’s the case.. Where was he when you were attacked!!” Alliaster yelled out in fury. “I was keeping an eye on Keiz.. When I heard of what he planned.. I rushed back but I see now I was too lat- Ow!” Darius yelped slightly when Sierra reached up and yanked his ear. “I said this was merry making time! Alliaster, pour yourself and Darius here a glass of wine. I’ll drink from the bottle myself,” Sierra said with a wide smile. Hesitating for a moment, Alliaster eventually did as he told. Handing the bottle to his mother and a glass to Darius, they all raised their portion of the wine up in a sobering cheers. Darius took a sip from his glass as Sierra took a long swig from the bottle. Letting out a happy sigh, Sierra smiled to the bottle and then to Alliaster, who just stared somberly at his glass of wine. “You know.. It’s been tradition in our family that when a child is born.. A bottle of wine made that year is bought and saved for that child. And then.. when we feel our days coming to an end.. we open the bottle and drink from it merrily with loved ones to enjoy and reflect upon our life. This wine we are drinking is my bottle of wine,“ Sierra almost sang out, proud of the strange tradition her family had. “Does that mean this bottle is over a thousand years ol-OW” Darius began to tease playfully before Sierra yanked his ear again. This caused a small chuckle to come out of Alliaster as his mood began to lift, hearing his family history. Returning to her little story, Sierra continued, “The other bottle is of yours, Alliaster. Make sure to always have that bottle with you, no matter where life takes you. Also, its just as important to make sure my grandbabies get one.” Sierra paused for a moment to watch Alliaster blush at the mention of him having kids one day before playfully threatening him with, “’Cause if you don’t, I’ll make sure to come back and yank that ear of yours off.” Alliaster instinctively reached up and covered his left ear upon hearing the playful threat. They each looked to one another for a moment before bursting into laugher. As they drank wine and listened to the stories Sierra told, Alliaster still had a hard time believing that someone so.. so full of life was only on borrowed time. As Darius began to add his own little bits of the events of Sierra’s life, Alliaster noticed his mother’s skin was almost as pale as Darius’… ------------- Back at the Castle ------------- In the destroyed doorway stood a tall figure. At his side was a sword and to his back was a bow and some arrows. A smirk could be seen while the rest of his face was hidden within the robe he wore. Keiz didn’t care what the intruder looked like. He just ruined his beautiful doors! Stand up quickly, Keiz yelled out with a level of fury that few people have ever seen, "Who DARES to burst into my castle!? I'm fine with having guests and all, but SERIOUSLY!? A KNOCK WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU!?" He was about to walk to the intruder, ready to cut his throat into ribbons, when Luna held out her arm in front of him. They locked eyes for a moment before Keiz let out a sigh and sat back down, “Be quick about it..” Nodding, she walked towards the trespasser, starting to emit a blue aura. She left singed footprints on the rug with every step as she took towards the trespasser. She waved her hand in the direction of the throne, Keiz, and Vun. A clear, light blue wall now separated them, blocking off any attacks that would be made towards her King and his guests. "I'm afraid that you are trespassing. Please leave." She announced, not letting her voice falter. "Now why would I do that? Since you won't allow me to get to the throne..." The intruder began as he turned to the door and walked to it. Holding his left hand out, fire rushed out and engulfed the entryway. After a few moments, the fire formed a clear, faint red wall similar to Luna’s. Despite the clear appearance, it was made out of fire and would burn anything in seconds that touched it. He then returned to his original position, "I won't allow anyone to leave until I speak with Keiz.. For you see.. I recently had a lackey of his attack me,” the intruder announced, pulling back the hood. The hood revealed eyes to be of dragon by nature and skin that seemed slightly different, but one could not put their fingers on to what was different about it. Keiz looked to the intruder with curiosity. He’s never seen a human with dragon eyes, despite his 263 years of life. Vun Doom, however, had a wicked smirk on his face. The remaining summoned creature looked to his master and asked, “Shall I assist the female, Master?” Vun slowly shook his head no, “No Mafisto.. This is a fight between two individuals I know fairly.. fairly well..”

