Discuss the series created after the reception of their pilot episode, Ancient Aliens: Chariots of the Gods... Here is their pilot episode: Chariots, Gods, and Beyond. Keep in mind although the video says otherwise, this was their pilot episode before the series... Nɇvɇrmorɇ
I love this show. I find my favorite thing about it is how far fetched the ideas are, and yet they still make a lot of sense. It actually got me so interested I went out and bought "Chariots of the Gods"

Nu-Mou Knight
hey guys remember when the history channel was actually about legitimate history? neither do i : D
They actually do discuss real history. Though Modern Marvel reruns are annoying since they show then 60% of the time, nevermind the silly reality shows, there are enough "legit" historical shows for you if you want to find them. Events leading up to and following the Lincoln and Kennedy assassinations, stories of groups/soldiers in the Civil and World Wars, expansive looks at the life of the President and other high governmental figures, etc. If you think they're pushing "theoretical history", then you're either watching on the wrong nights (they do show previous weeks' eps of AA before the new one, and other ET-related shows through that day) or you're just looking for it. OT: AAs are great, even though some are relatively far-fetched. UFO Hunters is slightly better I think, since they actually conduct studies to see if the evidence could/does exist. It's still entertaining in a "what if" sense, though, and most episodes could make fairly good sense. The Giza Pyramids and Nazca Lines eps are my favorites, especially considering that those structures didn't seem to serve a real, sensible purpose, and can't realistically have been made how they were by these people with little or no technology. We're expected to believe that the Egyptians built a huge, exacted Pyramid by dragging bricks up a ramp for decades upon decades? I think not. You may think it is theoretical but I believe it is fact... History channel gives us a chance to believe any side of what happens in history so that we can decide for ourselves what happened... These "Theoretical shows" you spout about give the audience another side of the story so they have more choices and can make a more informed decision... Sleepy
My favorite show of that channel. Though the latest one I saw seemed to not be as well made. Like they just rushed conclutions and arbitrarily placed the "Aliens" seal on it, grabbing stuff from a part of the world, then abruptly jumping to another part of the world just for a side note. Other than that, Pretty good show. I'm on the opposite side, I like this better than UFO Hunters. UFO Hunters might conduct experiments, but some people they talk too might not always be very reliable sources (particularly in the cases when they witness the events alone). Also, AA does some research studies too.
