Raine
Sometime long after the Final War, a great conflict that caused the collapse of humanity mid 21st century, humanity began to rebuild, scrounging together in tight-knit groups. Thus began the cycle of civilization anew: families grew into communities, communities into towns, towns into alliances, alliances into countries. The most powerful of the countries were centered in North America, which was the shining podium of technology pre-war. From these countries, though, one rose to the top. Built on the ruins of a long-forgotten city, the empirical Dominion established itself as the dominating force that would change the world. Its secret weapon? The Sentinel. Sentinels, as one could describe, are powerful war machines. They served as the sword and shield of the Dominion along with their owners; The Harmonizers. Only they could pilot and Synchronize with the mysterious Core of the Sentinels, unlike other humans. Most Harmonizers took high places in the government, using their own powers as a sort of bargaining tool. With their new weapons of mass destruction, the Dominion began to slaughter everything that stood in their way. It wasn't long until others found their own Harmonizers and Sentinels. The continent is on the verge of complete domination by Dominion, who holds more than half of the land making it up. They're poised to assault the remaining nations with their superior Sentinel models and veteran pilots. However, the elusive Northern Wastes continue to slip through their fingers and fight with iron hearts and knowledge of their snowbound homeland. They hold the last key to their northward domination of North America: The Synchite mines. This is where our story begins... ----- Current Plot: Chapter 1 - "Aurora Skys" Hovering ominously over the frozen Hudson bay, the old-world skyship Yose stands guard, preparing for the infamous Dominion war machine. Dominion has its sights set on the northern capital, known to many as Valhalla. Will you fight with the Dominion, who have the skill, the supplies, and the manpower, in order to unite the world under the rule of the banner of the Emperor? Or will you take arms with the free warrior scoiety of the Northern Alliance, who stand side-by-side with the elite Sentinel group known as the Vikings? No matter what you choose, one thing will be inevitable. The snow will soon run red.
Rules and other ambiguous items

The word of Raine and I (Lunæ) is final. This is further enforced by Rule 1.
There is a maximum of 2 primary characters per player.
Your character can and probably will die at some point during the roleplay. Should this happen, you can apply for a new character. Again, though, 2 primary characters at a time
The Advanced Clause for this Roleplay is 5 lines instead of 4. If you are playing two characters, this stacks, meaning that you would have to type 10 lines total instead of 5 (This is null and void if only 1 of your characters appears in a post).
This Roleplay is PG-16.
NPC Characters are controlled by the Game Masters.
You can join 1 of two factions: Dominion and the Californian Rebel Faction.
If you've read these rules, go ahead and apply.

Factions

Dominion: Rising up from small roots to the greatest force in North America has created a strong national unity. The Dominion focus on unity above all us, when conquering territory survivors are taken in with full citizenry. Raising its hammer of equality and justice in the land, it sacrifices some the freedom wastelanders have come to live by. However, the pursuit of security and prosperity over that absolute freedom seems a noble price. The Dominion's conquest has finally moved to quell a long standing rebel nation, to once again move it to become one with its ever growing diverse and populous domain. As the cannons of Aires Grace aim down at those who would oppose the Emperor and the Dominion as a whole, the sparks are set... and the great-sword of the nation, the Sentinels stand braced to serve their part in uniting the world under equality and peace.
Northern Alliance: The Northerners, born and raised in the harsh winters they have no room for weakness afforded by the prosperious societies of the South. For the nearly a century they have defended their homeland with unmatched vigilence and unity. The government of the North is one of respect, a meritocracy. Each offical and general having earned their place through battlefield merits and commemorations under the strict supervision of the Alliance's ruling body, The Assembly. In the rich history of warrior traditions, the stand fast once again as their greatest foe comes, leaving a trail of destruction in it's wake. The cannon of Yose ready, the sheathed blades set, the hearts of warriors... go.