Luna couldn’t help but grin when the intruder pretty much issued out a challenge to her when he threatened to not let anyone leave until he had answers. “Is that so, intruder? Who says you have the right to bark out commands and threats like that? After all.. you have vandalized our home and disrupted a very important meeting. That enough is a good enough reason you kill you here and now,” Luna threatened as she summoned forth some of her magic, causing a strange gun to manifest itself. The gun engulfed Luna’s left forearm and hand, as the inside of the short. two foot wide barrel began to glow a faint azure. “I am Luna Solen, the King’s Hand.. It is my job to serve and protect him. You do not intimidate me, stranger. Now be gone or I will have to create a splatter on the wall behind you and I really don’t want to be on cleaning duty tonight..” The intruder looked to Luna with a raised eye brow and a small smirk. “You don’t intimidate me as well, Luna,” he said he name with distaste, “ and I would recommend you don’t fight with me. A battle is not determined by strength or skill, but by the simple fact of whether you are able to cut your opponent’s skin or not,” he paused for a moment, his smirk widening, “And I have yet to meet an opponent who has been able to cut my skin..” He held out his left hand, palm-side up, calling to the power of fire. Suddenly, a tennis ball sized fiery ball appeared on top of his hand. “So Luna.. Shall we?” Luna glared at the man, sizing him up before she quickly lifted up the gun, aiming it directly at the man. A basketball-sized ball of magic formed within the barrel and shot out the intruder. In return, the man shot out his ball of fire. Both balls collided in midair, causing a small explosion to take place, followed up by a fiery flare up that quickly died away. A dust cloud formed between the two fighters, it didn’t engulf the fighters, but was just big enough to block their field of vision from one another. Keiz leaned slightly forward as he sat on the throne, interested by how this fight was going to end. Vun, however, simply continued to watch the fight without a change of interested. Behind him, his small assistant hiding from the two fighters. Besides him, Mafisto stared towards the intruder’s general direction, his eyes filled with disdain as his concentration on the fight never broke. For a few moments, a stifled silence and anticipation filled the throne room as everyone waited for the next move. Suddenly, Mafisto alerted out to Luna, “Above you!” The shocked Luna looked up. Descending down to Luna, the figure had drawn his sworn and was baring it down on her. Jumping to her left, she rolled onto her feet and turned around. Lifting up her left arm, she fired off a few more rounds of magic towards the intruder. The intruder ran towards Luna’s wall, running up it a few steps before leaping off of it towards her. Taking a deep breath in, he breathed out hard as a small ball of flame formed in front of his lips. Fire flared out from the ball towards Luna in a way that made it look as if the intruder had just breathed fire. The fire engulfed Luna and an eight feet wide circle. Landing behind Luna, a few feet beyond the fire, the intruder turned around and looked to the fire with a smirk, certain that his opponent was finished. A look of concern covered Keiz’s face for a brief moment before it was quickly replaced by a smirk. “So much for- Huh?” the intruder began to say before he was cut off guard when a knife flew out of the fire, towards him. His smirk widened as he didn’t even bother an attempt to deflect or dodge the knife; instead, he was going to let it simply hit him. A foot before the knife would make contact, however, the knife glowed a faint azure before it multiplied into a dozen knives. Raising his arms in pure instincts, he covered his face as the knives, one by one, bounced off of his skin and landed on the ground with a faint clank. Lowering his arms, he looked to fire. In the center stood Luna, surrounded by a faint-blue, clear dome that was similar to the wall she erected up earlier. As she stood there, she had her left arm raised up to the intruder. Instead of the gun being there, she had her palm facing out towards the intruder. A few inches in front of her palm was a small azure disk of magic. Suddenly, the dome around her shattered, snuffing out the fire in the process as the smoke was mysteriously absorbed with the azure disk. The intruder looked to the disk in confusion. A smirk appeared on Luna’s face, as she began to explain the disk to the intruder, “Since I can’t cut you.. I’ll simply have to kill you in another way. Before me is a simple teleportation spell that will transport anything absorbed into it into space. Get absorbed by this, you’ll die a quick and painful death. Come at me if you dare.” Tension began to fill the air as the intruder studied Luna and the disk, thinking of a way to overcome both of them. Just as the tension was about to become unbearable, Vun couldn’t help himself; he let out a chuckle that lead into a laugh. “This is just marvelous! All of my research has been confirmed in this brief fight. It seems that Luna has you in check-mate, Akarui!” A look of shock covered everyone’s faces as they all looked to Vun. After a moment of silent shock and awe, the intruder, now identified as Akarui, demanded answers, “How do you know my name and what do you know of me?!” Vun let out another chuckle, his half smirk still on his face, “What? You want to know of your childhood?” Vun let out a small bit of information, teasing Akarui as if he was cat, dangling some string in front of him. Akarui gritted his teeth in anger, sensing that Vun was messing with him. “If you know of anything of my past.. I suggest that you tell it to me now,” he yelled out in anger frustration. He had been searching for years to know of his forgotten past and now, a stranger claimed he knew of it. He must know if this is the truth or not and put an end to his quest! As the two conversed, a mischievous idea came to Keiz. He needed something done and Akarui wanted something from him, well, mostly Vun. Why not use that to his advantage. Standing up, a smile appeared on his face as he walked to Luna’s wall, “Alright.. Let’s have everyone calm down.. Vun, you do know of his childhood, correct?” Looking to Vun, he nodded. “Excellent.. And Akarui, was it? You want to know of your childhood, correct?” Akarui stared at Keiz, wondering where he was going with this. Pulling his hood back on, he eased his figure, “Where are you going with this?” “Ah.. A very good question. I need something done for me. Do this favor for me and I will have Vun tell you anything you wish to know of. Sound like a deal?” Keiz smiled to Akarui, holding back the maliciousness smile he so desperately wanted to reveal. Akarui glared at Keiz from under his hood, considering this deal. As Akarui contemplated, Luna let out a small sigh, dispersing the teleportation spell. Walking over to the wall she created, she knocked on it softly. For a moment, nothing happened. After a few seconds, without warning, a small crack appeared where Luna had knocked. It quickly expanded throughout the wall before it shattered, the pieces dissolving into the air. Looking to Keiz, Luna asked, “Since it seems you have things under control.. May I take the rest of the night off?” Keiz looked to Luna and nodded before he quickly returned his attention to Akarui. Akarui snapped his fingers, his own wall dissipating just as Luna turned around and started walking, aiming to leave the castle. Returning his attention back to Keiz, Akarui asked, “What is it that you want me to do?” “Excellent.. This is what I need you to do..” ------------- Meanwhile, within the capitol city ------------- A few blocks into the city, towards the east, Luna stood outside of a tavern. Looking up, she noticed how the moon still had a few hours of shine time before the sun took its place in the sky. Waving her hand dismissively at that thought, she stepped into the tavern. Picking out a darkened corner, Luna sat down and watched her fellow booze consumers as she rose her right hand, “Hey, barkeep! Glass of wine, please.” Two glasses of wine, 3 failed suitors and an hour later, Lunar watched as a peculiar man stepped into the tavern. Looking around for a moment, he spotted what he searched for and took a seat a booth that was two tables away. Signaling for a glass of water, the man began to talk to hooded person he sat across from, “So how are the plants coming along? Are they grow up healthy and strong?” The hooded figure nodded. “Excellent.. I see you haven’t finished up your glass of blood. Finish it and we can continue our business in our room.” The hooded figure waved off what remained before standing up. He couldn’t drink another drop. “So be it then..” Standing up, the man picked up his glass of water and walked off to another part of the tavern. Letting out a small hiccup, Luna wondered out loud, “Why… Why are they drink blood?” Standing up a little woozily, Luna followed the pair into the inn part of the