Developous
The idea behind the legends contest is to make a set of 20 or more cards, but provide a storyline about them on this post. There are a few laws: (1) The plotline must deal with a legendry hero. He is the star character of the plotline. (2) Only the hero can have 7 or more stars. Normal monsters can only have up to 4 as well, but boss/leader monsters can have up to 6 stars. (3) The cards must be realistic, and you must provide a link to those cards, or post them here course. (4) You must use at least 1 of every element and as varied in types as possible. further, only leader cards can have effects that alter cards other than himself. (5) Magics and traps must be involved with either the hero or the bosses. Further, each boss can only have ONE magic and trap that relates to it in some way. Leaders cannot have m/t's involved with themselves. (6) The cards cannot be based on anything that presenty exists, but they dont need to be original either. Good luck! Once 5 have joined, you will have 2 weeks to prepare the set. How to win: Now, anybody that joins cannot vote. Its that simple. Voting consists of 10 points, the one with the highest score wins. People MUST judge not only the cards, but the plotline as well, each one individually. Further, another 5 pts is added to this figure for the culmination of both. I will judge as well, but with a twist, allowing TRIPLE these values, so make it count. Bonuses: * - happens every round * - You can, only during judging, duel others with the made cards along with the normal cards. However, the deck must relate to the cards created. Each person you beat grants 20 pts, but a tie gives 5 pts to both. Holoweeen Advent: Just by making your set deal with holoween, undeads, or equivalent... thats worth 100 points! Journeyman Boost: In this contest, you are allowed to make 3 field cards in additon to the usual. If you plot deals with a journey, thats worth a bonus 100 points as well. Limitation Aura: If your monster cards have no more than 20% of them as bosses/leaders in total, you will gain 30% more points than usual.

Koshej
Ehm... As far as I understand, "Realistic" is generally referring to the EFFECTS/PLAYABILITY of the cards, right??? I mean, the PICTURES are DRAWN (aka CARTOONISH) anyways. Cause I'd like to make an Anime-based set for this contest. Also, covering ALL Yugioh TYPES is close to impossible in less than 22 cards AND is way boring... And multi-Typing is weird and UN-Realistic... So, you should rephrase the contest. Maybe, you meant "types" as in Monster/Trap/Spell or in Normal/Effect/Tuner/Synchro...??? Also, the better task would be to "be as varied in Types as possible" rather than "cover ALL of them". Don't know... Please answer ASAP. Also, I make cards very fast, but I need inspiration for it, so I could make a long pause... Anyways, I'm in.
Developous
Types as in Machine/Warrior/Syncro.... Yes, they can be anime like... but I am a purist. The standards for REAL... are the the standards in the corresponding forum. But the cards themselves can be based on fantasies and such... Reminds me, another law: Must not be based on anything that already exists. This doesn't mean it needs to be original.... just not things like cards based on shows, animes etc... Also... i said: "Or more"... you could have 200 cards given the time and willingness... likely impossible seeing its 2 weeks, but hay, you could try... Agreed, as varried as possible. Also, no reservations, no limits in players, Just the timeline is a consideration. And as for the prize... sorry, no prize. But gambling is allowed. Koshej
OK. Though Warrior (Type) and Synchro (Monster Card "kind"???) aren't the same category... My cards will be based on pics from Fallensword - it has a HUGE variety of units of all kinds. Can't promise, but I'll try to cover ALL Types AND ALL "kinds", thus making it: 22 Types (Dragon, Warrior, etc.) 10 Monster kinds (Normal, Effect, Toon, Tuner, Gemini, Fusion, Ritual, Union, Synchro, Spirit) (no XYZ or Dark Synchro, cause I'll make them with YugiohMaker ONLY) 3 Trap Card kinds (Normal, Continuous, Counter) 6 Spell Card kinds (Normal, Continuous, Quick-Play, Equip, Field, Ritual) TOTAL = 41, but minimum is 31. Developous
ah, k./ Gl. Actually.... M/T types dont count. Its based on monsters, so that reduces the necesitty by 9 cards. Thus, you could forego m/ts alltogether if you wished it.. BUT... Seeing how you need Ritual monsters... I am certain you will have at least ONE magic - duh. Developous
Nice... those will work great. Preliminary Scores from me: Cards - 26 pts. Storyline - 28 pts. Both - 12 pts. = 56 pts from me. (I get 3x scoring...)
Koshej
Did you (right-)click on any? It'll open the Fallensword original page of that creature. I might have some trouble with Spell cards though. Or not, if I'm smart enough... EDIT: What??? What are these points about anyways - and does it mean it's great / good / medium / poor??? Developous
Read the scoring system, higher is better, there is even bonuses for theming the sets. Each round of this will... have varying such bonuses. The highest score wins... but keep in mind that each version will have a new permanent option, and players will have the option to actually spend those pts in varying ways eventually... though spent points will cost you potential winnings. Winners even get a bonus. Anyone that has won already has the option to vote with double the basic limits.
Koshej
Ooook... Let's just leave the voting to the voters. I just made the first CARD - the HERO! More coming tomorrow or next week, most probably... Also, the TROOPS will be aligned with the respective BOSSES, Fallensword is PERFECT for finding similar creatures. Also, do you think I can use those descriptions as bases for the story??? Would make it a bit easier - and somewhat predictable.
Developous
Yes, thats legal. But remember, the cards and plot themselves cannot be related to anything thats based on something.
