Came to creating the effect, got that done and tried to think of theme to go with, and given the season... yeah that's my chain of thinking there. I went a bit mad with it really, but hey ho... Igknight Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 This is pretty awesome. With proper support, I can see this destroying a lot of decks. Just needs a Mist Body right after its summoned and you're good for a turn. But yeah, we need more stuff like this, especially being unaffected by monster effects not just immune to destruction so that we can give BLS and Caius the finger.Also noticed that it says that you can't summon monsters. Should you still be able to set them? If not, then maybe just add an all other monster destruction effect so that we can spare people the headache of coming up with the two best support monsters for the summon of this thing. (Jinzo and Invicil I'd say.) Link to comment

CommanderVolt Posted December 28, 2011 Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 So you summon this, it's ATK goes to 1000 and you get to choose protection against card effects in which it will just be run over anyway? (Assuming you dont have an Honest or a Luminize but you wont be able to use the corresponding one depending on the choice of effect) It's very underwhelming. Preventing you from summoning anything else for the turn, leaving you with only a 1K Better is pretty bad. Unless im missing something here. Link to comment

I'm guessing the main problem is it's slow if unprotected. Although getting a 3K beater with immunity to all effects durinmg your 3rd End Phase would be nice, maybe it is a little difficult to get it to that stage? Any thoughts on how to improve it? Igknight Posted December 28, 2011 Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 Well, on the turn you summon this card, you could have a royal decree up or have activated a trap stun to prevent summon negation and other stuff. Then, during your end phase give it immunity to spells or monsters (probably monsters). Again, Invicil or Jinzo could really help here. However, if you know your opponent's deck well enough, you should be able to get at least 2 turns off with this providing you give it a mist body or protect it in some other way from battle (like Waboku, Thunder of Ruler, etc.). What you could do is make its DEF 2000 or so, so that it can protect itself from the common monster on the first turn. Then if your opponent can't destroy it by his second turn, then it should be pretty fair. I like the concept of cards that get stronger with time in general, its something that could really make the meta game interesting. Link to comment
