Solemn Archetype

... and now this topic is about turning the "Solemn" Traps into an Archetype.

LIGHT/Fairy/Lv 9/Effect/3000 ATK/2500 DEF

[b]Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Cannot be Special Summoned except from your hand or Graveyard by paying 1000 Life Points immediately after the effect of a "Solemn" Counter Trap Card successfully resolves, and cannot be Special Summon by other means. This card's Summon cannot be negated. When this card is successfully Special Summoned:[/b] [i](Effect Unconfirmed?!)[/i]


[b][color=#ff0000]NEW[/color]~Solemn Maiden, Iustitia[/b]

LIGHT/Fairy/Lv 4/Effect/1200 ATK/2000 DEF

[b]This card can be Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position. When a Chain that includes a "Solemn" Counter Trap Card(s) successfully resolves: Target 1 monster your opponent controls; Destroy it.[/b]


[b][color=#ff0000]NEW[/color]~Solemn Maiden, Fortitude[/b]

LIGHT/Fairy/Lv 4/Effect/1800 ATK/1900 DEF

[b]This card must first be Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position. When a "Solemn" Counter Trap Card is successfully activated; This card gains 500 ATK.[/b]


[b][color=#ff0000]NEW[/color]~Solemn Maiden, Temperantia[/b]

LIGHT/Fairy/Lv 4/Effect/1000 ATK/1750 DEF

[b]This card can be Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position. The activation and effect(s) of your "Solemn" Trap Cards cannot be negated.[/b]

LIGHT/Fairy/Lv 4/Effect/800 ATK/2000 DEF

[b]This card can be Normal Summoned in face-up Defense Position. When a "Solemn" Trap Card is successfully activated; Gain 1000 Life Points.[/b]


[b][color=#00ff00]UPDATE[/color]~Solemn Discipline[/b]

Trap/Counter

[b]When an Effect Monster is Summoned, or the effect of an Effect Monster is activated: Pay 1500 Life Points; negate the Summon OR activation and banish that Effect Monster.[/b]


[b]~Solemn Revelation[/b] (inspired by Koloktos)

Trap/Counter

[b]Pay 2500 Life Points and banish 1 "Solemn" Counter Trap Card from your Graveyard. This card's effect becomes that of the banished card.[/b]


[b]~Solemn Funeral[/b]

Trap/Continuous

[b]When an Effect Monster's effect is activated when sent to the Graveyard: You can pay 1000 Life Points; Negate the effect.[/b]


[b]~Solemn Speedbump[/b]

Trap/Continuous

[b]The effect(s) of Quick-Play Spell Cards are negated. During each of your End Phases; Pay 800 Life Points or destroy this card.[/b]


[b][color=#ff0000]NEW[/color]~Solemn Recollection[/b]

Trap/Normal

[b]Pay 800 Life Points and target 1 "Solemn" Counter Trap Card that is banished or in your Graveyard; Return the target to your Deck. [/b][b]Spells, Traps, and card effects cannot be activated in response to this card's activation.[/b]


[b][color=#ff0000]NEW[/color]~Solemn Euphoria[/b]

Trap/Normal

[b]Banish all "Solemn" Trap Cards from your Graveyard; Gain 1500 Life Points for each "Solemn" Trap Card banished by this effect. Spells, Traps, and card effects cannot be activated in response to this card's activation.[/b]


[b][color=#ff0000]NEW[/color]~Solemn Tantrum[/b]

Trap/Counter

[b]This card can be activated as a Chain Link 2 or higher. Destroy all cards on the field, then each player takes 500 damage for each of their own cards destroyed by this effect (including Tokens).[/b]

Konami should print this as well as make the Solemn Counters as an archtype with this:

Solemn Revelation
Counter Trap

Send 1 "Solemn" Counter Trap Card from your Deck to the Graveyard. Pay Life Points equal to the Life Points you would pay on the card sent to the Graveyard and that card's effect becomes this card's effect.

I think this would do rather nicely, don't you? Also, the idea of a "Solemn" Archetype seems interesting.

... I might even make this topic about that. How's that sound?

Doubt it; with that kind of cost it can go from anywhere between "broken" and "not-worth-it". I'll make it 1500, though.


EDIT: Okay, anyone have any (not-too-broken) ideas for Solemn Judge's effect?