Quick things you may need to know about Harmonizers and that lot

Harmonizers: Harmonizers are select humans who have attained (through unknown means) the ability to manipulate matter at a very small level. They do this subconsciously, and as such usually have little to no control over the power. However, when this ability is put into synchronization with a Sentinel and its core, this power is vastly increased and it becomes tame. Though all Harmonizers share the basic trait of manipulating matter and energy, the way an individual does this is very different than how another person does it. One might be able to control, create, and manipulate steel, while another could create fire on a whim. It all boils down to the individual.
Sentinels: A Sentinel is what one could call a mecha; A machine that one controls from the inside. It might even be better described as a sort of suit; they are about 8 feet tall and are humanoid in shape, and are very smooth in appearance. Small wings jut out of the back of them on some models, whereas others have missile pods or guns attached to the back. The Harmonizer (Someone who could use a Sentinel; Ordinary humans lack the ability to activate them) is 'seated' in the podlike torso of the Sentinel. Once inside, they're put into a sort of Vertical Space; An infinite plane of emptiness. While they are in that space, their body movements are mimicked by the Sentinel and the Sentinel's eyes are their eyes. The Harmonizer's body still resides in the Sentinel's core, but their mind resides in the Vertical Space. When Synchronized, a Sentinel (at the basic level) will greatly amplify the latent abilities of its Harmonizer- At the greatest the powers will be amplified ten-thousand fold. A Sentinel's bond with its Harmonizer is measured in "Synchronization" from 0% to 100%. The stronger the bond, the higher the number. It is relatively uncommon for most Harmonizers to achieve a Synchronization rating of over 30%.
Synchite (Pronounced: Sink-Ite): A soft, reddish-white metal. Very valuable. Used to recharge and maintain the Sentinel's power core. Enrise
I am saddened that this RP isn't getting the attention it deserves. I'll apply if possible. Character Name: Frieden von Zerstörung Character Age: 30 Character Gender: Male Character Callsign (if any): X-Angel Character Description: Hailing from the Northern lands originally, Frieden is unquestionably pale and an extremely white, complimenting the 6' 4" semi-muscular built body, which he has attained after many months of exercising and conditioning. Throughout his upper body, he has a continuous tattoo of a pledge he has taken, an unorthadox way of devoting his loyalty to the Dominion, starting from the tip of his left arm, around his torso, and ending on the tip of his right arm. Always seen with a straight face, as a result of being attentive to his commands and tasks without question, he never thinks twice of his duty, and is as a result, a nearly permanent facial expression. He also gives an honest, yet piercing cold grey eyes, as if he was to see into your soul behind his long mane of blonde hair, usualy kept back. Sentinel Name: Licht Sentinel Description: About the normal size of any normal Sentinel, this one is however colorized silver, representing Frieden's cause as holy, and meant to destroy any who see otherwise. It appears more humanized and more facially adept to match Frieden's face as well, that most. On it's back is mounted a pair of wings, shaped like an angel's wings; also mounted on its back is a spear, used in his left hand along with a sword sheathed on his hip for his right hand. It is also keep unusually clean by Frieden, showing his personal affection for his Sentinel. Synchronization Rate: 25% Faction: Dominion Harmonizer Powers:

Full Barrier: A fairly medium sized force field, nearly impenetratable, it can fit about 6 other Sentinels if they were to stand next to each other. Mostly used for tanking enemies and protecting an injured ally when being healed, it's hardly used for the frontlines of battle. But that's not to say it's can be used. It's campatible with mobility, but it drains the users energy a lot quicker, so it's not recommended.
Distant Barrier: A long distance partial shield used to protect an ally from a sneak attack that they can't defend himself in time. Not normally used, it still takes up some energy, it's not very strong, meant for a last defense, to attract the attention of the ally to regain his ground. It can also be used as a last resort for the user as well.
True Light (also named Light of Destruction): The only offensive ability in his current arsenal, it is created by striking the tips of the blades together. If True Light is activated, a small radius of energy is created, enchancing all technology in the area by twice it's current abilities, both enemy and ally. If Light of Destruction is used instead, a small, weaker version of an EMP is created, having the equal opposite effect of True Light. Both abilities affect the user as well. (This one is more of a two-sided ability, since the probability of either one activating is 50/50; it's more scenario dependant than anything).
Character Personality: Purely devoted to the Dominion, any type of slander, or otherwise deemably offensive choice of words regarding the Dominion will quickly ignite his sense of purely nationalistic attitude and retaliating is usually a normal occurance for him. Otherwise, he is normally a happy, and a stand-in-line soldier, often doing what he is told be his superiors, and will not hesitate to accomplish any task given. He doesn't really talk much otherwise, but does emit a warm vice of energy that makes other usually comfortable around him; rarely would he get into fights with others, especially those who are considered "friends" by what the normal standards; he doesn't really deny having friends, let alone denies very little things. Aside from that, he's a normal devoted soldier to the Dominion, especially to his Lord, his Leader, his Emperor, his King, his truest Superior. Character Biography: Originally from the Northern Lands, along with his people, he has done many things that would normally be accepted, and regarded as someone who is purely wrong on his current society. Completely dumbfounded and confused, he was exiled from his people at young age, late teens, and was forced to travel by himself. Traveling all over to find a place he could call his home, and to where he can feel rightfully walk the streets and feel wanted. When he discovered the Dominion Empire, he learned of its society, its people, its military and its laws. Having the feeling of Dominion being a place he could truthfully call home, he decided that it would be right to live here of all place, and was quickly accepted, especially after he signed up to join the Dominion Empire's military service. After being drilled day in and day out of the qualities of being a stand-in-line soldier, he was quickly conformed to a true soldier's quialities, and his devotion to the Dominion Empire quickly rose to heights unknown, eventually giving him the idea of tattooing his pledge to the Dominion on his body. He would even serve his Empire till his dying breath and beyond. I hope that's good enough.

CrystalCyae
I'll be making an application shortly. One question I must ask though- If I were to give my character some disadvantage (like innability to concentrate, thus rendering them easier to defeat in a battle) would I be able to give them some insane synchronization like 50%? I just wanted to ask because that was an idea i had and i'd hate to have to suddenly change part way to go around a normal 30%-
