Leon stayed and watched the rest of the first duel at the end of the first duel he felt the dark energy in the room almost disapper as soon as the duel was over. He sat around waiting on the begining of the second exbition duel. Groups of people started to leave ,but he would not refused the chance to study more of his oppnents for the tournament. Helooked around trying to sense out any ominse energy. The announcer begain to annouce the second duel when an man with an american acent begain to thank people at his home. Leon didn't think much of it but was almost frozen in place when the man oppnent walked in to the arena. The power she was radiating was almost unreal compared to what leon was exposed to in egypt. He watched the duel as the girl took some loses early in the duel but he figured that she had a plan. He watched as the duel continued and noticed a faint purple glow around around her and her cards. He tried to release some of his positve energyto at least lower the pressure in the arena.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, Hewie." Nathaniel said as he got his food. "And you don't have to worry about your stutter, it won't bother me a bit. Now, why don't we get back to the arena? I'm hearing the next duel start." Nathaniel came out to the stands just in time to see Sullivan summon Roaring Express Train Rocket Arrow. He spewed a little of his beverage he was drinking at the sight of it, getting glances from the people sitting around him. "Wow, such a powerful monster, and on the first turn. "Well, Hewie, it's been very nice talking, but I gotta get back to my spot to watch this! Follow me to the special box if you want." Nathaniel clutched on to his lunch as he ran back to his seat.

Sullivan drew his card. "Well, since my Red Dread was destroyed, I got to add a new Battle Express Line Field Spell to my hand, in this case, Battle Express Line Yellow Sorrow! Now, obviously, I'm going to activate Battle Express Line Yellow Sorrow!" The field changed back to the train station, with Hustle Russel parked on its train track, but the roof and signs were now yellow instead of red. "Next, since I control a Battle Express Line Field Spell Card, I can Special Summon Battle Express Connector Rushing Buster from my hand!" On the opposite side of the middle platform, a train with the front of its diesel engine colored in red, blue, green, and yellow stripes pulled in, carrying about a dozen silver bi-level passenger cars. (2800 ATK|LV10) "Next, whenever a Level 10 or higher Machine-Type monster is Special Summoned, Yellow Sorrow decreases the ATK and DEF of a face-up monster by 1000, and I choose your Infernity Beast!" Infernity suddenly cowered when both trains sounded off their horns. (1600 ATK -> 600 ATK) "Now, let's see what you've got! Rushing Buster, attack Infernity Beast!" The monster roared ahead, and switched onto a track that allowed it to loop around the station so it could attack Infernity Beast on its track, charging at the monster full-speed.

With that attack declaration, Yuki began to giggle with the most clear insanity. Finally, the time had come to reveal her plans and begin phase one of the Exhibition Nightmare.

"I activate Call Of The Earthbound! Redirecting your attack at my set monster!" the woman forced the only set card to flip itself face-up. Infernity Beast ran off to a different track as fast as it could. Meanwhile, pink ghastly hands from the underworld began rising up around the arena. Her set monster was revealed to be a knight, hands holding together a very large dagger. However, it mattered not as the warrior was abruptly grabbed and thrown onto the tracks to be ran over.

"When Infernity Knight is destroyed and sent to my Graveyard, I can discard two cards to revive it." Yuki explained, sending both Infernity Death Gunman and Infernity Avenger to the Cemetery pile. Almost immediately, most of those hands pulled open a hole to hell and yanked the lifeless knight back onto the field in defense position. [1400/400 Level 3 DARK Fiend-Type]

Sullivan seems a bit annoyed at this play. He knew a little about Infernities, remembering Infernity Beast from a tournament in Tuscon a couple years back, but he had never seen this card before, or the cards she had discarded. "Well, let's try this again." He grumbled disappointedly. However, he might be able to pull this off regardless. "Snow Plow Engine Hustle Russel, attack Infernity Beast!" Like Rushing Buster, Hustle Russel charged up, then switched a few tracks until it was on a track circling the station. It built up speed as it came around, the tracks switching back to allow the snow plow the opportunity to run the poor creature over.