tavern. Stumbling a little bit, Luna caught up with the two. “Hey.. Hey you guys.. How’s the.. blood,” Luna asked with a slur in her words. It didn’t take much to get her drunk. Taking a step forward, Luna lost her footing and tripped. Landing on the ground with a thud, Luna, burst out into laughter before becoming silent. The pair looked to each other for a moment before looking back down to the female, a little concerned. Shrugging, the man picked up Luna and carried her to his room. Laying her on the bed, he closed the door that lead to the bedroom and sat down in the living room. Signaling for his friend to join him, they continued their talk from earlier. “How are the supplies? Not running low on anything, are we,” the man asked. The hooded figure shook his head, uncomfortable about Luna sleeping in the other room, “Are you sure its safe to talk with her there, Ferod?” “It’ll be fine. We’ve nothing to worry about.. We’re just talking about a garden, nothing more. Is there anything I need to pick up for it? I’ll be stopping by soon to check on its progress myself..” The hooded figure shook his head once more. “Excellent! Now run off to home and get some well deserved sleep. I’ll see you again sometime soon.” Nodding, the hooded figure left the room. Getting comfortable in his chair, Ferod couldn’t help but smile as he fell asleep. ------------- The next morning ------------- Luna slowly stirred, being awaken by the sun’s rays. Sitting up, she rubbed her eyes and looked around. Jumping a little out of surprise, Luna quickly climbed out of bed and swung the door open. On a chair not too far, Ferod still slept. Luna was about to stomp her way over to Ferod and slap him, thinking he took advantage over her, when she realized something. He wasn’t asleep in bed with her, her undergarments (or clothes for that matter) were still on and she wasn’t sore. Studying the sleeping Ferod for a moment, she debated on whether or not to wait till he woke up to say thanks. Shaking her head a little, she decided to leave some money on the table in front of him to help pay for the room before she left the room, heading straight for the castle. After a few minutes of walking, Luna had reached the small stairs that lead up to the main doorway that lead to the throne room. Looking up, she was shocked to see that the doors were already repaired from last night. “Either the repairs were simple or they worked really fast,” she mumbled before working her way up the stairs. Just as she was about to take the last step up the stairs, the doors swung open, revealing Keiz to have a half angry, half not-here look. “Ah.. I see you aren’t sleeping in the garden,” he said almost absently. “Sorry sir. So.. How’d things go with that dragon hybrid,” Luna inquired, wanting to change the subject. “It went well.. Got him to finish the job you couldn’t,” Keiz said with a slight snarl before motioning her to follow him back into the castle. Studying her face as he closed the doors, he ordered, “Go get some proper rest and a bath.. You look horrid.” Nodding, Luna took off into the castle as Keiz began to walk back to the throne. Not even five steps later, there was a knock on the door, “For the love of- WHO IS IT NOW?!” Stomping back to the door, he swung it open to see a tall, lean woman with alluring green eyes. It looked as if she had a rifle of some type strapped to her back, but it mostly covered by her long blonde hair. “Well, well, who do we have here,” Keiz said with a carnal smile. Before the woman could reply, a muscular, tanned man walked briskly up the stairs. His buzz-cut hair and eyes were black as he had a serpent-like birthmark on his left arm. “Lord Keiz,” he said slowly in a deep voice. Snapping to the man, Keiz replied, “If you have business, wait in the meeting room! Can’t you see I have a guest?” Nodding the man simply walked in and disappeared into the rest of the castle. Turning his attention back to the woman, he smiled to her as he gestured her into the throne room. “Now where were we? Oh! That’s right.. I was asking the name for such a splendid, well-endowed woman such as yourself,” he almost hummed out as his eyes traveled along side the woman’s curves. Letting out one of the sweetest chuckles Keiz ever heard, she said, “My.. What a gentleman. My name is Countess Noah Lyman and may I know the name of the man trying to woo my over?” Lifting up her right hand and kissing it softly, Keiz responded, “I am Lord Keiz, ruler of this Kingdom. You can just call me Keiz. And to what do I owe the pleasure of the beautiful Countess’ visit?” “You see.. I was visiting Combine last night when I stumbled upon a murder scene. One of your assailants did a sloppy job of killing someone’s mother, wasted a bunch of perfectly good blood. Now if I heard right, this woman happened to be the mother of Prince Alliaster,” Noah said nonchalantly until she put emphasis on the word prince. The smile that was on Keiz’s face slowly disappeared into a frown as he let her hand softly slip from his own. “I see.. Countess, I won’t be able to let you leave here alive with that information unless you agree to become one of my assassins. Now lets see, what deal can we make that’ll make both of us happy?” He paused for a moment, trying to think of a deal that would benefit the both of them best. Chuckling, two ideas came to him. Tossing one to the side for later on, he spoke up, “Why cry over spilt milk, or blood in this case, when I could offer you so much more than one person’s blood? If you become my assassin, I can offer you a blood feast! You’ll never grow thirsty again. But if you don’t wish to become an assassin, I know of something else you might enjoy,” Keiz finished off with a wink. The Countess closed her eyes, pondering the offer. After a few moments, she opened her eyes and gave her answer, “I’ll join on one condition.. That you paint a portrait of my body, where you look past my physic and focus on the true beauty of my body.” Smiling, Keiz responded, “That shouldn’t be a problem.. Except for one.. I’m not the artistic type. I’ll have a painter do it as I watch. Fair enough?” With the Countess giving him a nod, he snapped his fingers. A moment later, a servant appeared and awaited orders, “Take the Countess to my room and order for an artist to arrive. Tend to her every need as well.” Turning his attention back to the Countess, he took her right hand and kissed it once more, “I’ll be with you in a moment, I have another assassin of mine waiting to speak with me.” As the servant took Countess Noah one way, Keiz went another. Walking past a few doors, Keiz stepped in. Within the room, the male from earlier sat the long table where Keiz, his generals and a few others would meet to discuss strategies. “Tell me, Sinn, has your departure been as fruitful as Vun’s?” Standing up, Sinn spoke, “My liege.. I bring you a present. I found it in the Brakk Forest. Thought you would like it.” Pulling out an orb full of mist and the star sky from his cloak, Sinn handed it to Keiz. Taking the orb, Keiz looked at if with fascination, “What is it?” “It’s a scrying orb. Use it to see whatever you wish. May I go see my family now,” Sinn asked, getting straight to the point. “A scrying orb? Well then, job well done. And yes, you may visit your family,” Keiz said with a dismissive wave before walking out of the room. As he traveled to his room, he stared into the orb. Within, the mist and stars began to stir as an image began to form. Just as the image was about to take shape, he opened the door to his room and stepped in. Suddenly remembering he had Noah in his room, he walked to his dresser and set the orb down. Looking up, he noticed how the Countess stood before the mirror that was in his room. “Y'know, it's not easy when you don't have you're own reflection to rely on. For all these years, I've always had to rely on the judgments of others. I just... couldn't ever summon the courage to see things for myself until now,” Noah spoke up suddenly as she walked to the bed. As she began to take off her dress, she stopped it just above her nipples. “You’re.. You’re not going to judge me negatively, are you,” Noah hesitantly asked. Chuckling, Keiz comforted her, “Ms. Layman, I don’t judge by looks. I judge by skill. How I treat people, however, is a different story. Now please, don’t be shy.” Going to his door, he signaled for the artist to come in. Walking to the lounging chair within his room, he sat down and got comfy. “I can assure you, Ms. Layman, there is nothing about your body that with upset me. If anything, I might not be able to resist you any longer,” he said with a wink as the artist waited for Noah to pose before starting the painting.
”Alright.. Don’t blame me if you don’t like what you see,” The Countess said before she let her dress slip off of her. At first glance, there wasn’t anything out of the ordinary to be concerned about. She had toned muscles and was well-endowed. It was in the lower region that would make most people do a double take. Not only did she have the feminine parts, she also had the male components as well.

