For some, they aren't.
To begin life in Middle School is just another obstacle is life. For some, they want to make friends. For others, they want to excel in their studies and have greater futures. Some, just say they have no choice.
But either way they're in school and that's all that matters. To make a long story short, you have graduated from elementary school and are now in middle school. So enjoy, or hate, whatever suits you.
Remember, the end of elementary school is the beginning of middle school. I probably said that nine thousand times.

Today, or toyear, or... whatever, is the very first year, and term, of this school. Since this is a bonding term, lessons and homework are not as tedious as next term, which will be the start of what many call 'doomsday', full of tests, assignments and stress. This term is a chance to befriend fellow peers and join respective clubs. This is the term clubs will have numerous outings, but definitely not competitions. At the end of the term, there will be a scheduled camping trip. After that, its time for a week's worth of holidays, not just for playing, but preparing for a tedious afterterm...

Appearance: Touko's long, wavy pink hair reaches down to her waist. Her soft, luminous eyes are a charming yet unmatching red and blue. Her skin is fair, like 'gaijin'. She is slim and curveless, which makes people wonder if she's actually thirteen.
History: Touko had an extremely sad history. It started at the age of four when her parents started to grow apart. When she was just seven, her parents were divorced and ever since then, she had been living with her single father. While you would expect her history to cause her to be emotionally scarred for life, she actually doesn't hate life and believes that one day, something good will happen.
Noteworthy talents/skills: Excellent mathematical skills. She can also pick up various skills from others
Weaknesses: She is a scatterbrain who forgets with ease, and is rather clumsy, a weakness to be made fun of.

He enjoys doing it, though he tries to let others get good parts in plays also. He is an okay student, and excells in Music and Art.

It turned out he was really good at it. He now owns his own computer, and tries to make the best of life, seeing that his family got it.

Personality: Katrina is generally hard to describe by others. Mostly, she isloates herself from others, tending to stay in corners or edges of rooms. Such behavior would be typical of one with a shy and quiet attitude. However, Katrina is anything BUT quiet!
She is often loud, and slightly smug when she gets something right. On occasion, she is known to be sarcastic, always placing a stupid accent upon it to emphasize her sarcastic point.
But she is mostly a nice person, despite being somewhat 'dim' in terms of what she knows.
Appearance: Katrina is a tall and slender girl, of average weight. Her skin tone is fairly tanned, due to may hours in the sun. Her hair is naturally blond, but had been dyed a deep black as to fit in more with other kids. It reaches around her waist, and has purple steaks running through it.
Her eyes are a bright vivid blue, but are always shadowed by grief.
Her clothes are just a shirt, jeans and sneakers. She doesn't care much.
History: Katrina, in her early years, lived a fairly normal life. She was born in Perth, Australia, but disliked the sun and perferred the coolness of winter. She did her work as bid, and, unlike others, enjoyed her homework and tried to do it to higher standards, getting her a few schoolwork awards.
Just when she had graduated from primary school, her father got a contract for a job in Japan. Her mother and Katrina stayed in Oz whilst her father went to, as far as Katrina ws concerned, the other side of the world.
When Katrina was 13, her mother fell ill and passed away. With no other relatives willing to take her, she flew to Japan, and began school there.

History: Zac was born in the United States to Marine parents. However, soon after his birth, his parents decided that Zac could train better in Japan, so they moved. He nearly never was without at least five dogs. He was trained by his father, who wanted a son who excelled in sports and academics, from a young age. He and his father went on many training excursions, such as rock climbing, hiking, cross-country running (they would run at least twelve miles a day) and swimming (and they even wrestled a few sharks).

Aria has always been strict, and can be a bit rough on the discipline side of things, but as long as one follows her rules closely and to the best of their ability, that person will have nothing to fear from her. Sightings of her being angry aren't uncommon though.

History: Aria has been teaching gym classes for the last 8 years... that's a long time for someone her age. Recently though, she's moved to Japan, having flown there all the way from Africa, and is currently teaching in this high school because she was offered a job here. However, she never [i]did[/i] have a lot of money at any stage of her life, and still has problems dealing with the banks and paying her debts. Then again, how can she? Aria was lucky to have a roof over her head in the first place, let alone one large enough to house her five children. And now she's been constantly threatened to have it taken away from her again. That's what's been pissing her off lately, and perhaps that might explain why she's a little rough on the students.
