One of the lesser known games by Square Enix, Nier is a blast to play. I admit the controls are a little clunky, and the jump is just awkward, but when you get past that you're in for a fun, sad ride. I was able to spot a few Legend of Zelda references, and even a Resident Evil reference. The characters are colorful and diverse, and there's some pretty great plot twists, along with over the top violence and great boss battles. Highly recommend.
