Igknight
A few cards I created which support Equip Cards and themselves (slightly). They aren't really an archetype but they do all have the same Type and Attribute. I'm going to continue making more. I look forward to your comments! Locked Mechanism Fire *** Image: A giant gear with long, sharp pieces of black metal protruding from the center in the shape of a maw. Appears as though there is a furnace inside it. Machine/Effect Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. When an Equip Spell Card is activated, you can Special Summon this card from your hand. If you do, equip the Equip Spell Card to this card (even if this card is not an appropriate target). This card is unaffected by the effects of Equip Cards. This card gains 500 ATK for each Equip Card on the field. ATK 1200 / DEF 1700 Gear of Greed Fire * Image: A gear with a greedy face on it. Machine/Effect You can Tribute this card to draw and reveal 1 card. If that card is an Equip Spell Card, draw 1 more card. If not, send it to the Graveyard and remove this card from play. If this effect was activated this turn, you can send 1 Equip Card on either side of the field to Special Summon this card from your Graveyard in face-up Attack Position. The effect of "Gear of Greed" can only be activated once per turn. ATK 0 / DEF 0 *Changed* Processor of Spirits Fire ***** Image: A cylindrical machine with sharp talons and a beastly, evil face with an open mouth at one end. Machine/Effect You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by sending 2 Equip Cards on either side of the field to the Graveyard. When this card is Summoned, select 1 monster in your opponent's Graveyard and equip it to this card. You can banish 1 monster equipped to this card to inflict 1000 damage to both players. If this card is in your Graveyard, you can return it to your hand by shuffling 2 Equip Spell Cards in your Graveyard into your Deck. ATK 2350 / DEF 2000 Force Core Fire ** Image: Small pieces of black metal orbiting a larger piece of molten metal. Machine/Effect If this card is sent to the Graveyard, select 1 Equip Spell Card from your Deck, and place it on top of your Deck. ATK 700 / DEF 1200 *NEW* Force Conversion Quick-Play Spell Card Image: A destroyed Force Core in the background which is being drained by dark tendrils that start to coagulate in the form of a sword (or mace or any other obvious weapon really). Discard 1 card. If an Equip Card was activated this turn, draw and reveal 1 card at the start of the Battle Phase. If that card is an Equip Spell Card, draw 1 more card. *NEW* Soul of the Weapon Continuous Spell Card Image: A shattered weapon with life force flowing from it. Each time an Equip Card (or a face-up monster treated as an Equip Card) is sent to the Graveyard, increase your Life Points by 500 points for each card sent. *NEW* Dark Matter Life Claw Equip Spell Card Image: A dark purplish claw which seems to be overflowing with energy. Decrease the ATK of a monster equipped with this card by 300 points. If the equipped monster destroys a monster by battle, gain Life Points equal to the destroyed monster's Level x 300. *NEW* Dark Matter Soul Link Equip Spell Card Image: A duelist with a glowing dark red cord attached to his chest. The other side of the cord is attached to an aggressive looking monster. Increase the ATK and DEF of a monster equipped with this card by 500 points. If the monster equipped with this card is destroyed by battle, inflict damage to its controller equal to its original ATK if it was destroyed while in Attack Position or its original DEF if it was destroyed while in Defense Position. *NEW* Transmogrification Normal Trap Card Image: A soldier about to strike with a small sword which is changing into a huge, badass axe at the top. Target 1 monster on the field. Send 1 Equip Card equipped to that monster to the Graveyard. Select 1 appropriate Equip Spell Card in your Graveyard and equip it to the target. Link to comment
evawin
1) No, they cannot. You have to equip it to something. 2) No, Force Core would miss the timing. However, if you changed "When" to "If", then you could use Force Core's effect. However, Force Core would happen after Force Conversion, meaning the stacking would be rather pointless. Locked Mechanism - Pretty funny, but not too good. The effect is rather bizarre, so I can't quite comment on how you could combo this with any specific card. Gear of Greed - Interesting draw, but extremely fragile. The self-recursion effect seems very out of place along with the negative "banish and send the card you drew to the graveyard" effect. However, it does display some ingenuity. Take a look at Mystic Piper and see how it fairs by comparison. Processor of the Spirits - Outright bananas. Not only is it complete self recurring, but it also steals your opponent's graveyard resources for free. Combine this with any Vylon equip spells, and you effectively just went +2 along with getting a free 2400+ beater that burned your opponent for 1000. Force Core - Change "when" to "if" and he'll be good. However, he still will pass by the way-side since he can't stack in time for the other card effects. Force Conversion - Interesting concept, but very situational. The quick-play aspect is nice, but it doesn't net you anything in the end. At most, you get +1 because your opponent MST'd it, but at the very least, you'll go -1 (-1 to play the card, -1 to discard, +1 from the search). Overall, a neat attempt, but it will face a lot of issues without some form of reliable engine. Link to comment
Igknight
Thanks for the response. I decided to redo the card completely so that it is somewhat simpler. I also added a few more cards that allow for easier manipulation of Equip Cards. Tell me what you think. Link to comment
