Because 1) Charlie was awesome and 2) I wanted to do something a bit different and 3) it seemed like a good idea that wandered through as I was walking back from work.

Based on one armed bandits/slot machines, they rely on the luck of having certain cards at the top of your Deck.

These are basic of the top of my head pilots, will review it all after a few comments.

VBC-024 [b]Red Slots[/b]

Machine/Effect
Once per turn: You can reveal the top 3 cards of your Deck; then activate the corresponding effect(s) for each Effect Monster revealed:
0- Destroy this card and take 2000 Damage. -1 or more: Target 1 of the revealed monsters; this card gains the targeted monster's effect until the End Phase. -3: Special Summon 1 of the revealed monsters, and send the others to the Graveyard.
ATK 1500 / DEF 2000

VBC-025 [b]Blue Slots[/b]
[color=#00ff00][b]WIND[/b][/color]

Machine/Effect
Once per turn: You can reveal the top 3 cards of your Deck; then activate the corresponding effect(s) for each Spell Card revealed:
0- Destroy this card and discard 2 cards from your hand. -1 or more: Target 1 of the revealed Spell cards; activate the target cards effect as this cards effect. -3: Add 1 of the revealed cards to your hand, and send the others to the Graveyard.
ATK 1200 / DEF 1000

VBC-026 [b]Violet Slots[/b]

During either players turn: You can reveal the top 3 cards of your Deck; then activate the corresponding effect(s) for each Trap Card revealed:
0- Destroy this card and all set cards you control. -1 or more: Target 1 of the revealed Trap cards; activate the target cards effect as this cards effect. -3: Set 1 of the revealed cards face down, and send the others to the Graveyard.
ATK 1900 / DEF 500

Thoughts on effects, OCG, potential support, balance et all appreciated.

Possible.

Any thoughts on these cards themselves first, as getting them right saves having to mess with support as well later.

It's just meant to be the colours of the cards they copy, but red isn't ideal for that one in first place. Just went with fire on a whim because of it, wind for speed/speed spells, and earth because dark was just too... common.

I probably should make them all DARK attribute really, but I always do DARK monsters...

You could, or you could activate one (although the timing must be right) and set a different one. But both effects activate. Same for Blue Slots.

Does that effect it being OP/UP?

I was thinking of them getting a bonus to there attack or defense for each trap or spell or monster, then getting bonus abilities for each different type of card revealed
