UnmagicMushroom Posted October 24, 2011 Report Share Posted October 24, 2011 (oh no this is my first post - hope I did everything right - no pressure! hehe) While my internet has been down for the past week and a bit, I decided to try to invent some original/interesting cards that I've kind of had in my head for a while, but (until I came across this forum) have had no reason to record them in any way. I call these "Transmuting" monsters because they have no permanent Attribute and tend to change Attribute when Summoned and at the End Phase of your turn. Although their Attribute isn't permanent, each monster still has an "assigned Attribute" for the sake or argument - if that makes sense. Too, I'm a little bit out of date with the new Yu-Gi-Oh! language phrases, but I've tried my best to catch up. Also, I think I can be quite wordy sometimes. Any corrections/suggestions in that are would be appreciated - oh, and for additional ideas too. I haven't come up with a completely full concept of a BIG IDEA for these monsters yet, but it's a work in progress. This is what I've come up with so far: (How on earth do you make those awesome little tab-thingies to hide and show things??!!) Transmuting Elementalist #1 (FIRE) *** [Spellcaster/Effect] When this card is successfully Summoned, choose whether to treat this card as a FIRE or LIGHT monster. Activate 1 of the following effects according to what Attribute this card is treated as:[list] [*]FIRE: This card inflicts piercing damage. [*]LIGHT: When this card attacks an opponent’s Set monster, this card cannot be targeted by the Set monster's effect. [/list] At the End Phase of your turn, change the Attribute that this card is treated as. ATK/1000 DEF/1000 Transmuting Elementalist #2 (EARTH) *** [Spellcaster/Effect] When this card is successfully Summoned, choose whether to treat this card as a EARTH or WATER monster. Activate 1 of the following effects according to what Attribute this card is treated as:[list] [*]EARTH: Increase this card’s ATK by 500 points. [*]WATER: Increase your Life Points by 800 points during your Standby Phase. [/list] At the End Phase of your turn, change the Attribute that this card is treated as. ATK/1000 DEF/1000 Transmuting Elementalist #3 (WIND) *** [Spellcaster/Effect] When this card is successfully Summoned, choose whether to treat this card as a DARK or WIND monster. Activate 1 of the following effects according to what Attribute this card is treated as:[list] [*]DARK: [haven't though of anything yet] [*]WIND: This card can attack twice in the same Battle Phase. [/list] At the End Phase of your turn, change the Attribute that this card is treated as. ATK/1000 DEF/1000 Transmuting Ultimate Elementalist (LIGHT) ********* [Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect] Transmuting Elementalist #1 + Transmuting Elementalist #2 + Transmuting Elementalist #3 This card cannot be summoned except by a Fusion Summon by offering the above Fusion Material Monsters as a Tribute ("Polymerization" is not used in this Fusion Summon). When this card is successfully Summoned, choose whether to treat this card as a DARK, EARTH, FIRE, LIGHT, WATER or WIND monster. As long as the above Fusion Material Monsters are in your Graveyard, their effects can be treated as this card’s effect according to what Attribute this card is treated as. At the End Phase of your turn, change the Attribute that this card is treated as. ATK/3000 DEF/3000 Transmuting Gemini Soldier (EARTH) **** [Warrior/Effect] When this card is successfully Summoned, choose whether to treat this card as a DARK, EARTH, FIRE, LIGHT, WATER or WIND monster. If you Tribute Summon a monster of the same Attribute as this card is treated as, you can treat this 1 monster as 2 Tribute Monsters for the Tribute Summon. At the End Phase of your turn, change the Attribute that this card is treated as. ATK/1400 DEF/1500 ^this is pretty much an adaptable version of "Double Costin", "Kiaser Sea Horse" etc. Transmuting Turtle (EARTH) **** [Beast/Effect] When this card is successfully Summoned, choose whether to treat this card as a DARK, EARTH, FIRE, LIGHT, WATER or WIND monster. When this card is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can Special Summon 1 monster with “Transmuting” in its name with an ATK of 1500 or less from your Deck. Then shuffle your Deck. At the End Phase of your turn, change the Attribute that this card is treated as. ATK/1400 DEF/1200 ^this is pretty much an adapted version of "UFO Turtle", "Pyramid Turtle", "Mother Grizzly" etc. Transmuting Legendary Creature of the Sky (WIND) ********* [Winged-Beast/Effect] Tribute Summon this monster by offering 1 LIGHT and 2 WIND monsters as a Tribute. When this card is successfully Summoned, choose whether to treat this card as a LIGHT or WIND monster. When this card destroys a Defense Position monster, inflict damage to the card owner’s Life Points equal to the level of the monster x100. This card can attack again in your Battle Phase when this card destroys a Defense Position monster, but cannot attack your opponent directly. At the End Phase of your turn, change the Attribute that this card is treated as. ATK/2900 DEF/3300 ^high level monsters will specify how many monster of what Attribute is required for their Tribute Summon...can be made easier with "Transmuting Gemini Soldier" depending on what is required. Transmuting Single-Celled Organism (WATER) [indent=4]*[/indent] [Aqua/Effect] Select one face-up monster on the field when this card is successfully Summoned. Treat this card as having the same Attribute, Level, Type, ATK and DEF as the selected monster. ATK/0 DEF/0 ^this is pretty much an exception to the general rule of Transmuting monsters. This is really a more extreme version of "Copycat". Yup, that's all I've though of so far. Comments? Feedback? Let's have it! Thanks for looking =D Link to comment
