Special Gaming Skills

A few hours ago, while playing Call of Duty (inb4DURRCODSUCKS), I ended up getting the final kill with a Pistol. While watching the Final Kill Cam, one or two guys accused me of modding due to how fast I was firing the pistol (almost Sub Machine gun speeds).

After telling them I couldn't mod to save my life, I got to thinking about why I'm able to fire that fast. Then I remembered back to the good ole' Gamecube days. While playing a certain Starwars: Rebel Strike game, there was a level were you had to jam B as fast as you could to lift the X-Wing out of the swamp. It was hard as hell, but I still managed to do it a few times, and I think I developed my speed that way.

Anyway, discuss things in Video Games you tend to be good at or what seems to be a Special Skill of yours.

I have a natural talent at FPS games, I'm good at timing, and I can also judge Arcs pretty well (i.e. in Side Scroller artillery games, I'm pretty good at guessing what setting I should have it to before I fire).

also, being accused of modding doesn't get me mad at all. If anything, it's a compliment. :D

Being accused of modding tends to happen alot now if you have a good trigger finger. It's one of the main reasons I'm always in a party chat, even if I'm playing by myself. The constant b****ing gets annoying fast.
It doesn't help anything that there are more and more people modding these days. Next thing you know it'll be "Ha, you're not modding, what a noob."
I've even been accused of having an aimbot simply because I can snap to targets easily. :L

I was playing Black Ops tonight with my cousin. We had been playing for quite a few hours and I was getting tired. However, I decided to play one more match which was on Nuketown and I decided to use a Sniper Rifle (forgot which though) to just screw around.
In that match, I got two across-the-map kills with a grenade and one or two 360 no-scope kills with the Sniper Rifle.
I don't know if you call this "Special Gaming Skills", but I thought it was cool.

I think this might count.

In any game, I've always found that I work better under pressure, like in TF2 if I get surrounded as a Spy, I'll start headshotting like crazy (and with the Ambassador, all headshots are critical hits).

[s]Also, I'm boss at Mario Party.[/s]

It's why I always tend to play the kind of characters that not very many people are good at playing, simply because they can't tell what the opponent's going to do.

Case and Point: A.B.A.

But my fluke combos are sometimes like really good. I once did a 100% combo on a complete fluke which is O_o

I have an amazing ability of making VERY accurate reads in fighting games, as my Lambda plays can tell. It's why I always tend to play the kind of characters that not very many people are good at playing, simply because they can't tell what the opponent's going to do.

Except apparently when a defensive character is CHASING you.

I have no videogame talent whatsoever. I'm average at RPG's and just plain fail at fighting games. Still, I play them all the time.

Can you do Hadoukens, DPs, Reverse Hadoukens and Full Circle Forward+Forward motions? It took me about a week to learn all those and even longer to be able to them all on Thumbpad 100% of the time, not to mention different games are different on inputs(BBCS accepts sorta sloppy inputs: GGXXAC+ Makes you have to pretty much have it perfect, SF4 is wierd on inputs etc)

I don't mind it when people complain about it. It's actually pretty funny at times.

I've also had a few pretty good snap shots with the shotgun that ever surprised myself.

When it comes to fighting games, I guess I've become very good at predicting my opponent and adapting to different situations, and my ability to do better when things get bad. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to do so well as the "low tier" characters that I love to use.

If you play a good game, "Tiers" don't exist. I've seen Bridget and Johnny players beat Eddie(ZATO-1) and Slayer players before, hard as hell for them to do that, but they managed it.