This is a fanfic based off of the original RP I created some time ago. I am hoping to release new chapters once a week. If not, it should definately be at least once every other week, but I don't think that'll happen. I want to see both types of comments, not just negative comments. Especially from the people who where originally in this RP about how well of a job I'm portraying their characters. That way, I can continue to do the good things I'm doing in the following chapters and know what things need to be changed in the future. Below is the current map of the word and the original Character Archive from the RP. Due to the lack of content to work with from the RP, not ever character will be used and I would like to apologize to those who's character won't be used.

Age: 21 Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Race: Demon Side: Good
Alliaster mostly keeps to himself, following the policy of "speak softly and carry a big stick." Though, in his case, it's a fist. Alliaster isn't a fan of weapons, thinking that they can give a person an unfair advantage in a fight. "Fight's should be fought in fisticuffs, where the only variable is your skill... Not weapons..." is what he normally says when people make remarks about him bringing nothing to a gun fight. Alliaster likes to change his persona to match the situation, allowing him to manipulate the situation if called for. Alliaster is also a quick learner, which explains why he took to alchemy quickly at such a young age...

Alliaster was born as a b*stard child. This means he was born from an unmarried couple. He knows nothing about his father, nor does he really want to. He figures that if the father won't put out effort into being with him and his mother, he won't put out the effort into getting to know him via secondhand. Because Alliaster was born as a b*stard child, he was picked on a lot and bullied. This is what lead to him to being a quiet person and a good fighter. He's made a small handful of friends, mostly people who are outside of the demon race because they're the people that don't really care about if you're an orphan, a regular child, a b*stard child, etc.

Primary: Fisticuffs Secondary (optional): Temporary gauntlets/gloves he creates via alchemy. Misc (optional): Various items he creates via alchemy when they're needed.

Alchemy and some magic. Alliaster's magic surrounds energy, allowing him to perform spells like force push, force shield, etc.

Age: 263 Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Race: Demon Side: Bad
The best way to describe Keiz: power hungry. Ever since his childhood, he's craved the power to manipulate and control people, doing what needs to be done in order to get that power. He would bully, bride, harass, etc to whoever he needed to in order to show people he's top of the dog house. Even though he's reached the pinnacle of power, as most people see it, Keiz craves even more power than what he already has with the Demon Kingdom. Keiz can have his charming moments. Though, he only has them when he's trying to seduce woman or thinks he can benefit more from someone by being charming, rather than a tyrant.

Demon's have a long lifespan. It's almost 10x longer than a normal humans with their bodies fully maturing by the age of 30, the latest. Keiz fully developed when he was 17, allowing him to quickly become the "alpha dog" of the area. Despite his strength and speed, many demons challenged him for dominance. It was during of these fights, when he was 168, that the King watched the fight. Keiz was greatly outmatched in a 3 on 1 fight with stronger demons, but he was still able to become victor. Granted, it did take a few hours to do so. The King was impressed with Keiz and made him the leader of a platoon. He quickly climbed the ranks, becoming the King's right hand man at the age of 215. Despite being the second highest authority within the military, it wasn't enough for Keiz and he eventually craved for the crown....

Primary: Twin sickles. Secondary (optional): A 7' by 3' scythe he uses primarily for mid. range combat.

Keiz has amazing speed, allowing him to disappear and quickly reappear somewhere else without using a teleport spell. Other than this, Keiz just has a natural talent for fighting.

Age: 26 Gender: Male Sexuality: Heterosexual Race: Revenant Side: Alliaster
Darius suffered from amnesia as a child and thus has developed a quiet nature that is often mistaken for aloofness and emotional detachment. In truth, however, Darius is a kind and compassionate man, though his amnesia has caused him to develop a tough outer persona. Though he remains somewhat aloof, Darius will become more sociable and friendly to his allies, often willing to shield them with his life. He also shows a soft spot for puppies and cute things. He is very trustworthy and trusting, willing to put others in front of his own safety.

Darius Romero knows little about his past. The day he can remember up to is when he was a living and breathing man, who had a beautiful lover and a life worth living. Upon discovering his corpse he found stab wounds, which made him believe he was murdered. This was confirmed when Darius's lover soon perished to the very same fate. Darius has been thought of as a menacing and feared spectre, yet many are deceived as he only seeks revenge on the assassin that took both his and his lover's life. Darius then later found this assassin and took control of him, causing him to kill himself but first he destroyed his life as he did to Darius. He killed the man's lover as he did to Darius and then Darius had the man hung. Since then Darius has been at peace, yet he did not ascend from the world. Why? When a ghost had fulfilled their duty they leave the world, so Darius's continued existence clearly meant he had another task at hand.Darius soon later discovered Alliaster and has since kept an eye on him, believing he could be the true reason behind Darius's continued existence.

Primary: Phantom's Blade - A sword Darius once wielded as a living and breathing man, it "died" and became this Soul Sword. Unlike any other weapon, this unique blade attacks the soul of the victim as well as their body. Misc: Spectral Powers - Darius can use limited spectral abilities, such as possession, confusion and others.

Deep Concentration: Darius can enter a state of severe and often unbreakable concentration. Super Spectre: Darius, unlike most ghosts, has the ability to possess a spiritual and corporeal form.

Age: 321 Gender: Female Sexuality: Demi-homo-romantic Grey-a pansexual. Race: Fairie Side: Good
Donna is self-confident and independent. She is intelligent, as well as being physically adept, more than the average being, and she is very much aware of it. Lacking humility, she is usually arrogant - at best she is rather cool to others, at worst outright offensive. She refuses to lie, but cannot be called honest - she considers having to use untruths beneath her, but will twist her words to give others a false impression. As part of a race in close harmony with nature, she tends to prefer rural areas, but has no great fondness for plants or wild creatures, and has no issue with cities and technology - at least not in principle.

Donna was born, and saw out her childhood, in a hidden settlement on the edge of the demon kingdom. When she was very little, the settlement and it's surrounding lands were made an independent state, not under the rule of the demon king. Despite this, the settlement maintained solid links with the kingdom, and it was through these links that Donna would enter the kingdom's courts. As part of a magical lineage, Donna was taught fey magic from a very young age, spending decades perfecting it before she ever left her birthplace. Once she had, however, she was sent to the demon kingdom as apprentice to the then ambassador in the demon king's court. Whilst there, she began to study other magics, as well as more about the world as a whole. As a result, well over a century ago, she set out to experience more of the world. Now, as Keiz dominates the kingdom as a tyrant, she has returned. A oppressed demon kingdom will be bad for her own people, but if the true heir can be moulded correctly...