Infernity Beast unknowingly ran straight onto the track that Snow Plow was coming onto. The dog only turned to see it and whined seeing that its life was over. The train smashed right into it and caused an immediate explosion, with yellow holographic shards flying out and every direction.

Yuki's expression didn't show frustration, almost as if she didn't care the poor thing was given a cruel death. All that was there was a look of amusement and a grin that flaunted her insanity.

Sullivan was still a little peeved at this woman's clear mental breakdown, but he continued. "Now, it's time ta finish ya off as I go into my Main Phase 2!" He raised his hand into the air as his two trains transform into two metallic beams of light, arching into the air as a swirling red portal formed at his feet. "I will create an Overlay network with these 2 monsters! Xyz Summon! Roll down the tracks into firing position, Super Dreadnought Cannon Express Gustaph Max!" The portal grew in size until it consumed the distance between the two, then moved to the trio of tracks on the left side of Sullivan. A massive object emerged from the portal, first appearing to be a cube made from green squares, until the rest of the machine, a red base with a massive engine behind the cube, and two trains underneath the cube, appeared, and placed themselves on the track. This behemoth stood several stories tall, and had two orbs of light orbiting it. (3000 ATK|RNK10) "Now, I will activate the effect of my Gustaph!" The green cube started to unfold, rearranging its configuration into a cylindrical shape with an open top that revealed a strange red cubic head and a massive gunmetal cannon that lengthened out. The cannon rotated so that the head was facing Yuki, and the massive barrel of the cannon was aimed right at her, stopping inches from her face. "I can remove an Xyz Material once per turn ta inflict 2000 points o' damage ta your Life Points, which'll finish you off!" A mote of light sped into the head, causing it to light up as the cannon whirred to life, a bright light appearing at the other end of the barrel from Yuki's point of view. "Gustaph! Big Shell!"

Lukas stared in awe at the duel. Even from the T.V., he could feel the energy the duelist were exerting...he could feel the power coursing through him...through his veins...even from this distance. The american, Sullivan, gave of an aura of pride and confidence. There was also a feeling in there Lukas hated thrown in-that of love, for his home he had spoken about at the beginning, no doubt. From the girl, Yuki, he believed, he felt nothing but hate, anger, and evil. A lot like himself, he thought. He looked over at Jester. "Do you feel their power?" He asked. Jester shook his head. "You know I don't believe in that stuff. Duel Spirits, Aura, Dueling Energy. All nonsense. I only believe in the fact that cards can control people. I've seen that happen to you." Lukas grunted. "Its all true." He looked over at the briefcase. He grabbed some cards out of it and looked at them. "I feel it...all this power in one place. From all the pros in the same area, these cards, and the current duel. The energy is...its...amazing." He breathed in. He then saw a faint purple glow around him. No doubt Jester saw it, because his jaw dropped. "You're glowing," he pointed out. Lukas laughed. "I'm well aware." He then broke out into loud maniacal laughter. "All this power! And in one spot! I'm going to be unstoppable!" He began to laugh even louder. Even if Rachel, or the person in his other neighboring room, heard him.

"I don't think so." Yuki confidently responded, holding up her empty hand. It began to glow with the same demonic energy as the deck, and a portal beside her opened up. It was too fast to see, but something jumped out at Sullivan. In an instant, a humanoid fiend was standing right next to the man, holding a gun up to his head. The devil that had appeared wore a mask in the shape of a skull with long black hair flowing from the back. His evil red eyes glared straight into the soul of Yuki's foe.

"I have no cards in my hand, so the effects of my monsters are now active. As such, I remove Infernity Death Gunman from play to use his effect." the woman explained now that everything had been set for the stage. She was going to gamble, using a single card, to decide the fate of this match. "He will put a hold on the effect damage you will inflict. If you decide to press onward and take your one-way ticket to Hell, I will draw a card. Be it a Spell or Trap, I will take double the damage. If it is a monster... you will take the damage. ... Of course, you can choose to skip over this and not inflict damage at all. What's your choice?"

