[spoiler=The World Ends With Yu-Gi-Oh!]The streets were busy in Shibuya. People were walking around, all caught up in their own business. Some where talking with each other, while others were alone, lost in their thoughts. In the crowd, a teenaged boy was lying on the ground, waking up. As he opened his eyes, he noticed the people around him, who remained oblivious to his presence. He raised to his feet, reaching in his pockets to find a black pin marked with a skull. On a whim, he tossed the pin into the air. As the pin fell back into his hand, the voices of the people around him began to drown out, but those same voices started back up, but this time they sounded different, as if they were being told to him, like he could hear whispers ringing in his ear.

"What the hell?" the boy said to himself. "I can hear voices in my head!" What just happened? And where'd this pin come from? Wonder if there's a connection. He looked down at the pin his hand for a moment, and held it down, pressing the pin into his palm. The voices began to ring into his head, and as he focused on specific people, he could hear just their thoughts. A woman promising to herself to eat more healthy just to please her boyfriend, a man upset over the drink machines being out of change, a man idolizing the elderly designer of “Tigre Punks”…

Voices! Definitely voices! But why? Only then did it finally sink in. Am I hearing people’s thoughts!? What the hell IS this pin? His train of thought was interrupted when heard a ring. “Huh? Whose phone? Mine?”

He took out the phone, and all that was there was a simple message, saying “Reach 104. You have 60 minutes. Fail, and face erasure. – The Reapers”.

“Oh, that’s cute,” the boy said. “See ya, spam. Deleted.” However, the message stayed on the screen. “It’s like the junk mail from hell.” Suddenly, he felt a throbbing sensation in his right hand, and on it a timer, clicking down from sixty minutes. He looked around, and red emblems appeared, floating in the sky. They resembled grinning faces, but with no eyes. The emblems soon began to shake, and frogs began to crawl out. The frogs were about the size of a young child, with pale green skin, and thin, blue legs, but there were detached at every joint, looking almost like floating tattoos.

“F…frogs?” the boy asked incredulously. The frogs didn’t waste any time, immediately pouncing at the boy. Some clawed at his chest, but they just barely grazed his shirt and arms. “What do they want with me?” He took a few steps back. “D-down, froggie…” The frogs didn’t listen. They started intently at the boy, and leapt straight him. Without a second thought, the boy ran for his life. “What the hell is going on? Somebody! Help!”

The people didn’t answer, or even look at the boy. All they did was continue on with their lives, as if the boy wasn’t even there. “Hey… Everybody, stop ignoring me! What is this place…” The frogs swung at him once more. “Crap! I gotta run!”

The boy ran way away from the frogs as fast as he could, making his way through the crowd. He saw a store up close, and the statue of a dog to his right. “Should be… safe… here…” the boy panted. But he was wrong, as the frogs continued their pursuit. “Freakin’ frogs! Just leave me alone! I didn’t do anything to you!” More red emblems appeared, but they didn’t approach the boy, instead heading towards a few others in the area. As soon as the emblems approached, the people vanished in a flashed of red. “Why are people disappearing? What’s happening? Why am I even here? What the hell!”

The frogs once more moved in to attack. The boy braced himself for another assault, only to be distracted by a rising flow of water. The torrent collapsed on the frogs, throwing the boy to the floor, only to pass through other people like they were ghosts. The boy got up to his feet, only to be face to face with a something worse than grow frogs: A fish, probably about the size of a car. The boy stood back from the beast, knowing full well that it wouldn’t do much, only to see a figure walking right next to the creature, placing a hand right onto the creature.

“So, you haven’t made a pact yet, have you, Player?” the figure said. It was a tall man, dressed in tan jeans and a turtleneck. He had sunglasses and a red cap, with a white ponytail falling behind his back. “Don’t take this personally, but I’ve got a job to do.” Taking his hand off the large fish, he held his hand up before brining it down, pointing at the boy. “It’s time for the hunt. Prepare to face erasure, Player.” The fish reeled back, baring its teeth as prepared for battle, but all the boy could do was clutch the black pin, hoping for a miracle.

Please tell me you guys read the story.

I'm glad that Neku has a strong lead so far. I was actually worried that people would vote for SDKC just because people love the card. At least Neku is an actual character.

As usual, I don't know the 90% of the contestants, and this Neku Sakuraba guy is included

You should change that. I think you might like TWEWY.

I think I missed something. Roxas, did I miss something?

Why is neku fighting a fish? IS that a story I feel myself inclined to read? Is there any doubt who I'm voting for?
