iCherry
Yuki had absolutely no interest in watching two fools battle it out. So she took that time to get settled into her hotel room instead. Though, she didn't have much choice but to check on the situation and see who was next to duel. Of course, when she turned on the Television, the first thing she saw was some screaming idiot going on about how he's going to beat them all. The woman wasn't sure if she should be disgusted or just annoyed. "... Idiot."
Premier Alexander Romanov
Sullivan stood in the stands, unimpressed. Not at the duel, though. It was rather interesting. No, what he was upset about was the lack of space in the stadium. He preferred large, open stadiums instead of this stupid compressed crap. Everything in Japan is super-small. The hotel rooms were the size of barrels, the cars looked like sheep, and pretty much everything could be dispensed in a vending machine, even used schoolgirl panties. And the food is so expensive...and odd...And, worst of all, they had the NERVE to screw with the basic format of a passenger car's sleeping compartment by making them so incredibly tiny! And it didn't help that his Number was stoking the flames of his ever-increasing rage...
Shradow
His enthusiam lost for a moment, Nathaniel watched with his momentary cold, calculating stare as the duel reached its finale. He was sad that the duel was over, but it was very entertaining to watch. Although one thing did bother him. "That... Lukas was it? He's very... unsettling, I guess would be one word for it." He got up from his seat and stretched a little. "Well, I'm sure he'll be okay, most people don't act their best after a loss. I for one can't wait for my turn to come up. I wonder where this tournament will take us." Suddenly his stomach growled a little. "Well, I'll be back in a bit." Nathaniel waved goodbye to Megumi and Kazuya as he went to find a concession stand. guuu1234
Roman couldn't help but laugh. He is coming for "Us all", Roman thought to himself. I really hope i can duel him soon, i think he would really be suprised by my Darklords. Suddenly Roman Jerked his head up, frantically searching and scanning the stadium. What's going on? Why am i getting all of these odd feelings today? He had felt an intense feeling of rage spring up from somewhere in the stadium, a feeling that grew but was swallowed in the crowd of people. A legend of sort has risen up in the world of dueling. A legend that duel monsters have spirits and resides in a seperate world. Some duelists claim to be able to see these spirits, and even talk to them! Some conspirators have even go so far as to suggest that some global phenomenon have been caused by dark, evil spirits. Roman finds these myths and ideas positively ridiculous. though his subconscious intelligence can't help but wonder at times. After all myths and legends do have to start somewhere, don't they? grumble, rumble, rumble. Roman placed a hand on his growling stomach. "Ugh I guess I haven't eaten in a while. I better go grab a bite to eat." With that Roman strided toward the nearest stairs and exit in search of a place to satisfy his hunger. but despite his forward mind being stuck on his next big meal, his subconscious intelligence kept nagging at him. ParadoxCaller
Megumi turned to Kazuya, "Interesting?", she declared, "So he's planning to beat us all? I'd like to see that with my own eyes." She stood up from her seat, "I'm going back to my hotel room, guess I'll see you around?". She gave a little friendly wave to Kazuya and walked out from the dueling stage. When she exited the Kaiba Dome and continued back to the hotel, she noticed that the duel she had passed before had also come to a close. That Lukas kid sure was energetic, not something you see so much off in the Pro League, she thought while leaning against the elevator wall. Again, her thoughts wandered to who would be her first opponent in the NDML? When she got back to her room, she sat down on the bed and picked up her deck. She started browsing threw it, admiring every card one by one. These cards had taken her all the way here, she owed it all to these guys. Suddenly she felt as though someone was watching her, she quickly gazed over the room, of course not seeing anything but the usual. She shook of the feeling and looked back at her cards, maybe those stories about Duel Monster spirits and such are true. No, it can't, those are just lullabies for children. She put down the cards and reached for the TV remote, maybe some TV can calm me down?
~Tico~
The duel had finished. Kazuya sat back in his chair, eyes closed. He knew the fervor with which Duelists took to Dueling, but even so, Lukas had generally made a fool of himself with his parting comment. Rashness in this world will get you nowhere, he thought, If you're going to make such a declaration, you'd better have the power to make that idle claim reality...Or you'll pay for it in ways you won't like. Pulling his deck from the case he kept it in, he looked through it briefly. All of the cards had been with him through good and tough times alike. Although Kazuya had never believed in Duel Spirits, he could feel a sort of connection between him and them. All right, then, he decided, when time comes for me to duel, guys, you and I will give them hell.
