I'm new to the site so I digured I'd try something like this to get to know some people. Here goes!

Name: Mason Delbotoro

Gender/Age: Male/15/Freshman

Bio: Mason was born to abusive, alchoholic parents, and because of this he has developed a cold demeanor. He grew up with no friends and was often bullied. However, he became extremely good at Yu-Gi-Oh, often dueling other kids in school or around the neighborhood for money, cards, or anything else. When he was 14, he ran away from home and went to live with his cousin Kenny. Kenny, who went to Duel Academy sixteen years ago, enrolled him in the Academy and surprised him with it on his 15th birthday. It was also on this day that Mason recieved his first Duel Disk.

Appearance: Mason had messy black hair that he often has spiked up in the front. He is most often seen wearing his Dorm jacket unbuttoned, but sometimes wears it tied around his waist. Underneath the jacket, he wears a white tank-top with a necklace that has his most prized card attatched to it. Before duels, he often shuffles said card into his deck, though not always. He also wears black sneakers. He has cold blue eyes and pale skin.

Personality: Due to his abusive childhood, Mason is very bitter and often acts coldly towards others. He is relatively quiet, usually speaking only during Duels or when someone asks him a question. Mason is also very fond of his Cards, and will physically attack anyone who attempts to damage or even make fun of them. He has a vast knowledge of Duel Monsters and can recognise almost any card by the picture alone. He knows every rule and can be very offensive to anyone who tries to break them or cheat during a duel.

Personality: Rachel is huge brightner. She just has this way of bringing out the cool in others. She can change someone from shy as hell, to one of the most epic guy or girl ever. She's a really great confersation starter and can continue anything that's being talked about.

Age: 15 (Sophomore)
Bio: He was born two months before he was due so his mom spoiled him for his entire life. When He was eight he experienced his first duel, he was enticed by the strategy involved. He spent the next few years trying to master it on his own. He also started to enjoy high-stake duels and thing like that. He soon heard about a school for dueling and how it was supposed to be the top school in the world. He soon enrolled and did great during the writing part of the exam. During the dueling part of the duel he actually toyed with the proctor by not defeating him the several chances he had on purpose. After the duel the proctor asked why he let the duel last so long. He simply responded, “I wanted to see you squirm like a worm.” His first year at duel academy was weird because he didn’t take a single exam serious and only dueled in high stake duels for their decks.

Personality: He enjoys the pain in others and high stakes situations. He also has been known to toy around with people’s minds by playing mind games like giving them false info that most people would think to be true. He also is pretty much a loner because he believes other students aren’t worth his time or effort to even be in his presence. He also believes that he is one of the best duelist of the entire school.

ok got 2 characters with LONG bios no doubt, love going deep in bios (BTW wth happen to my posts?! they're gone... Q_Q)

Name: Nagarei Shindou
Gender: Male
Age: 24 (Teacher)
Bio: He's one of the professors at the Duel academy that teach students about histories and legends of Duel Monsters. While he was off-duty, he's a spiritualist, passed down from his family tradition for generations but not only he believes in Spirits, he had associate with one. Ever since as a child, Nagarei was able to see spirits roaming among the streets passing by his home. However he had come to learn on his own that duel monster spirits come in disguised as humans despite their true selves were in monstrous sizes. He was lead to believe that there were some spirits just want to live peacefully and some want to cause troubles. As he grew older, he live a shrine in a forest, he went deeper in the forest to find herbs for remedies. Instead he came across an unconscious duel monster spirit, a Fenghuang lying on off-shore by the river connected to the coast of sea. After treating Fenghuang's injuries, Fenghuang thanks him but injuries were still heavy that he won't able move as freely in his current form. So Fenghuang transform into a human. As the time passed, Nagarei and Fenghuang kept each other company, Fenghuang confess his reasons for coming to human's world, that the violence continue to grew quite rapidly in Spirit world and he got caught in a lot of fights. They have been living together as best friends, good thing the human transformation can adjust Fenghuang's "age". At this point, Nagarei was able to learn histories and Legends from Fenghuang, so he believe it would be educational to teach student about them as histories and legends.

Instead of that clothing, he'd wear the assumed uniform appropriated for the school but while he's off-duty, he would wear faded teal kimono with sleeves at the end in white.
Personality: Nagarei is calm and gentle but he can still give off vibe of youth as well peaceful atmosphere. He was able to calm people down by to understand their circumstances. When it come to dueling, if it just for fun or competition, he'll remain lax otherwise, he would put on a different face and fight fiercely.
Deck Type: Synchro Fusion Spirit deck (custom). promote extra normal summons (you know why.), contact fusion and Synchro have End phase Spirit effect clauses except 1.

Age: 24 in human form (Teacher Assistant)
Bio: When Fenghuang (Fen) living in the spirit world, everything was peaceful for long time, but things gotten violence. Duel monsters began fighting each other out of angers or rages that come out of nowhere. There had be several some that he was dragged into fights, even though he can fend them off but he was hesitant in fighting in full power. Time passed, same things repeat each day that he grew sick of them. He learned about that he could leave this world and live in the Human world by Duel academy's island. He feel in his gut that there some kind of evil lurking and growing in the spirit world but he doesn't feel he want to be any part of what will happen to it. However, in the midst of his transfer to the human world, he was ambush by flying duel monster spirits but also they were attacking each other. each of them releasing their own attacks, collaborating into explosion which Fen got caught into it before entering to the human world. When he got to the other side, he was conscious, falling off coast in the sea from the Duel academy. A while after he woke off-shore by the river in a forest, been treated by a human boy. He was told that he should be seen by a human nor a human couldn't see him but this human could and it was already too late for him to transform into a human anyway. After Fen been treated for his injuries and thanks the boy, they both exchange name after chatting quite some time, he begin to like the boy due for his gentleness and cares. That when he decided to stay with him as he already felt peaceful at that moment. He transform himself to match that boy's age, then he live together with him. Luckily, with his new friend, they take in people who were lost or stray animals for awhile. As the time passed, he become part of the family then He and Nagarei move to the Duel Academy. Negarei become a professor whereas Fen become an teacher assistant. The life as human certainly intrigue him as he never knew how they live by doing jobs like this. But hearing his friend's goal to move to Duel Academy made him uneasy as it is a place where the duel monster spirits cross over to the human world, so he decide to move with him there by acquring the educations he need for get a job there.

Personality: A spirit who dislike fighting, and loyal to a friend. He is not very talkative except around a specific person, he can be kind and if there a problem arise, he tend to deal with it without involving someone he care about. When he duel he like to go all out but when it come to a serious duel, he will duel like he doesn't have any mercy for the opponent but in the end, dueling is like violence to him so he wouldn't duel much at all.
Ability: When he dies, he able to burn himself into ashes then rise from it to be reborn.
Deck Type: LIGHT and FIRE Deck (custom) Graveyard and field oriented, Heal and burn effects and Xyz summons (if that allowed)
Reason For Coming to the School: Simply to be by Nagarei's side
Dorm: blue obelisk
