✪RION
Both are consider to be pioneers of horror fiction so who's writing would you rather read if you were to chose between the two?
Simping For Hina
Both are very astounding to read and learn from. I cannot deduce who is better than who because I don't have a preference. I can and will read any/all of the stories and have more reason to love their way of writing. I read more Edgar Allen Poe, though.
DARKPLANT RISING
To be honest, I read Poe, and didn't like it much. Lovecraft, on the other hand, ...I just love it.
Tentacruel
I've read more Poe, but I have a preference for Lovecraft.

✪RION
Their styles are too different.
Yes but both write horror fictions and equally change the genre by their works. The question is which would you prefer to read if you have to choose. ~/Coolio Prime\~
I just find it odd, since even within the broad genre they're totally different. Lovecraft was shock, awe, and mysticism while Poe at his finest wrote of societal and personal failings. If I really wanted horror I would prefer Poe, but Lovecraft would be interesting for a science fiction read or something to that extent.
