Yea. Another bad game design element is no customisability. I love KOF13's colour customiser. I can have my Characters with GG Colours, BB Colours or any thing I feel like. It's so awesome.

I think a bad element of game design is to not have any replayability value. That's why I almost never play any Shooter/FPS/Party Games anymore, because they simply lack the quality of ever playing it again. It's like "great, I beat Call of Duty. Why should I play it through again?" That's why games like Soul Calibur, Dynasty Warriors, Final Fantasy (not XIII though, because of artificial difficulty (another bad element I'd like to point out)) appeal to me, because there is simply no one way to play the game. Once you beat Soul Calibur on one character, you can go back and play it with another character. Same with Dynasty Warriors. Final Fantasy has nearly limitless customization options that allow you to fine-tune your characters to what you want them to be. Hell, Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time had great replayability. After finishing the first disk, you have the choice of keeping 2 characters of your choice while you let the other two rot in some miserable hole. Once you finish that game, you can play it through again and get those other two characters that you didn't get the chance to get on the first playthrough.

I like the examples you listed those are some of the best parts to me. (first post)

Boob jiggle: I know they are trying to make a game "realistic" but they go way overboard with the boob jiggle its like no girl in video games wear a bra.

A lot of the time it's used for parody anyway.

I don't think anyone has focused on singleplayer in Call of Duty since COD4.

That reminds me.
Focusing a game around the Multiplayer.
Especially fighting games, which could have perfectly good extra modes, but instead have a ton of focus on online.

2D Fighters <3 I don't play online because button lag. We have a 2d fighter club at our lolocal arcade. I was about to say school, but then I realised I'm homeschooled so Yay.

Worst mistake anyone can ever make with a 2d fighter is making everyone of a character's moves safe and then giving them a divekick, but divekicks have been gay since the beginning of time and only female characters are allowed to use them because then it's not a divekick.

Yea but sometimes it just gets to way out of hand the boob jiggle MK Armageddon had the ladies breasts stretch out about 12 inches every time they moved.

as I said, they have to appeal to Teenage boys, most of which cannot control their desires. 90% of people now are Perverted, deal with it.

Worst game design element is when something is overpriced(why is a counter-assault 50% Heat when you can't combo from it or anything...?)

Reminds me of the time when I was getting rich quick with Astral Runecrafting in Runescape (321 gp for each). However, they dropped the price to 181 gp each and I lost my cash cow like that. Made me sad that I couldn't afford Death Runes as much anymore.

Also, I hate how in RPGs in where you don't know when you are supposed to win or lose a battle because of the difficulty of the enemy. You either end up using up all your items for nothing or for victory.

OH THAT.
THAT.MAKES.ME.WANT.TO.PUNCH.SOMEONE.

Back when I used to design RPG Maker games(I brought VX for £40. Best £40 I ever spent.) I used to just have the boss use Insta-Kill all on the first turn.

I'm gonna disagree here, games based around multiplayer have potential to be awesome, especially in genres like fighting games. These genres also tend to be potential e-sport grounds.

Bosses that 1/1 you are good. Bosses that 1/1 you and then can chain attacks to that move are bad design. It's like how 1 or 2 minigames are alright but when it's full of minigames it gets annoying (MMBN5). I'm not even bothering to read the thread so I'll also say bad controls and bosses with too ridiculous of a time limit.

Also bad game design is FF Mystic Quest.
