SW cardmaker
I'm surprised no one has decided to post any thing on this topic. Before any one makes a post that says this is in the wrong section, Skylanders: Spyro's adventure IS a video game.

I have, and it made me think it deserves to be at least in the top 5 video games of the year.

Guest
as good as the game looks, and with all the content it's probably amazing, however it's just to expensive. starter set=£50 other 29 figures= around £203. so around £200-250 on one game? not right. and please stop stating the obvious. we know that it's a video game. we know what it means to judge a book by it's cover.
"Bad Game/10"
and that probably tells you why no one is commenting combined with the first sentence of this post. Toffee.
SW, the reason people are being rather negative towards this game, is because... Well... Its not really much of a Spyro game, despite him being included :/ I mean compared to the other Spyro games, Skylanders just sticks out like a sore thumb. .Rai
Spyro isn't really the game with an awful lot of good catchphrases. We should just discuss the game, because discussing quotes is simply stupid. Besides, Spyro's Adventure is a fairly bad game. Its audience market is far too young for the main Spyro franchise. It's basically a rather dull game made for introducing the franchise to younger players. It is gimmicky. A good game should be able to keep things to a minimum without having to force design upon it. One of the most important design principles is simplicity. Skylanders really just ignore this completely and go all capitalist with random figurines. Not to mention, it plays too differently from any other Spyro game I've played. It just seems like a complete breakaway. Which is quite sad actually. Not to mention that the company who developed it don't exactly have the best CV.
SW cardmaker
I like the game because 1) I've never played any of the actual Spyro games. 2) I watched a good play through of the game 3) I like new video games (especially if it has a new video game invention)

The slightly naive, newly capitalist gamer who wants to enter a new franchise. I've never liked that audience, or the company who aims towards it, because it's just a capitalist gameplan. It's innovative, but bad.

Play some of the ones on the Spyro games on the PS1 and you'll see what I mean. They shouldn't be too hard to find on ebay.
SW cardmaker
I got the game this Christmas, and I really like it. Also I've managed to get to the final boss fight yesterday, and it is nearly impossible with only the starter skylanders even if they are maxed out. Which skylander do you think I should get? 2 last things 1)my favorite thing in the game is the point where you get to control an Arkeyan war machine on the level where you get the Eternal Magic Source. 2)In this game the Arkeyan was an advanced ancient civilization that mysteriously disappeared thousands of years ago.(For those who don't know.)