Sullivan grimaced. His opponent was good. Not only had she negated the damage, he really couldn't do much but allow her to take her turn. However, this monster's second effect pleased him, and got him chuckling for a couple of minutes before explaining. "Lil' lady, you don't seem ta understand what's goin' on. You ain't got no cards, save fer yer Knight. You'll be top-deckin', while I still got plenty o' cards in mah hand. I have a 3000 ATK monster, while you can't do nothin' but defend. And the funny thing is, I can do this again next turn, when you've used up yer Gunman. However, if I activate this second effect, I'll have a chance ta lose half mah Life Points, but still have those advantages I just listed, but you'll have a chance of endin' this whole duel right here." He grinned. "Trust me, kid. I've been in worse situations. So let's see who bites yer pal's bullet?" He took off his glasses and narrowed his eyes, his expression looking incredibly serious. He had the same look in his eyes that a man that doesn't fear death has when he's in a sticky situation as he uttered one simple word.
"Draw."

Hewie had taken a seat in the Special Box with Nathaniel, making sure to seat himself in a way that helped to obscure the view of his face, and began to hurriedly ingest his food (large chili fries and a bottled water) as he watched the duel, having pulled his scarf off of his mouth in a way that still kept his nose hidden.

"Could you slow down, my son?" Gazelle spoke to his son mentally. "Honestly, you keep eating like that, you'll end up like some of those overweight Americans."

"Can't help it," Hewie replied back with his mind, "this duel is... frightening. I'm on the edge of my seat."

"... like that cheese is hanging off the edge of your chin."

"Father...!" To anyone else, Hewie would have seemed slightly agitated about something; they could have figured that he was sensing the immense energy radiating from the woman who was currently dueling.

... and they would be half right. Indeed, he attention shifted from his nagging father to the duel in progress, as he witnessed the young woman calling forth a demonic "executioner" next to the American. Hewie nearly choked, not just on his food, but because of the great amount of pressure he felt from the woman's aura. He managed to swallow his food correctly, then quickly drank from his water bottle, nearly choking on his water, too.

After siting threw five sitcoms and three newscasts, Megumi tired of her hotelroom and decided to go get something to eat. She found a small café near the hotel, ordered a sandwich and tea there and sat herself at the terrace. It had a TV near the counter which was viewable from where Magumi was sitting and she saw that the second duel had begun, with one of the dueling girls apparently running an Infernity deck, while the other used some sort of train themed deck. Wouldn't mind taking a punch at that train deck, Megumi thought as she sipped on her tea, Or that Infernity deck for that matter. Again she wondered who and when she would duel first, it was like she had some sort of dueling abstinence. Maybe I should playtest my deck before? Even though Megumi was confidence on her dueling skills, since they had transported her all the way here, seeing all those strongs deck made Megumi question whether she could get any far in this tournament.

The average deck has 22 monsters, and 18 spells/traps. Yuki has gone through 4 monsters and 3 traps through the duel. That means in the aveage deck, there is a 18 out of 33 chance that she will draw a monster, reflect the damage, and make a comeback. Yet she is NOT using an average deck. Chances are she is running more spells and traps then monsters, to satisfy the handless requirement. Sullivan was right to assume that the cances were in his favor, but everything all comes down to luck. Luck. The biggest factor that totally disregards statistics, that disregards chance. The only question that needs to be answered was luck in Sullvan's favor? or Yuki's? Roman smirkd as he thought these things, as if he arraged them in a clever, interesting way. "I couldn't do it," He thought out loud. "I respect you Sullivan, for not fearing that emissary of death, but your dueling a demon that doesn't fear it either." Roman couldn't shake the feeling in his gut that Sullivan made a mistake in letting Yuki draw. In one turn she will rob Sullivan of the victory that was within his grasp, all because he decided to let her draw. . .

The purple haired woman began to laugh, still keeping that same crazed tone but an entertained one as well. This was truly something, seeing her first future victim so confident in his luck. Truly, if she drew a monster, Yuki was absolutely certain that this match would be over. The chances of the drawn monster being the key to ending this battle were very high.

... However, drawing a monster wasn't.

