I've been talking to my friends who live outside of America and they say their high school classes are cool, friendly, and accepting of everyone else. Apparently a whole class of my friend's reads Naruto.

Then I look at my high school class, most of them being obnoxious idiots that rip on outsiders, which I thought was supposed to be every high school. Is it just America, or are my friends just lucky?

What do/did you think of your middle/high school/college class?

I didn't mind it too much, but by 20 I was glad to be rid of the place, even tho I have to pass it everyday to get into town. Kept hidden my fandom of Pokemon in Sixth Form appart from a few friends, but nah I had good friends in Secondary School.

My classes are really dull, since there is barely anyone around. Sometimes, we all meet up with the teacher for a bit, but most of the time many of them don't even bother to show. However, they are all friendly and accepting, but they all remind me of Annoying Facebook Girl.

I f***ing love my grade. All the people I know are exciting and hilarious, as well as loyal and understanding. I've made such good friends in my grade who make my life so much more lively and worth getting out of bed for. Plus, even the kids I'm not friends with make class really interesting and fun for all of us. We have some of the most fascinating and beautiful girls. Girls of classic beauty. That's something I wouldn't trade for any other grade.

And sure, there are a huge number of people in my grade who are just dumbasses, but my high school is split up in IH/AP Courses, Honors Courses, and Non Honors Courses (arranged from most challenging to least challenging). Since I'm in AP and Honors courses, I don't get stuck with idiots, luckily.

Well let's see:
-horribly mean teachers (other than a few memorable ones).
-a gigantic clique of preps.
-almost no one likes good music and they rip on others for not liking the same bands as them.
-no interesting elective classes.
-no fun extracurricular activities.
-a very small group of people who are actually compassionate about other live and care about what happens to others.
-so many dumbasses.

I dislike my highschool.

Almost nobody in my classes like Anime or Manga.
I don't have to talk (well I don't ever in all my classes except for Lunch and Animation) and everybody seems to know me and notice me greatly. It's probably my jacket I wear everyday. There's also a girl who plays around and claims to be my girlfriend sometimes.

Everybody seems to be cool with each other in most classes, but they do a lot of gossip and seem to hate some people in the school.

I remember never seeing anyone playing Yugioh there except for a friend and I, until like a month later, then I seen more people, and now this year, pretty much so many people play it in the Library, I could host a tourney.

All the teachers are nice, and a couple are funny. My Animation Teacher lets me print stuff, as long as I'm doing my work.
I still dislike some students though, just because of how they act.

Pfft, least you guys HAVE football. Our school has no football team and no male lacrosse team.
That's right, we have a GIRL'S lacrosse team, but NOT one for guys.

It's weird, this one kinda-popular kid brought in YGO cards one day and got other kids to play with him.
Now my friends play each other every morning before homeroom .-.
If I told my past self that I'd be playing YGO in the open at school in senior year, I'd call a load of BS.

I find it funny that if the library is closed, practically, everybody would either play it outside the library room, or outside in the open if it's a Lunch Period.
We still need a Yugioh Club though...

They're okay. Unfortunately I don't have many classes with friends and the ones I do have them with are more like half friends (this includes lunch). I don't mind a lot of the kids in my classes unless of course they decide to try and steal my art assignment and because of that the teacher just make me to redo it (I moved to another spot after that).

My favorite class is probably Latin since all the kids in it are a bunch of fun and sure some may be "idiots" but they're still pretty cool. There's a senior in it (I should mention that second and third year Latin are combined) that I get a long with pretty well. He told me about Baccanno and may take me to an anime convention with him around March I believe. Maybe even help him with youtube videos. *Shrugs.* I also like Sociology. But that's just because of the awesome teacher and I like the subject. Biology has some okay people that I sit next to. Wish this prick wouldn't hit me over the head when I'm trying to sleep though (he does it in World History too). Comm arts...don't wanna talk about it. Everything else is just meh.

My school is full of amazing people, some close friends, and some total idiots.

But... I still find that I don't mind school as much as other people, and I don't mind the less-than-stellar environment. I guess that's a plus.

and on the topic of clubs, started the official anime club last year, whoop whoop. This year is a lot more fun because a lot of new people have joined!

Our School has an Anime Club, but it is boring for me. Not a single activity other than watch one episode of whatever then go home, and mostly everybody just sits there quietly, with a few loud people making jokes at each other. I don't even go to it, unless my friend is giving me a ride home and treating me to eat and stuff. And sometimes they gotta clean around the school and pick up trash before everyone can go watch an episode of generic Anime everybody watches. They never take my suggestion for the iDOLM@STER, so I'm not very fond of it.

This may just be me, but doesn't it feel a tad awkward watching anime with other people around?
I dunno, even if it's a close friend of mine, I think I'd feel mad uncomfortable watching anime with them, especially at pervy or emotional parts.
I don't think the anime club at my school does much aside from Anime Night where people can come eat and watch anime in the gym (which sounds unbelievably awkward to me, but whatever).
ALTHOUGH, they make amazing Pokeball cupcakes.

It does, especially with people I don't know.
There is a select few people I enjoy watching Anime with though, who are my siblings or more preferably my 11 year old brother, and just one of my friends.

My club just serves Popcorn. I'd much rather make popcorn in my own home and eat it watching whatever Anime I want to watch alone.

I believe I learned all too late that the Sci-Fi club at my school participates in watching anime. Oh, and on my teachers:

Mr. Martin - Mostly a bit strict, but he's pretty nice.
Mr. Stecker - He looks almost like the old man from Pawn Stars. He's funny, and likes to make fun of the kids who don't pay attention.
Coach Carter - Strict and very dull. When he's not telling us to open our textbooks, he's most likely sitting back at his comp and drinking Mountain Dew.
Mrs. Rogers - Gives us a ton of work at times, but she's funny as hell.
