Where do I post this?

Locke Leed

Question

I want to completely rework the game. I mean massive overhaul. But every where I post my ideas on this page they aren't accepted. People can create fake cards and create fake mechanics, but if someone wants to create a new game that's not okay...

Who wants to talk about a "remix" version of Yu-Gi-Oh! with it's own rules and game play strategies (that don't involve advantages)?

Instead of calling it 'YGO Remix', either:

- Make your own format of YGO. Take "Topdeck 'n Highlander" for example. Search it up on Google or something.

- Make your own TCG.

I suggest you go for the second option and spend some effort into making up the concept. Then, you can post it in Written Cards where the community is more forgiving.

I was trying to make my own format. But no one wants to openly discuss ideas. It's like "show me the finished product or GTFO". I can do this alone, it's just more fun to do it as a community. People are too focused on XYZ and Synchro monsters and are totally forgetting that 5 years ago YGO was a differently format all together.

*sigh* I guess I just need to do this on my own... Seems like people are just not ready for a new TCG...

Has anyone even looked at my "Leader" cards???? A leader card is put into play after the coin flip but before the 7 cards is drawn. The "leader" becomes the purpose of the deck and not the advantages... Look in "realistic cards" to see where I'm TRYING to go with this; I posted 5 leader cards in 2 threads there.

You're not making a new TCG or a new format. You're obliterating YGO.

A GOOD format is a simplistic one. Yours is ridiculously complicated and flawed.

Xyzs and Synchros helped the game become more complex and skilled. Stop complaining.

I haven't played YGO in 5 years. I don't even know what XYZ and Synchro is. Maybe you guys are right. How can I re-create a TCG if I've left it 5 years ago.

Mod lock this thread, I have my answer.

And BTW, most TCG's ARE complicated. YGO and Pokemon are exceptions. It's geared towards kids, that's why.

There is a difference between complicated and complex.

There's nothing complicated about the TCG I was trying to create. You just have to forget what you knew.

  1. Construct a 60 card deck
  2. Pick a leader for your deck
  3. Done

Duel time?

  1. Flip a coin and determine a winner
  2. Put your Leader "into play"
  3. 7 monster zones, 7 spell/trap zones
  4. Shuffle deck, cut it, draw 7 cards
  5. Play like usual only you draw 2 cards and you draw one when you drop one
  6. Leaders don't die. They are just the middle-man to protect your life points.
  7. Leaders are either super monsters, support for your monsters, or affect the board
  8. Win conditions besides LP and decking are eliminated

I don't see how any of that is complicated.

Again, Mod, please lock this thread; I'm done trying to communicate my idea and having it beat around by these tunnel visioned Wallet players.

Let's see. In order to balance this, I'd have to get rid of the crossed out stuff.

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm playing MtG Commander now. Why would I not play MtG Commander again?