Donna is slightly over 6 feet tall, and is very slender - most humans would be envious of her figure, but it is a common trait to her species. Her body seems almost delicate, but that appearance is deceptive, since body is tougher than it looks and small muscles give no indication of her true strength. Her limbs are long, and her extremities, as well as her ears, seems to appear sharp without being pointed. Her hair, a bronze colour reminicent of autumn leaves, is fairly long, and wavy, and she has deep green eyes. She usually wears robes, usually in various shades of green, although the colours vary depending on the time of year. It is secured by a clasp with a leaf design, and in addition to simple boots (without a distinct sole), she has a small pack, which usually blends in with her clothing and goes unnoticed. Finally, she has a hooded cloak, which varies in colour depending on her surroundings.

Primary: A staff, which serves as a conduit for magical powers. A piece of purple stone, with bands of various shades and intensities, sealed within a large cut diamond, is mounted at one end. Secondary: Donna also carries a bronze knife, mostly for general use, but can be used as a weapon if required.

Flight (innate magic), enhanced senses. Key spells: Starflash: Emits a light of variable intensity, which can be controlled by the caster. Fey Arrows: A number of arrows appear in mid-flight, aimed at the target. The number of arrows can be adjusted, depending on the size/number of target(s). Treewhisper: Allows the control of plants and, to a very limited degree, plant-based materials such as wood. The ease of control depends on the nature of the material. Gift of Fate: The target has increased luck. When fighting, they will land blows easier, and hit critical points more often. At other times, they may more easily avoid people, or win contests. The effects usually only last for a few minutes. Bird's Eye: Conjures magical birds, similar to a crow. A single bird can be used for spying or scouting, and the caster can seen what the bird sees. A larger group can be used to mob enemies. Howling Winds: Forms a wall of strong wind around the caster. Other people and objects can also be surrounded by the winds. Regeneration: Allows the healing of others. The energy required from the caster increases exponentially in proportion to the severity of the injury - scratches are no issue, but healing serious injuries can be fatal. Harms the Undead. Stonewash: Makes rock and stone structures fluid. Once the caster ceases to concentrate, the stone will re-solidify in 5-10 minutes. If cast incorrectly, the stone can be detonated, however this explosion is uncontrollable. Orion's Thunder: A electrical attack. A small arc forms between the caster and target, however the main blast comes from above. This can also disable electronic equipment.
The spell list is liable to change at some point, as this isn't all the magic she will know, just what she uses most often.

Age: 18 Gender: M Sexuality: Straight Race: Human-Dragon hybrid Side: Neutral
Akarui is what would be expected of a human-dragon hybrid, he acts as human while unprovoked, but his aggressiveness is far beyond that of a normal human when he is. Though at times, his dragon half takes control, slaying all those nearby in a frenzy of destruction. Though that rarely happens unless his willpower is faltered. His human half is one to avoid conflict unless highly necessary, and is also one not to take any crap from anyone, also preferring to leave everything and everyone alone until he's reached his destination; the kingdom.

Akarui has traveled from a far-off kingdom. His childhood is all a blur, and he intends to find out more about it. All he knows of it is his birthday, he achieved his master swordplay during it and that he served directly under the king from said far-off kingdom. He assumes that it has to do with him being half dragon, but the whole mess the Demon Kingdom is in has stopped him. He has recently realized that he could use this to his advantage in finding out more to his childhood, he could become king and somehow link every kingdom in Thrae, knowing one of them must know of his childhood. With those thoughts in mind, he continues.

Akarui's eyes, instead of normal eyes, are those of a dragon, slits. That is the only noticable difference between him and other humans until his diamond-hard skin is touched. Though when his dragon half takes control, his skin changes form and becomes covered in scales and his eyes becomes normal human sky-blue eyes. He prefers to keep everyone else in idiocy by wearing a white cloak in which the white hood covers his eyes, so none may see his eyes but he may see everyone else.

Primary: A skinny longsword with a sketch of a dragon on it written in blood Secondary: A retractable blade hidden in a piece of armor on his left forearm Misc: A bow and quiver with 50 arrows strapped to his back

Non-magic: 1) Increased hearing: Akarui can hear up to 6x the amount normal humans can, this also being a vital weakness in stunning him 2) Increased sense of sight: Akarui can see 2x as far and 2x the detail of normal humans 3) Increased strength: Akarui has 3x the strength of the average human bodybuilder (lol) (this includes leg strength for increased height/distance in jumps) 4) Akarui's skin is hard as diamonds, although it bends/expands such as normal flesh (does not mean unbreakable) Hybrid-Magic: (meaning magic in his dragon half) 1) Control over fire: Akarui can create fire in either of his hands or take a already blazing fire nearby, or he can shoot a powerful stream of fire from his mouth for a less-accurate more powerful attack 2) Transformation: Akarui can transform into a dragon measuring at 40ft tall at 20ft wide, the added and removed abilities are: a) Akarui can only shoot fire from his mouth, but with 3x the strength b ) Akarui's skin becomes less hard, but still hard to break c) Akarui is given the ability to fly d) Akarui's speed, strength, eyesight and hearing are further increased e) Akarui's bulk disallows him to see enemies who have gotten underneath his stomach/belly f) Akarui's weak point is the less-armored by scales part of his body, the stomach/belly 3) Creation: Drawing blood from a wound, Akarui can create a baby dragon, but this would require Akarui to drain all his blood from his veins, resulting in his death soon after the new dragon is born. The only way to save him is to refill his veins with blood, if it is not Dragon blood, he will become a normal human. But if he wishes, he may become this new dragon, a form of rebirth, it seems.

He also carries a book of dragons with him, it also has spells written within which he dares not to use. It is written in a text that only dragons and dragon-human hybrids can understand.

Age: 22 Gender: Female Sexuality: Straight Race: Demon Side: Bad
Luna has a very black-and-white personality; At some times she may be calm and collected, but at others she can be explosively volatile. She is also very forgetful; She could get into a heated argument with one of her fellow assassins, but at a later date she wouldn't recall anything about the scuffle. At many times she may even begin to contradict herself, earning the nickname "Luna the Lunatic", to which she does not take kindly to. When not provoked, she can be a very nice person- but don't expect her to put on that smile until she's off the job. She takes her assignments seriously, and won't let anything get in the way of her finishing them.

Luna was born into the prestigious Solen clan, an upper class "family". Their front is that they institute philanthropy by donating money to charitable causes, but in reality they are a group of nothing more than liars, cheats, and cutthroats. Giving their firstborn child to the Kings military was a tradition in the family- Luna just happened to be given to the Kings army before Keiz seized power. Luna was a prodigy when it came to fighting, particularly using magic- she would easily be able to take on people who were more than double her size with ease by the time she was 10. At age 15 she would be the youngest person to be given the prestigious position of Hand.(Another word for assassin, maybe?) As Luna grew older, though, her urging to fight began to decrease- At 18, she resigned from the military to give herself time to think. Her hiatus did not last long though- after 2 years of hiatus, she was called back to the military under direct order of the king- She would be given the position as his bodyguard, and by his side would be where you'd fine her today.