Kingdom Xathers
Hewie could not help but feel a bit of uneasiness upon hearing the declaration of the losing duelist. Coming for us? What does he... mean by that...? His anxiety was then suddenly brushed off as his stomach gave a growl that could have sent a Blue Eyes White Dragon running (not really). Hewie felt somewhat embarrassed about how loud the growl was; it also reminded him that he had not had anything to eat all day. He went up to the first person he could find in the stadium and, with his scarf still covering his mouth and nose, asked, "Excuse m-me. I was wondering... where the c-c-closest place to get lunch is...."
Shradow
On his way to the concession stand, someone wearing a scarf came up to him and, with a stutter, asked where he could get some food. Nathaniel blinked for a second before realizing he recognized the newcomer from the train. "Oh hey, I remember you from the train. I'm Nathaniel Hughes, I don't think I've introduced myself to you yet." He grabbed the guy's hand and shook it energetically, jarring him and almost sliding off his scarf. "Anyways, I'm off to get some food, too, so we can go together. I think I saw something over that way." He pointed back to where the walkways went past the stands. "So, you excited for this tournament?" Nathaniel smiled cheerfully as they walked.
AkatsukiPride!
"No offense, dude, but you made a fool of yourself." Jester pointed out. Lukas and Jester were walking back from the Dome to their hotel. Lukas had decided to leave when he saw everyone talking about him. Some were disgusted, some confused, and some were doubtful. "Why'd you do that?" Jester asked. "Simple!" Lukas shouted. "The more people that hate me, the easier it is to be me!" Jester nodded. "So you bluffed to get people to hate you?" Lukas laughed. "That was no bluff. We know that." Jester's face scrunched up. "Dude...Kraken is kinda your best card...and your biggest monster..." Lukas grabbed his arm, stopping him. "Give me the others." He said firmly. "I need them now more than ever." Jester shook his head. "No. I cant do that, Luke." Lukas laughed, and then tensed up. "Just give me them." Jester shook his head again. "Manual function: Open Containment Units A, B, and C. Bypass code: The Three Fantasies." Jester's Duel Disk split into three units, each revealing a hidden card. When the units opened, a black fog disbursed from them. He picked up the three cards and handed them to Lukas. "Here. You get what you want." Lukas grabbed them, and the fog followed the cards. He put them into his deck, and then fog flowed up into Lukas's mouth. His body tensed, and the air around him darkened. "Yes, the power! I feel it!" A kid walked by them with a balloon. "Hey! Your the weird guy from the TV!" He shouted, pointing at Lukas. Lukas snapped his fingers, and the kid's balloon popped. His eyes watered and he began to cry. Lukas just laughed. "See that, Jester? That's why I need these cards. When we get back, give me the rest of the strongest Darksouls." Jester's face screwed up. "Sure...sure, Luke. Sure..." CNo.101 S.H. Death Knight
Kuroe remained in drought of the crowd, causing her to miss some the action of the duel. To top of it off, Lukas's shouts echoed her head, strong enough to make her passed out. The crowd subside as the duel officially ended, that still leave another for the night. If this goes any longer she will have the feeling of herself splitting apart in her head. Alas she have some time spared before the next match, so she left her seat, walking wobbly, to the nearby shop to buy foods, even she with her cloak on. People are likely to find her looking suspicious but She doesn't really have sense of fashion or whatnot that people have. she noted herself, that currently everything seem to be going smoothly as planned, no signs of any incoming dangers but she thought to herself that it could be the fact that there no sign of danger is the sign itself. As she is one to think that way, she shall remain alerted but for her to maintain her position in the crowd, she will need something to block out most noises coming at her. Kingdom Xathers
