monster types

I've got some questions about the types of monsters and what the rule/guidelines are

first of all I've been starting to put together well, a deck I've been dreaming of on and off since I started watching yu-gi-oh 10 years ago.

right now they are beast types, but I was thinking about changing them to something to make the wording on the spell cards, trap cards, and within their effects less bulky

if I wanted them to be something like equise type monsters rather than beast type how far out of line is that? I ask fully aware that those are not official types of monsters.


I'm still working on the drafts of them (to make the original artwork for them will probably take weeks or months and access to some subjects to photograph that I currently don't have) suggestions for ways to cut done on the time needed for getting acceptable pictures would be welcome (these pictures would be of horses, horse shoes, and horse related enivornments because yes this equisterine has always wanted a horse themed yu-gi-oh deck)

If you can make proper support and make people think they're good as their own type, then go for it. Just be warned that "fake types" are not very well liked in Realistic Cards. If you want to avoid this, you can go to Any Other Cards and you'll be perfectly fine so long as they're actually good.