I'm too lazy to write something for this- I guess that's not a good sign.

Primary: She primarily fights with her hands amplified by an extreme amount of magical force. Secondary (optional): She has a large, bulky cannon that hovers around her at all times- though it is not generally noticed, because it is not visible at most times, and people can walk right through it without noticing it is there. At her command it can instantly materialize, and she wields it with deadly proficiency. It absorbs magical energy from her body and amplifies it to very, very high levels - though firing it even once can tire Luna out. Misc (optional): She can form copies of small objects, like daggers, by concentrating magic over the original object and solidifying that magic. This skill is very difficult, and even with her proficiency in magic she cannot copy complex items.

She can manipulate magic to such an extent that she can utilize it in many ways, both impractical and practical: Shielding - She can shield herself from an attack, but if the attack is of magical origin, this shield is next to useless. Voice Amplification - She can manipulate the air around her to better carry her voice, and as such will amplify it. Compression - She can compress the magical energy surrounding her into a small ball about the size of a marble, and fire it at near mach speed. The ball gains magical energy as it passes through the air, and rapidly increases in size until it hits something - which has devastating results. This type of magic requires a lot of concentration and stamina, but it can disastrous for anyone caught in the way of it.

Her blood is acidic due to the concentration of magic flowing through it.

Age: 1074 Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual Race: Shade Side: Technically Neutral, but will join Alliaster later.
Siki is ruthless and apathetic in battle, showing no mercy against her opponents and will fight in any way. She doesn't have a sense of honor in fights, not fighting fairly sometimes. It's not about fighting for the honor to her, but fighting to keep herself and whoever she is protecting alive. Outside of battle she is kind to those around her, always lending a helping hand wherever possible. She takes it upon herself to help those in need, and protect those who need it.

Siki has been wandering the world of Thrae for a long time, helping those in need and protecting herself from the odd bandit or two. She participated in some of the old wars, but she has forgotten them over the years, not being able to die so easily. Few weapons could touch her, and the few that could she avoided usually (Basically, elemental based weapons or spells can hurt her). She knew that she would meet her fate eventually but she would do whatever she could to continue living as she went on. She currently is travelling within the Demon Kingdom, hearing about how the King rules with an iron fist. She doesn't plan to take him on or anything but just help relieve the stress of the people a bit for the while that she is there. She abhors the fighting though, usually trying to make any fights she gets stuck in end quickly.

yeah, I reused it from ~N~'s rp...it's an awesome picture though xD

Primary: Shadow Blade (She creates a blade from her body itself, using it to fight with) Secondary (optional): N/A Misc (optional): N/A

Since Siki is a Shade she can do quite a few things.

She can dissolve into the shadows, thus vanishing from sight. She still has a form that can be hurt, and she can be found easily if someone uses a light source to get rid of all of the natural shadows.
She can use the shadows to hold down someone, thought she can only restrain them, not kill them or hurt them directly.
She can summon simple weapons out of the shadows, using them to fight with.
She can use the shadows to protect herself, creating a barrier in front of her. The barrier is weaker the bigger it is, or the farther away it is.
She can make herself become non-corporeal, due to her natural form of just a shadow creature.
She can spy using the shadows because they "speak" to her usually.

Siki isn't looking for a relationship at the moment, afraid of commitment. Vun will often not care about anything or anyone, feelings don't compute to him. He will often belittle people and will almost never lose that cocky grin of his , unlesof course soemthig happens that catches him off guard. He always gives his opinions and considers them facts and adds a ring sounding of politeness when he talks, however it is merely his contempt for others.

Vun grew up in a church in a small religious town. From the age of 8 he was brought into the church, his father was the head priest of the church and his mother died giving birth to him. From an early age Vun grew up isoolated, he seemed to prefer to hang around on his own, he constantly claimed to hear voices in his head, evil voices that told him of horrible things. It was due to his isolation that his father merely considered him talking to an imaginary friend, which at the age of 8 wasn't something to get to concerned about. When Vun turned 10 he was still always by himself, there seemed to be an eerie presence about him, he always appeared depressed and other children's parents didn't want their kids playing with him. Vun was overcome with loneliness and sadness when he started hearing the voices again, the voices were still telling him horrible things like murder, unable to cope with the voices any longer Vun approached his father and the 7 other priests at the church. His father once analyzing the information of the voices he'd been hearing considered that he was possessed and that maybe they should perform an exorcism. When the 8 gathered around Vun the demon was shown to flee once they had started chanting. A few months later although the voices had gone away, all the kids still did not like him, all the parents still did not trust him. His father seemed to also isolate himself from Vun often not seeing him for a few days consecutivly. The priests of the church didn't like the existance of Vun as he was the embodiment for a demon. On a cold rainy night Vun was crying in the corner of the church for a few reasons, he had no friends, he had felt distached from his father and he had no mother, he then started hearing the voices again. "See...no one will accept you...accept me....and I will accept you..." Spoke the sinister voice, truth is the demon never really left, but stayed dorm in Vun's heart. Vun still denied it even when he was at his thought to be his lowest point. It was right then that his father walked into the church and began praying at the alter, Vun tried to approach him but was scolded at by his father, who had hid the fact that he blamed Vun for his wife's death and truly hated him. after this almost at the exact same time a storm arose, it was after his father's hate speech that Vun's will power dropped allowing The demon known as Kyroo to possess his heart. A long black claw like hand sprung from Vun's back and lifted his father off the ground by the neck choking him to death, at this point the other preists of the church came in and were also slaughtered, this night was annually mourned as Eclipsed Night. Vun fleed the town after the tragedy and was thought to have dissapeared.

Primary: A Golden cane that he walks around with that has an upside down cross on the top. When Kyroo is released he gain the folowing abilities

Shinigami eyes: He can see people's greatest fears and create illusions of them
Kyroo's Right arm: The long arm of the inner demon appears from Vun's back and rises over Vun's head. The arm can stretch and reach up to 10 metres.
Kyroo's Malice Scythe: The long arm holds a large black scythe over Vun's head.
Illusionist: Vun can create whatever atmospher in the room he likes, foggy, pitch black or whatever, he ca illusionallize scenes from an individual's mind and bring them to life, however they cannot physically harm anyone, this act is aimed at paralyzing the individual in fear.
Kyroo's Tome: This is an ability he can use while he is and isn't in his inner demon form. Side: Unknown
Ferod is very cautious, but can get irritable when angered. He absolutely despises sitting around doing nothing, but it perfectly fine with waiting. So long as the waiting ends with him doing something. He also has a hate for people who reap the benefits of other people's actions for their own personal gain. However, Ferod tends to be a hypocrite at times when trying to accomplish the "greater good". He is aware of this, but disregards it nonetheless.