Hewie had to catch his scarf from falling off of his nose. "My name's Hewie," he replied as he tightened the hold of his scarf. "At least, that's... what my friends c-call me." He decided to follow Nathaniel to where he had pointed out. "Funny, I-I had a friend with the s-same first name as you," Hewie added with a slight laugh. "Excited?" Hewie said when Nathaniel asked him about the tournament. "... t-to be honest, I'm actually a... a bit nervous about m-my first duel of th-this tournament. Don't get me wr-wrong, though," he added, holding up one hand, "it's n-not the reason for my st-st-stuttering. That's actual... actually normal for me." They eventually reached the concession stand. "Now, let's... see...," he said slowly to himself as he rummaged through his jean pockets, and then his jacket pockets, until he found the debit card that was given to him by his boss. "Ah, here it is. I just have... to remember not to sp-spend to much during this t-tournament," he said. "I-If I d-d-don't... my-my-my boss will t-t-t-tan m-m-my hide," he concluded, his stuttering increasing as he envisioned his boss coming after him with a rusty machete. Sp1at
Rachel looked around the Stadium from the middle. She walked off to the side. That guy was a piece of cake to beat. If he didn't use his monsters effect he would of easily still been in it. But she knew sooner or later she would win. Because she still had 5000 LP. 1000 more than what she started with. "Hello again Duelists and fans around the world! And now for our second Exhibition Game, we have! Sullivan Hopper vs Yuki Kasierin!!! This will be the last Exhibition before the Tournament begins! it'll be a great tournament with what we saw from the first two continues! Now can Sullivan and Yuki start getting ready for your match." Rachel went through into the room she was in before. It was time for her to get her stuff and head to the hotel for a nap. She was beat. Premier Alexander Romanov
Sullivan heard his name and grinned, whipping his sunglasses out of his shirt pocket and placing them on his face before walking out to the field. "Hey, everyone! He's coming onta the field! It's Sully!" At Patrick's Sports Bar and Grill in Mason City, Iowa, thousands of miles away from Domino City, Japan, many patrons, who were staying way past when the establishment was supposed to be open, were watching the broadcast of the duel intensely. At the forefront of the throng was a couple, one a man in his early-60s with a bald head, similar sunglasses as Sullivan, a white shirt, and blue jean overalls, the other a woman in her mid-50s with graying black hair, a white buttoned shirt, and a secretarial skirt. The woman was holding a picture of three boys, one of which had Sullivan's sunglasses. Sullivan walked onto the field towards the referees, and snatched one of their headsets, pointing at one of the cameras positioned above the field. "This goes out ta Mason City, Iowa, back in the United States o' America!" He yelled. "Without ma pa and ma supportin' mah decision ta become a railway engineer instead o' runnin' the family farm when mah brother Mike died, I wouldn't be here tonight! Because as I crisscrossed the country, I heard about Duel Monsters, and I joined up! Mah trains ran from city ta city, workin' mah way up the ladder, until I took a train here, to this here championship!" The crowd in the bar cheered happily, as did several other groups also watching the dueling in other locations across town. Similarly, many engineers and railroad workers across the nation who worked for Union Pacific watched and hollered at the shoutout. Sullivan continued. "So when mah opponent gets on the field, I want her ta know that she ain't just facin' me! She's also duelin' against Jacob Hopper, Sr., Christine Hopper, Jacob Hopper, Jr., Trisha Hopper, newborn Jacob "Jakey" Hopper, III, Mrs. Bernadette Sweetwater of Mason City High School, Betsy Morgan, now working at Patrick's Sports Bar and Grill, Emilio Suarez of Union Pacific, and all of those wonderful people in both Mason City and Union Pacific who helped me get here!!!" Those supporting Sullivan continued to cheer as the bartender in Patrick's, a Miss Betsy Morgan and an old high school sweetheart of Sullivan, gave out free rounds. At a railroad repair shop in Little Rock, Arkansas, a Hispanic man in his early-50s raised his beer can in triumph while a co-worker ran out to get some champagne. Sullivan gave the microphone back to the flustered referee, and took his place, waiting for Yuki to show. He was still stoic, but he was determined to win. After all, he had to, for his family, his friends, his co-workers, and everyone else who had his back.
