I elaborate, describing why it isn't good. And then he sends me this... [spoiler=Warning: Great Wall of Text ahead] ok so dark irregulars soul charge better? obviously we all know this kageros hardly have any cards to do it and ur an idiot only looking at the card at face value like yugioh vortex is amazing for the following reasons: IT FUELS ITS OWN EFFECT and not only that he gains a power boost so hes a 12 by himself every turn which is pretty fuckin good now lets not forgetu can boost it so back it up with a bahr and ya have a 20k vanguard with 2 drive checks so at the max it can be a 30k hitter now! assuming the opponent has an 11k vanguard which is the highest weve seen so far u swing theyll need to waste 2 cards or a null guard just to beraly outguard vortex get a drive check boom ya neged them 2 cards also YOU DONT NEED TO COUNTERBLAST honestly who r ya gonna counterblast with? berserk? why would u do that if u have vortex charging? plus lets say ur running bellicosity he unflips and u can back him with a madonna joka making him a 15 k hitter who'll either waste off ur opponents guards or hit and unflip now lets look at the weakness of vortex he hits only 3 rear guards ok so what? lets look at the strong points HE DOES NOT HAVE TO HIT hes an otk/mega neg by himself and heres why u megablast and use his effect u knock out ur opponents entire backrow and in a vortex deck u should be running madonna jokas, sutherlands, dual ax dragon, ect the works cards that gain advantage from retiring units in the main phase WHICH YOU JUST DID now lets say u have 2 ax dragons and vortex in ur front row and theyre all backed up by madonna jokas vortex is at 21k with two drive checks and ur ax dragons are at 22k each so this is late game so we can assume the opponent has about 3 to 4 damage 5 in the luckiest chances u swing with vortex, opponent will use nullguard u check into a heal trigger ya heal one give the power boost to an ax dragon and u check a critical u give it and the power boost to the other ax dragon then u swing with the first ax dragon they waste another null guard now thats 4 cards ur opponent got rid of this turn ok? then finally u atk with the ax dragon that has the critical on it ur opponent uses 3 10k guards and he beraly survives ok now! u didnt finish em off and hes still at 4 damage omg vortex must be bad am i rite? no? he has 2 front row rear guards and u wasted his entire hand he tries to swing u block ur turn u swing again he loses because he cant keep guarding now lets look at this from another situation he lets the damage go through and hes at 5 and u have no more attackers thats FINE because you still have guards and null guards in your hand you simply go for game next turn vortex just negged him 3 boosters so his front rows attack is greatly reduced and they cant come back from that now lets look at the dark irregulars they have demon eater but shes not explosive like vortex is no dakr irregulars benefit from her mega blast in fact it WEAKENS them why? because they need cards in soul and you just got rid of 8 which will let u make an big push your opponent can just sit back and keep hitting with theyre grade 3 vanguard to gain their advantage back while your struggling to soul charge and soul charge JUST so u can get ur effects off people like you dont understand this games finer points because your scrubs at it XD u think of it as yugioh u look at a card and its either good or bad but this is vanguard things arent like that u have to look at the cards playability in the clan vortex knocks out 3 and demon eater knocks out 5 well ok vortex is less with the same cost so its bad? hell no vortex knocks em out during the main phase AND sets up your other units so rediculously high in attack and you can either kill your opponents card advantage or win the game simple as that other cards like demon eater cant do that if ya want me to lecture u more just ask :3[/spoiler] That's the whole thing, unedited. Vortex Dragon Grade 3/Power: 10000/Kagero/Flame Dragon (V): Soulcharge 1, add +2000 until end of turn (V) (Soulblast 8, Counterblast 5): Retire 3 of your opponent's Rear-Guards.
