Steam

Steam is an amazing platform for gaming and I wouldn't dare call it evil. The again, I constantly am reminded that the only people making original and good games are Valve, Nintendo(to a point), and most Indie Game Companies. I'll stick to my TF2 besides your MW2 and 3, thank you.

As for Skyrim, I think it's kinda your fault. No one should ever play a game that made for console on a computer, for it would take so much awesomeness that your computer would no longer be able to run again.

And you'd get a free cake.

On the contrary, Skyrim was made for the PC, but Steam got in the way. The consoles can barely play it as is, and you'd also look at the modding support that Bethesda puts out. I have one hell of a computer, and it plays it just fine.

I just hate being forced into using Steam. Everything about it, at least to me, is useless. The game would have been far more enjoyable without Steam in the way, and herpderp you can't play this online because Steam says so... I'm really dissapointed in Valve. The things Steam forces you to do are excruciatingly redundant and stupid, not to mention stupidly redundant. If only we were given the option to start it without Steam- hell, I'd be happy without it at all.

Why, Bethesda... just whyyyyyy..... why are you doing this to me, why are you hosting the modding file cloud on steaaaaaam.... gahhh...

You've made a thread to complain. You sound like Shard, or something.

Yeah, I did. I want to know how others actually feel about it, though.

I'm overly mad right now, and I just find the whole shenanigans surrounding Steam unnecessary. I would like to play my games that I purchased when I want, where I want. Steam kinda says no to that whole business. Lack internet connection? Tough luck, I guess.

Yea, steam is amazing so I have no idea what your talking about.

And there is another thing like steam, just blanking on the name. Don't like steam us that.
Origin?

And people have legitimate reasons for hating that. It takes info from your PC apparently. Spyware is what it's being called.

There we go. Yea.

And I never said it was good, just if you don't like steam you have another option (granted a horrible one, but an option).

Oh I know you didn't, I was just telling others in the thread that didn't know.

It's ok to b**** about Steam people, but it's not really clever to say it's bad when it destroys all competition in it's market.

It's the best we have and we should be glad it isn't terrible like Origin.

I've had no problems with Steam whatsoever. It does require internet access - once, when you're downloading the game. After that, you can play the game in Offline mode. (If it's not an MMO or otherwise online, but I'd assume that was obvious to everyone.)

Not to mention that their prices are way better than retail here. Since I started using Steam, I haven't bought a single physical game. Granted, that was only earlier this year, but still.