iCherry
Ridiculous. Yuki had already began to make her way to the stadium via limousine. Of course, she encountered the misfortune of having her window down and hearing that... that... what the hell was that? That speech impediment only some silly foreigner could have... it was incredibly irritating to hear. When he began to shout out several names, the woman covered her ears to block it all out. The car made it there in record time without speeding, thankfully. The purple haired damsel left the vehicle and silently made her way inside the arena. A black and orange duel disk was already armed onto her right arm, loaded with a deck that emitted a violet colored demonic aura. Invisible to the naked eye, Yuki herself was covered with that same energy. An annoyed frown surfaced when she walked out to hear everyone in the audience screaming. Her cold gaze met her foe... Premier Alexander Romanov
Sullivan watched his opponent walk into the stadium, and he...shivered...something about this girl unnerved him. And something about the way she looked at him made him want to run away, but his stoic expression didn't falter. He was here to duel, and even though the duel had no impact on the tournament, he had to show how good he was. He activated the Duel Disk on his arm, a Duel Disk he, Emilio, the person who showed him the ropes at Union Pacific, and a few other friends that were co-workers repaired and upgraded from a beat-up Battle City Duel Disk he bought from some Canadian. iCherry
"How rude, referring to me as a child." the offended Yuki responded to Sullivan. She was a woman, not a kid. Regardless, she cared not to show off, but only to win just as always and prove her superiority to all of the fools that flocked here. Her Duel Disk activated as the duelist walked forward to the battlefield. It linked up to the opponent's, beginning setting her life to four thousand and shuffling her deck. "I suppose I must respect my elders... you first." Yuki offered, taking the earlier jeer at her age and threw it right back.

Opening the door she once again is amazed at how amazing this Hotel looks. Jumping up the stairs, she reached her room. Taking out the key card again, she slid the key in the slot. guuu1234
Roman found a nice place to eat rather quickly, ordered a Hamburger and fries, and proceeded to pig out as dignified as possible. While he was eating, he noticed someone enter the food court wearing a long cloak that concealed most of their face and body features. He barely recognized the mysterious person as female through the fabric, but she stood out so much that it was hard not to notice eventually. Yet she looked familiar to him, though he couldn't place why. While wondering why the mystery female looked familiar to him, he noticed two other people walk into the food court. Though he didn't normally keep an eye out on who enters and leaves a room, these two stood out too. At least, one out of the pair did. The best way to describe one was that he looked half-human, half-animal. Seriously. The other had kind of a badboy look, with silverish hair and blue eyes? It was hard to tell from his seat. Anyway he turned his attention away from the 3 individuals that stood out and toward one of the many TV's in the area. It looks like Rachel left the dueling area, only to be replaced by some guy with dark sunglasses talking like he was from the country. He gave shout outs to family and friends, so Roman couldn't help but smile. I respect how he honors his loved ones, even hundreds of thousands of miles away. Then his opponent entered the stadium, making a grand entrance with just her presence alone, without even meaning to it seems. Shewas a tall and slender woman with long amethyst colored hair and crimson eyes. Cold as ice, she glared at her opponent like he was a piece of meat. Even through a camera this female, Yuki, frightened him. He couldn't imagine how Sullivan possibly felt dueling her. There was something else too. The air around her, it looked kind of. . .twisted or distorted to Roman. He dismissed it as a trick of the camera, probably a result from the glare or something. After exchanging a few words, probably nothing nice coming from Yuki, the two players duel disk synchronized, and Sullivan took the first turn. Looks like another very interesting duel from the Pros was underway.
Premier Alexander Romanov
Sullivan smiled. "O' course, kid. I'll start this lil' party off by first activatin' Terraforming, which allows me ta add a Field Spell Card ta mah hand, such as Battle Express Line Red Dread!" A device dropped down onto the ground and created a bubble of energy, from which a card popped out. "Now, since I don't have no cards on mah field, I can Special Summon Roaring Express Train Rocket Arrow!" A set of tracks ran through the field, and a horn could be heard as something approached, only for a huge train with what appeared to be a plane attached to its front car to emerge from the tunnel and follow the tracks, which soared up towards the stands. The train continued to circle the field, like a hawk waiting for the kill. (5000 ATK|LV10) "I can't do no more, so I end mah turn!" iCherry
What on earth does this fool think he's doing with such a gigantic piece of scrap-metal? Yuki questioned the appearance of the over sized machine, not even worried about its ludicrous attack power. The woman quietly began by swiftly pulling a card from her deck. She quickly threw two cards into the Spell and Trap card slots, then placed one in the Monster zone. "I set a monster and two other cards, then end my turn." she announced with a rather emotionless tone. Yuki was waiting... Premier Alexander Romanov
