I never said he could, but since his spirit is a different entity altogether, I decided to control him externally from Shinji, without him noticing. Blake is the only one who can see Celestrian spirits, as explained in his app.Shinji's "ability" is the Persona curse, which basically means his personality is becoming binded with that of his Starknight.