When God first decided to send Angels down to Thrae to watch over mankind oh so many years ago, Ferod was originally part of the group. But at the last minute, God decided to have Ferod take on a different position within Heaven. He reluctantly agreed. Eventually, the Angels God sent vanished and mankind began to deteriorate. Ferod quickly went to God and asked him to aid mankind, to lead them off the path of destruction. God refused. He claimed that if mankind wished to forget him and destroy themselves, then so be it. Eventually, mankind became a scarce race, and other races came forward to become dominant giving the world it's divers races seen today. Soon after, Ferod saw signs that these new races were heading down the same path as mankind did. Once again, Ferod wen to God. This time, God claimed these new races knew nothing of him, therefore he had no reasons to aid them. This, combined with the first refusal, infuriated Ferod more than anything. He began pointing out to God all of his flaws and why mankind forgot him in the first place. The continued insults angered God and caused him to banish Ferod from Heaven. Just before Ferod was cast down to Thrae, he threw one final curse at God. He told him that he would make the world a better place...then he would bring him and Heaven down. A few months after wondering around on Thrae doing what little help he could, Ferod ran into the last person he expected to see before him. Death. Death sympathized with Ferod. He too was disappointed in the downfall of mankind because of God's laziness. That, and his realm only contained the souls of deceased humans that neither went to Heaven or Hell. As mankind slowly vanished, so did his realm. Soon, the egotistic God would be able to take over. Death would not allow that. And so, he and Ferod teamed up. They made plans of their own. First, they would aid all the races in existence along with bringing mankind back and making a better world. Then, from there, they would take over Heaven. To help with this, Death taught Ferod everything he knew and sent him back to Thrae, to do what he could. She will never take advantage of an enemy that can't fight back, unless she was the one that made it that way. Stornia rarely ever speaks, usually only when she needs to, or after she is given an order. One of the few times when she speaks on her own accord, without needing to, is when she tries to warn enemies not to get in her way, and to taunt enemies that have nearly fell from her blade.

Stornia, before she died, was a valiant warrior, back in the age before most modern technology, and therefor, when she died, was brought to Valhalla as Valkyrie. In Valhalla, she spent her days dueling, becoming an even better warrior, enjoying the fighting, and having a feeling that, one day, she may actually have to use her skills again. Many years later, around the present time, she knew it was time, and after appealing to the gods, was granted temporary life, and went back down to Thrae, still as a Valkyrie, and waited for the time when she would be needed for whatever was about to happen. He had learned that to listen and learn is better than to speak. Unless he actually has something to say, he says nothing. He doesnt agree, he doesnt disagree, he brings up his own unique points in a conversation and says it in the least amount of words possible. I said above that he doesnt agree. This is a big point. He prefers "No" and words like "Possibly" and "maybe" instead of a straight out "yes". The complete opposite of a ladies man, he prefers to keep anything romantic out of his life as he belives as long as he keeps anyone besides his liege, and his family, out of his life he will be more powerful than the Demon he created his Pact with so he can destroy it.

Sinn was born in a town where it was dog-eat-dog, kill or be killed, rob or be robbed. Sinn exelled at the art of Assassination, which his parents also specialized in. His sister was a master thief. His brother was a general thug, arrested more than 5 times. While his sister made most of the money, he became a contract killer in the Demon City sending half his earnings to his parents. Soon after he moved to the Demon City, sickness hit his hometown, Yran. His mother, Alice, escaped without harm but his father and brother died. Nothing was heard of his sister. Sinn and Alice found Keiz and, desperate to find their lost one, began to work for him. Eventually, on a mission far from the Demon City, Sinn found his sister. Or, part of her. Her arm, with the birthmark of a saber, was found in a cave, along with bones. But a trail of blood said that she escaped. He followed the trail and found her, weak and dying. His sister, whose name is Wisteria, had an infected wound. Sinn finished his job quickly and headed back to the Demon City, to find the King had died. He struck a deal with Keiz to help him keep the throne if Keiz helped Wisteria. Keiz did all he could, but nearly failed. Sinn struck a pact with a demon to give him dark powers. He healed Wisterias arm completely, but at the cost of his sanity. After a few months of help, he was back. But he knows the demon isnt done yet. It will cause trouble at the least convinient moment, he knows....for it whispers dark secrets in the back of his head, torturing him.............

Face: Sinn has a scar on his face that cuts diagonally across his whole face. His eyes are nearly black, they are so dark, with barely any whites. Hair: Black hair, buzz cut. Physique: Slightly on the large side for an Assassin, Sinn is quite muscular and has great strength, although most of it is from his Pact. Clothing: Sinn wears a black hooded cloak, with black leather armor with a white design on the back. He wears dark red gloves and boots, and has a black belt with a silver belt buckle with a demonic design. Marks: Like his sister, Sinn has a birthmark on his left arm. It is the shape of a serpent.

Primary: Two Obsidian Scimitars that are all he has left of his father. Secondary: A steel short sword. Tertiary: Shruikans made of an odd metal. A present from his sister. Fourth: He wears a sash that has 3 Obsidian Daggers in it from his mother. He also keeps his money there.

As a result of his Pact, he has extraordinary healing powers. But anything beyond broken bones and severely bleeding wounds costs him a shard of sanity. He doesnt know yet, but when he is in the shadows, he can cast demonic spells.......for a cost... Silent Blade When used, allows Sinn to throw/attack with one of his daggers, without a sound. Demon Scales Conjures up a wall of scales. Doesnt last long. Shadowport When used, for 24 hours Sinn can walk into one shadow to appear in another one within 100 feet. Black Soul Rope Fires a rope out of Sinns hand. It wraps around the target, binding them. Only useful against Undead/Ghosts. Disguise Allows Sinn to change his facial features slightly. If she tries to drink anything else, it'll only come back within seconds. At this stage, Noah will drop the flirtation and adopt a more desperate approach.