Sullivan drew his card. "Now, I'm supposed ta discard mah hand ta keep mah Rocket Arrow on ta field, but I'm not gonna, so Rocket Arrow gets destroyed." The huge train suddenly explodes as it passes over the duelists. "Next, I'll change ta field ta Battle Express Line Red Dread!" The entire field shifted from a stadium to a train station with a red roof, red signs all over the area, and two platforms, where some bleachers were set up for the spectators, on either side, while Sullivan and Yuki were on a middle platform. Three rail lines ran on one side of the middle platform, Yuki's card being on the track closest to the girl, while two others ran on the other. It also appeared as though they had been transplanted to a flat plain with a noon sun and big, fluffy clouds. "This Field Spell gives an extra card ta whoever summons a Level 10 or higher Machine ta their side o' ta field, but I'll just mimic your play a lil' and set 2 face-down cards." He grinned. iCherry
The woman scoffed when the battlefield changed in Sullivan's favor. This was train turf now, and if Yuki wasn't careful, high powered monsters like that last one could be a problem. Why he let it be destroyed was beyond her, but this was a rather obvious trap. Even that grin gave it away. Regardless, she took her next card. "I Normal Summon Infernity Beast." she announced, slapping a card down onto her disk and calling forth a dark brown skinned hound. As it howled with its arrival, a large amount of fire was blown out of its mouth onto the ground. It was most likely a threat. [1600/1200 Level 3 DARK Beast-Type] "Direct attack." Yuki declared with a blunt tone, doing absolutely nothing else but giving the command to attack and pointing out towards the target. The dog charged forward at the foe, letting its cheeks puff up into large orbs. After only a moment was a fire blast shot out at Sullivan to inflict its damage. Premier Alexander Romanov
Sullivan didn't seem phased. In fact, he looked...happy? "I was hopin' you'd take that bait! Time to activate a few effects! First, since you're attackin' me directly, I can destroy all Spell and Trap Cards I control ta Special Summon Snow Plow Engine Hustle Russel in Attack Mode!" Suddenly, a huge storm blew in, and covered the field in a thick layer of snow. Afterwards, a train horn could be heard as a red train with a strange golden snow plow on the front charged up the same track Infernity Beast was on. (2500 ATK|LV10) The engine suddenly started to suck all of the snow in, reverting the field back to the stadium, though the sky was still stormy. "However, Hustle Russel has a second effect! For each Spell and Trap Card it destroyed with its effect, it deals 200 points of damage to my opponent!" Hustle Russel proceeded down the track, but as it passed Yuki, it shot out a torrent of snow onto the young woman. "Finally, the effects of my face-downs activate, both of which are Wild Tornado!" The storm above seemed to get worse and worse, thunder and lightning echoing through the pitch-black clouds, until two tornadoes descended towards Yuki. "When they're destroyed while Set, I can destroy 2 cards on the field, so why not your two face-down Spell or Traps?"
iCherry
Yuki took the damage, her head began forcefully turned by the snow hitting her. Infernity Break and Infernity Force were flipped face-up before destroyed by the Wild Tornadoes. The dark skinned hound quickly ran back over to his side of the field, as the attack would most likely be canceled with the appearance of a stronger machine. ... Even through all that just happened, the woman was struggling the hold in a laugh while grinning. A set card in the Spell and Trap card zone graced her field. Then, she went into her End Phase without declaring it and passed on the baton to Sullivan. AkatsukiPride!
Lukas looked at the hotel. "Nice looking place..." he mumbled. The hotel was across from the dome. It was mild yellow in color, and stood three stories tall. He wasn't used to places this small, and he didn't like the color. He pushed the door open, and him and Jester walked in. Jester proceeded to the front desk to revive their room keys. As Jester walked up, Lukas spotted a girl going up the stairs to the rooms. She had long blond hair and wore a blue jacket, like Rachel. Jester walked back to Lukas. "Here's your key!" he said smiling, in complete contradiction of the conversation they just had. Lukas grabbed the key off of him. "Then to our room, I suppose." As the walked up the stairs, he say the same girl walk into the room next to his. Then it hit him. That was Rachel. "God dammit!" He said. Jester looked at him. "What?" Lukas pointed at Rachel. "Her." He said, "Rachel is our neighbor." Jester just laughed. "The universe is like that, Luke." The two proceeded to their room. Lukas turned on the T.V. set and found the next duel had already started. The duelist who stood where he did was a girl wearing black clothing, and a man with a heavy american accent, much heavier than his own, stood were Rachel was. Jester shoved a briefcase at Lukas. "Heres your cards..." he muttered. Lukas open the case. The rest of his deck was in there, along with some new cards. "Thanks," he said. "But right now, lets watch the duel."
