Grand Spiral Bout (SPOILERS FOR TTGL)(Very mild language/sexuality)(Up to Chapter 1)

All across the universe, there is a great uproar: finally, the Grand Spiral Bout had begun! With Spiral Warriors all across the universe preparing to head to Earth to participate, we shall focus on just one for now: Ramone, the Spiral Warrior of Earth.

 

 

Chapter 1: Ramone, the Hurricane! Show Your True Power!

 

“…Again, Dayana!”

“But Ramone, you can’t! You’re nearly out of energy!”

“I can’t stop until I can release my Spiral tech!”

See the scene: a mini Ganmen, the norm for a Spiral Warrior. A large crater, with large boulders scattered all around. A large Ganmen standing on the edge, with the purpose of throwing the boulders at the mini Ganmen. This is a normal event for Ramone Deschane, the chosen Warrior of Earth. Dayana Ritona is his partner, an accomplished Spiral Warrior in her own rite, being the descendent of a great Spiral Warrior, Yoko Ritona. Ramone’s Ganmen, Jull, and Dayana’s Ganmen, Lazenn, are the entries representing Earth in the Grand Spiral Bout, which Earth had retained the right to host after making second place in the last Spiral Bout 15 years ago.

“Ramone, you need to stop for now! You could be killed at this rate!” said Dayana, getting out of Lazenn and removing her Core Drill. The Core Drill is the key to running a Ganmen. Without it, a Ganmen cannot run.

“…Fine. Let’s stop for now,” said Ramone, getting out of Jull and removing his Core Drill. “We’ll continue tomorrow, after a good meal.”

The scene changes: the crater becomes a white room. The two Ganmen hooked up to devices that measured the output of their pilot’s Spiral Energy. The previous scene had been nothing but a training program, designed by Ramone to try and unleash his Spiral technique. It was quite amazing that Ramone won the right to be Earth’s Spiral Warrior without even having access to his techniques, outside of small drills and his Jull Impact, which allows Jull to combine with larger Ganmen. If he wants to survive his first fight, he will have to unleash his special technique before the Bout officially starts in a week.

“Come on, Ramone. Let’s head to the mess. Maybe they will have pig-steak this time!” said Dayana, removing her jump suit to reveal casual clothes: black shorts with a white tank top. Being a female of the Ritona clan, she was… ahem… well endowed, was of medium height, and had a trim frame befitting the training she undertook being a Spiral Warrior. Her hair was long, a shade of red that resembled fire. A positively ancient hair clip, which looked like a skull, kept her hair out of her face while she fought. She took it out, and her hair fell, obscuring her left eye.

“Yeah…” said Ramone absentmindedly, as he also removed his jump suit. Underneath his was the proof that he was the Warrior for Earth: a vest that showed the legendary Gurren Brigade’s emblem: a skull with giant pointed sunglasses on flames of red. He had a black shirt that zipped up underneath, and long black pants. He was built similarly to Dayana, minus the obvious, although he was slightly taller. His hair was a dark shade of green, and he wore his Core Drill around his neck like a pendent. He received Jull and his Core Drill when he was very young, and they had never left his side for long. He even slept inside Jull.

“Ramone? Are you ok?” asked Dayana.

“…Huh?” said Ramone, snapping back to reality. “Uh, yeah. Let’s go!”

“I’ve got to stop doing that every time she takes off her jump suit…” thought Ramone, shaking his head clean of his… er… impure thoughts. The two headed towards the mess hall. Food was important to keeping Spiral Energy up. Eating is boring, so let’s skip ahead to tomorrow, shall we?

 

 

“Jull, Spin On!” yelled Ramone, as he inserted his Core Drill into his Ganmen and turned it like a key. Jull’s energy gage showed a strong reading for Ramone: he had eaten well, and slept restlessly. Instantly, the scene changed back to the crater, but it was suddenly shaken back to reality.

 

“ALERT! ALERT! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! ALERT! ALERT…”

 

“Damn, why now?” cursed Ramone, as unhooked Jull from the devices and removed his Core Drill. Dayana did the same to Lazenn.