Various mutations in Countess Noah's body have seemed to greatly weaken the genetic flaws in the stereotypical vampire. Because of this, she isn't going to be warded away from a particular place any time soon. For example, placing a mirror in front of a door doesn't even work against her, and she won't be fooled by the mustard-seeds-on-roof trick. Crufixices are better off being thrown at her as well, especially if they're sharp around the edges. Luckily for those who're desperate in keeping her away, she still suffers light-triggered migraines. She's also allergic to wild roses, garlic and hawthorn plants, and is actually capable of suffering hypothermia when holy water is splashed on her. However, the absolute second best way to save yourself from her wrath is to get your ass over to a consecrated ground... Bahamut - Envoy of the End
Intriguing. First impressions are that this is... um... ah... I'm struggling actually to write down my first impressions because they are quite mixed. Possibly because the chapter felt more like a prologue. Not neccessarily because of length although it was quickly rattled through, but there was a lot of scene setting and not much actually going on, other than meet and greets. As for what did happen, not sure why the two scenes were that way round, especially given what's going on at Allister's and I would naturally assume that chapter 2 is going to pick up from that point, but that's not that important There's a lot of description of people and places, but precious little more. Keiz is a fairly typical usurper of the throne, but from what I can gather your using other peoples creations so I won't complain about him and other characters. Looking at your profile I'm slightly amazed I'm having to say this but: When a new/different character starts speaking, start a new paragraph. Even if that means one sentence paragraphs. Also using anywho and anyways is just... inadvisable given the tone. By now this is all probably sounding very mean and harsh and that I didn't like it. I don't mean it to be. It is certainly not the usual standard of this forum (That is to say bluntly, its not 10 hasty scribbled lines of uninteresting godawfulness). It has potential to be interesting. It is eloquantly written despite the odd frustrating slip of offhandedness. It is quite decent. Sorry if I sound down on this because I am not. As I said I see this more as a prologue than a true Chapter 1, so will eagerly await more from you before I really fall either side of the fence. Please do continue. Elƒie
Thank you, Verz. I appreciate everything you've said and I would like to address some of them, not to defend my honor, but to clarify things. The reason for the order of events was to leave a cliff hanger but with enough left to allow people to imagine what has happened and wanting to read more. If I had went with the scene with Keiz first, I felt it would have took away some of the eagerness to continue reading. And yes, chapter two will begin where Alliaster was left off at. Assuming I have time, I hope to have Chapter 2 within a few days. Besides the slips of anywho and anyways, what other moments did you feel were offhanded? Edit: Alright.. I'm hating how the tab button doesn't work and how using five spaces to make up for the lack of tab isn't working either.. Anyone have a solution for that? Bahamut - Envoy of the End
No worries. Can understand that I guess. Dunno why but I actually only read that paragraph at the end anyway; think I got distracted and when I came back I just thought I'd stopped at 'The Day Before' and only realizied I'd missed a a paragraph at the end. That was the main thing that looked out of place. Keiz speech is a bit endowed with slang for an evil king, using 'c'mere' and stuff. Dunno why he would care about his servant/assassins hair, unless she is more. We will see I guess. Just doesn't seem a very big bad thing to do. But story is otherwise interesting and looking forward to Chapter 2.
Elƒie
Keiz just doesn't care about being prim and proper.. Which should be easy to tell since he enjoys fighting in the throne room. O_o As for the hair.. Not really sure why I put that in there.. I guess ya can say thats mostly me talking, but using Keiz so I don't break the fourth wall. xD

Elƒie
DK, I did if ya look. :/ it's just that since tab and extra spaces don't work, ya can't tell I put them in a new paragraph and I don't wanna do a line space to seperate them because it looks sloppy. The spacing I do to replace the tab button shows up inthe editor, but not in the forum. It annoys me it does that, I even commented on that earlier. Edit: I've done some more tinkering around with the dialog stuff, doig some more to them just doing a new line with them (cause without a close look, the looked they weren't on a new line).. I don't like how it looks and wish I could just do it like I normally would in MS Word or Wordpad.. But given with what I've got, I've done what I could. Hopefully this can now be laid to rest. Dwarven King
I like the format now. :3 Also, I'm curious as to how you're going to portray Ferod and whether or not you're going to build up the relationship that Ferod and [insert name here] (I think it was Luna...unsure) started in the RP. Elƒie
I can say 1 thing: I'm impressed. I'll say more if you can portray each character how they were in the RP, I'd like to see your skills on display then.
I promise to do my best, everyone. :3 Dworkin: If I follow too close to what's been posted in the rp, I'll feel like I'm copying and pasting.. It will also won't hold any plot surprise for the poeple who were originally a part of it.

Lunar Origins
Quite interested to see where you're going to go with this one. The chapter was a tad short, but I like it. Not-so-Radiant Arin
~~Going with Something Different: (The Writer Formerly Known as) Devil's Advocate's "Heartfelt" Review! How many years since I saw last your beautiful face? How many long, excruciating years has it been since I have held your serene touch? How many years has it been since I returned home to such a delightful place to see the same old people over and over again try to come up with some brand new Fan-Fiction idea, and then me shooting it down from the get-go? Actually, I'd like to point out, that it has only been a couple of months since I last did a review, so I take back what I said about those days and years and centuries and eons and whatnot. I'm not even so sure what an eon is at this point (I believe it is 1,000 millenia, though I'm not positive. I'm too lazy to go to Google right now). Anyways, I am back in familiar territory once again and have decided to stake out another story in hopes of kick-driving my writing attitude once again, and how do I do that? I select the very first story on the Fan-Fiction forum. This story that I have chosen is called Maigo Keishi (Lost Heir), and upon reading the description that it presented to me, the storyline was once part of some RP. Well, since I'm not an RP-er by any standards (although, I still have my moments of that "GOLFING RP!" Syndrome), this may be a bit more difficult to crack down on, seeming as RPers are supposed to be top-notch writers and extremely skilled at setting descriptions and creating characters. We shall see how the RP-Turned Fan-Fiction deals now, as we delve into Devil's Advocate's "Heartfelt Review". Here we go. EDIT: I was not made aware of this before, but at the end of the Fan-Fiction, there is an "archive" of all of the characters used during the RP as well as a world map, both of which are unnecessary. We don't need a constant reminder to know where we are, and relying on an external source(s) in order to bolster/strengthen the presence of your Fan-Fiction is not a good idea. The less, the better (however, there are exceptions, like YGO cards (this is to avoid contradictions)). _______________________________________________________________________________________________ It was a dull, dreary day in a small town called Combine. Combine resided only a mile or so away from the Demon Kingdom boundries. A faint, slow dripping sound was barely audible from his position. . . And the plot thickens.... ------------- The Day Before ------------- Why the unnecessary time-skip? And why is Google Chrome being retardedly complicated right now? GAHHH....EGHGHHGHE........HELP ME!!! I'M SUFFOCATING OVER HERE!!!!! If I die.....tell my wife.............the Exposition Rainbow.........**long drawn-out breath** I LOVE HER!! Tell her....to spam this page.....if necessary....