"Sullivan, was it?" Yuki questioned, somewhat regaining her composure and trying to recall the name of this fool. "I'll remember you. It's that type of overconfidence that makes everything all worth while. Especially when someone of your caliber can back it up." she commended the American and decided that he was now someone to not forget about. Surely, one held at gunpoint would be far too terrified to risk this. Even the slightest bit of damage would hurt so much...

Demons of Hell guiding her... The forces of the underworld feeding her hand evil powers, Yuki drew with the same energy that was new visible, creating a stream of power.

... That twitch. No...

It couldn't be...

Des Gunman tried to fire his pistol, but the CLINK! of the hammer hitting an empty chamber resonated through the stadium. Confused, he kept pulling the trigger before opening the six-shooter to reveal that the gun wasn't even loaded. Sullivan laughed at the threat...or was it a compliment? "Much obliged, kid, but where was I?" He pulled his sunglasses out and put them back over his eyes as he smirked. "Oh, yeah. Winning." Gustaph Max started to charge up its cannon, still being loaded and ready to fire. "Gustaph Max!" He declared, pointing at his opponent and pulling his other fist back. "BIG SHELL!!!" The giant cannon fired, engulfing Yuki in a massive fireball as the shockwaves could be felt, and the sound of the cannon going off could be heard, for several blocks. Plumes of smoke rippled through the arena as the audience waited to see what had happened to the loser.

Death Gunman and the Knight looked back at his master in total shock, and then disappeared as the Dueling Systems were shutting down. Yuki cried out in pain as she was flung back by the massive fireball, right in front of the entrance she came from. When the smoke clear, the loser only let out a subtle grow of anger, brimming with irritation. Those useless devils down in the underworld had hell to pay... As mad as she was however, she didn't bother to shout out anything else.

In fact, Yuki was somewhat accepting of it...

Sullivan deactivated his Duel Disk, reverting the train tracks back to a stadium. He walked towards Yuki, expressionless and stoic. He reached her slowly-sitting up form and patted her gently on the head, simply telling her "Good game, kid." before continuing out of the stadium.

Across the world, a small portion of the populace of small city in the heart of the United States of America, as well as several Union Pacific employees farther south in a train repair yard, cheered at their collective son's victory. Sure, it was an exhibition match, and it really meant nothing regarding his standing of the tournament, but Sullivan had proven that a small town and some railroad workers can make a potential champion.

Roman just looked at the screen, mouth dropped. I can't believe it. She actually lost. Yuki, the fearsome she-demon was defeatd by Sullivan, the man that, obivously, fears nothing. There duel was a short 3 to 4 turn shocker, yet the whole crowd was drawn into the tension, the dramatic moment that the duel presented. Though Yuki, she still unerved him. Sullivan runs a train themed deck, that can dish out monsters with high attacks. OR he can easily generatea monster with high ATK, that can also burn away half your life points. While he has learned a little about Sullivans stratgey and deck, he knew little about professional infernities. His locals had the common ones; beast, bettle, archfend, etc etc. but Roman has never heard of avenger or gunman. He has no idea what deadly monsters Yuki has in her deck or how fast she can swarm the field at any given moment. Roman sighed as he got up from his seat, preparing to leave the cafe-lke area. Sullivan Hopper, Yuki Kasierin, Rachel Svendson, And Lukas DeMunly. The people at my locals were NOT kidding. The world of pros are full of monsters. I. . .I don't know if I can handle this. . .

I'm not a child...

The loss or her impact on the crowd didn't affect her in the slightest. It was that same thing he kept calling her. So insulting... alas, she could do nothing about it except gracefully walk away with the rest of her dignity.

... Besides, there's always next time.

Yes... if their paths crossed ever again, Yuki would be sure to give that worm a thorough beating. He, just like those defeated in Osaka, will kneel before his empress in time. Until then, all the woman could do was put on a smile. Calm and recollecting her composure. That long amethyst hair flew to the side as the woman turned and began to silently exit the building.

