[b][i]Miniature Wargaming: [/i][/b][i][b]Miniature wargaming[/b] is a form of [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wargaming"]wargaming[/url] that incorporates [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miniature_figure_(gaming)"]miniature figures[/url], [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miniature_armor"]miniature armor[/url] and modeled terrain as the main components of play. Like other types of wargames, they can be generally considered to be a type of simulation game, generally about [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_tactics"]tactical[/url] combat, as opposed to [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_wargame"]computer[/url] and [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Board_wargame"]board[/url] wargames which have greater variety in scale.[/i]

Commercial products just for miniatures wargamers and awareness as a single community of people with similar interests date back to the 1950s with the efforts of [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Scruby"]Jack Scruby[/url]; major developments in the field since then include the rise in the 1960s and 1970s of fantasy and science fiction wargames as an alternative to games based on historical conflicts, and the emergence of companies like [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Privateer_Press"]Privateer Press[/url], [url="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Games_Workshop"]Games Workshop[/url], Battlefront, Foundry, Warlord Games and many others.[/i][/size][/font][/color]

This is a club made for people on YCM who play and live table top games such as Warhammer Fantasy Battle, Warhammer 40k, Warmachines, Hoardes, and Battletech.

LARPers are accepted as well along with cosplayers.