“Ramone, I’m patching you through to the Capitan,” said Dayana through the intercom. A screen appeared on the viewer of Jull.

“Ramone, we seem to be under attack by rouge Beastmen piloting Ganmen,” said the Capitan, a man by the name of Viral. He is a Beastman who almost won the Spiral Bout 15 years ago. He is an immortal who was granted a body that would never tire by Lord Genome, the old Helix King of Earth. He is also the only known Beastman that can use Spiral Energy. “It’s surprising that there are remaining Beastmen who are well enough to pilot Ganmen, but that’s besides the point. Combine with Lazenn and sortie.”

“Right,” said Ramone, a bit uneasily. He really didn’t want to fight again without unleashing his Spiral technique. He shook the thoughts out of his head. One had to focus to use Spiral Energy. He closed the intercom and reinserted his Core Drill. “Jull, SPIN ON!!!”

Jull flew into the air, and created a large drill in the place of its legs. It slammed into the top of Lazenn, and started to fuse.

“Whether Beastmen or Spiral Warrior, we will defeat them all!” screamed Ramone.

“Our union will destroy all obstacles!” screamed Dayana in response. Jull had successfully combined with Lazenn.

“If there isn’t a way to grasp victory, we’ll create one with our own will!”

“If every light in the sky is an enemy, we will cut through them all with our might!”

“The perfect union-

“-of two Spirals!”

“Lazenn-“

“-JULL!”

Lazenn-Jull extended 4 drills out of its back and attached to a flight device. The hatch door opened up, and dark space gave way to explosions. The fight had already started.

“Alright, Dayana, let’s go!” said Ramone, gripping the controls tightly.

“Right! Lazenn-Jull, launch!” said Dayana, gripping her controls. Lazenn-Jull rocketed into space, and created 2 drills on each hand. It flew towards 1 of the Ganmen, and sliced it to ribbons. It exploded, and 2 other Ganmen approached Lazenn-Jull.

“Bah, stupid Spirals! Think that they are so superior to others! We’ll show them, guys!” said one of the Beastmen, grabbing a sword from its back. It clashed with Lazenn-Jull’s drills, and the other Ganmen did the same. Lazenn-Jull was bound by its own drills!

“Damn, this isn’t good!” said Ramone, his displays going crazy. His Spiral Gage started to drop.

“Don’t give up, Ramone! If you do, we’re already dead! Now’s your chance to unleash your-AH!” screamed Dayana. A sword had slashed at Dayana’s cockpit, and it caused her controls to short out, as well as her intercom.

“Dayana!” screamed Ramone. “How dare you, you furry fiends*! Take this!” Lazenn-Jull twisted his wrists and broke both of the attacking Ganmen’s swords. “This is it! It’s time for my Spiral technique!” Lazenn-Jull created drills all over its body, and it started to bleed Spiral Energy!

“OMEGA!” All the drills on Lazenn-Jull’s body shrank back into its body.

“SPIRAL!” 2 giant drills appeared in place of Lazenn-Jull’s arms.

“HURRICANE!” Lazenn-Jull started to spin like a top. The violent force of the vortex drew in the rest of the Ganmen. The Ganmen all started to be crushed by the vortex. Suddenly, Lazenn-Jull stopped. The drills shrank back into its body, and the Ganmen all exploded.

“Finally… my own Spiral technique…” gasped Ramone, letting go of his tight grip.

“Wow…” said Dayana. She had spent the time that Ramone had taken to destroy the Ganmen to reestablish communication. “That’s some technique. Almost as good as mine! Of course, it isn’t quite as powerful, but it sure is flashy…”

“Hey, shut up!” snapped Ramone. “I didn’t ask for a critique!”

Dayana laughed, and said, “Yeah, yeah… Let’s head back to the ship.”

“Yeah…” said Ramone, turning around and flying back towards the Cathedral Terra, the flagship of the Earth Spiral Fleet. With the Moon in the background, it was time to start the final preparations for the Grand Spiral Bout.

Anyway, this is my first run into the world of fan fics. As I get better, I might come back and edit my older chapters.