Heaving a sigh of relief, Hewie got out of his seat, giving a slight belch from all of the chili fries he ate, and shuffled his way over to Nathaniel. "That was... a very close match, w-wasn't it?" he asked the young man, his voice slightly muffled by the scarf that he once again positioned over his mouth. He then went over to the nearest trash-bin and deposited the food container inside, before going back to Nathaniel once more and asking, "... if... if it's not to much for me to ask... might I... have a duel with you?" After having watched the last duel through to its climactic conclusion (tempted though he was to cover his eyes at one point), Hewie was rather anxious--eager, even--to have a duel of his own.

Lukas stood in awe. That duel was simply...amazing. He looked over at Jester. "That was awesome!" Jester shouted. "You've got some real competition! Sullivan uses trains? They are one STRONG group. And Yuki? Well, infernities are a powerful archtype! You have some tough looking competitors." Lukas nodded. "I know, I just don't care. Why? Because I'm better. You know that." Jester nodded. "I guess...and with those new cards you'll be even better." Lukas laughed. "Of course I will!" Jester just nodded again. "Yeah..." Lukas was getting a bit weird. "So..." He said. He looked at his own deck. "Wanna...try those cards out?" Lukas nodded. "Sure." The two sat down on the floor to begin a quick friendly duel.

Rachel watched in astonishment. Sullivan had such a powerful deck. She would have to do a lot of planning to get even close to a chance against that deck. Turning toward her coat on the ground, she picked up her deck box. She pulled them out. Suddenly before she could look inside to plan strategy's, the announcer started talking.

"Greetings NDML Duelists watching. We'd like to inform you that there is going to be a Dinner on the 10th floor. There will be a banquet room with the number 4 on it. Be there before 6:00 PM. This is mandatory. Any skippers will be suffering a severe punishment."

"Well it's 2:00 PM. I got lots of time." She then turned back to her cards. From the other room she could hear a friendly duel. It would be a great chance to start a strategising. Rachel got up and got some decent clothes on and walked outside and knocked on the neighbors door

Lukas looked up from his cards. Some one had knocked on the door. He was upset. He was a turn away from winning. But Jester had some good monsters out. "I'll get that," Lukas said, standing up. He walked over to the door. Who wanted him right now, anyway? Maybe Jester ordered somthing on room service. Maybe it was a cleaning lady. Whatever the circumstance, it would be a decent way to pass the time. Lukas fixed his hair briefly. He stopped at the door and hesitated before opening it. "What do you..." He stopped. how had henot seen this coming?. "Rachel?" He said, both supprised and annoyed. Jester waved. "Hey neigbor!" Lukas growled at him. "Not helping." He turned to Rachel. "What do you want?"

The door opened. It was Lukas and his friend. "Well. I was bored and wanted to duel your friend over there. In fact is he in the tournament?" Rachel let herself in and grabbed her deck out. "So what you think Jester? You up to the challenge?" looking around the room it looked like those guys had already made a decent mess, and wouldn't be suprized if was worse by the end. "Did you 2 hear on the TV bout that Dinner tonight?" Rachel asked picking up 5 cards to start duel if he accepted. "So you go first Jester, if you accept that is."

Lukas blinked. How rude! She just walked on in and challenged Jester to a duel. He was about to kick her out when Jester chimed in. "Challenge accepted!" He shouted. Jester handed Lukas his deck and shuffled his own. "And yeah, we heard about the dinner." Jester motioned to the TV to show they had seen it. He then motioned to the open briefcase filled with top-secret, super powerful, secret weapon-like, unreleased cards that sat on the bed. Lukas rushed over to the case and closed it. "I suppose you saw the duel." Lukas said, making sure she hadn't seen the case. "Those two seem really powerful. Their cards exerted an amazing power..." His voice level decreased as he said the last couple words. Jester raised a hand to Lukas to silence him. "Let's duel." He said. "So I'll go first." He drew a card. "I summon the Lord of D., so now any dragons I summon will be safe from your card effects (ATK 1200). Now behold this! I activate the spell, Flute of Summoning Dragon! So now I can summon two dragons from my hand! I pick Alexandrite Dragon in attack mode and Golem Dragon in defense mode! (ATK 2000) (DEF 2000) And with Golem on the field, you can select another Dragon-Type monster as an attack target. With that, I end my turn." He smiled. "Good luck." Lukas just snorted.
