Popular Video Games you hate?
Shooting, sports, and racing games in general. I play them sometimes, but don't really get into them very much. Apparently according to CoD fanboys, I'm not a real gamer because I don't play CoD, even though I took the time to master most characters in fighting games, complete most side quests in RPGs, and do reasonably well at most RTS games.
CoD fans think that you suck if you don't like Call of Duty.
Thanks for reminding me that the only thing I liked about that series were the Gummy Ships :3
The Gummie Ships was one of the worst parts of the original game, and was considerably improved in KH2, not that it became the best part of the game.

Oh boy the hipster topic of video games.
There's a difference between disliking a game that's popular, and disliking a game BECAUSE it's popular. Which I'm sure a lot of these people are.

On topic though, Megaman. The entire series. I don't hate them, I've just never been much of a fan. Then again I've only really played most of the early ones, and I think one on N64 or something. I wasn't horrible at them, but I couldn't get through the final level either. But honestly, I didn't like it enough to keep trying. I could probably beat it if I kept at it.

On another note, most fighting games and FPS games. I don't hate them, I'm just not good at them. (I actually do like some of them, but I never claimed to be good at them.)

Apparently no one since they all play Minecraft now.

Which I suppose you can add to my list of hates, if it even counts as a game, since it barely even resembles one.

Put simply, games I play have an actual goal, so to speak. I understand the generic argument back is always "Building X", but creation games just aren't my taste. Naturally, I have no intent of finding out if Minecraft's actually any more than that.

And I really don't see the appeal in playing with blocks.

I see.
I actually respect this opinion because it actually explains itself rather than go "UUUUUGGGH ITS BAD GRAPHICS ETC ETC".

Oh, I never really liked GTA much. I have to say though, I actually have never bought one of them. Nor have I played the Story mode on any, which is apparently the best part. I might get IV or V when it's released, or I might get San Andreas on PC eventually because that Multiplayer mod.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask: Retarded as hell story. 90% of it is through unexplained sidequests. The game itself is too short without sidequests. Masks where a stupid idea. Losing all your items when you put back time is retarded, why couldn't link do this in the previous game? Huh? lolgic.
How is the story retarded? The whole plot is amazing. It's compelling and emotional and makes for a much more deep rooted attachment than the game before it, imo. The game itself is short, but makes up for that in replay value. It definitely is not made up of 90% sidequests, though. Masks were an amazing idea, a gameplay changer. You needed the masks to get through certain parts, and the masks helped you understand the story and characters much better. And losing your items when you go back in time makes perfect sense. If you were come across a $5 bill on the ground, and then you went back in time 5 minutes, you wouldn't still have that $5 bill, because you never came across it in the first place. The game itself says that the time mechanic wasn't implemented in the last game simply because there was no need for it. There's a reason in game that states why he was allowed to travel back in time through Song of Time in MM and why he didn't in OOT.

Ohbtw I also hate Portal. well, not hate. But it's nothing special
How is it nothing special? Like, seriously, tell me how it is nothing special, and tell me other games that implement it's gameplay? I would honestly like to know.

I don't really hate any games, but I dislike CoD, Megaman, and Sonic. Just not my cups of tea.

CoD is my pet hate. Mainly because the game summed up is:

1. See person.
2. Shoot them.
3. Reload after a while.
4. Repeat.

In fact, I could safely say there hasn't been a truly amazing war-based first-person shooter ever. They're all the same, so until someone figures out an original twist, not ever touching the genre.

TF2 is different from COD/BF3 etc.

Quite the team oriented game, that is. You HAVE to play smart.

Yes, even the Pyro. I'm going to get flamed for this.

Degreaser + Reserve Shooter + Axtinguisher
You where saying?

TF2 is incomparable really. So I'm perfectly fine with it. Its graphics aren't awkwardly generic like war FPS games, and has a really unique battle system actually. Not to mention it's predominantly free, which is a great bonus from such a good game.

Reason I hate War FPS genre games is because it's impossible to make it unique in any way ._.

Nazi Zombies was just a zombie shooter thing, so literally no creativity there. Just make the zombies Nazis and they are suddenly unique.

And if you like those storylines, then I suggest reading the news. Real-life politics is much more hilarious than CoD stuff.

tbh, Black Ops had at least a somewhat interesting story in comparison with its peers.

Of course it has nothing on other games.

Black Ops' plot was decent. Ish :3

And is it just me or are the CoD games' graphics actually kinda bad ._.

Because I never bought Modern Warfare 2, but saw others play it. The graphics looked horrible.

From someone who ONCE owned MW2, I can say that it was pretty average, as far as graphics went. Some of the sets looked good, but various other things looked sub-par. They weren't horrible, but they weren't amazing by any means. I played it on a quite large 1080p HDTV as well, if that tells you anything. It was a pretty damn nice TV, so I definitely got whatever the graphics offered.
