CrystalCyae
Vulpix fluffed her seven tails, a little miffed. Just because she walked from a bush didn't mean she had to be attacked. She could sort of understand where the Absol came from by attacking, but in any case, she preferred they wait. As her attitude demanded. The Absol and Ralts then left, heading in the general direction of the village. She gently drew circles in the dirt with her paw, weighing her options. Either follow the Absol and Ralts, or continue to her hidey-hole. Or go to the village. The latter of which she could do, but not without food in her belly, or a friend by her side. Her little alcove was always empty, and only a full belly or a friend could fix that. Continuing to her hidey-hole was what she intended. But she was bored. Despite it being dangerous out far from the village, at least to her, she wanted something better. Conversation, probably. She wasn't sure. Making up her mind, she turned to the south, intending to follow the Absol and Ralts indirectly. Wouldn't be too hard. She was already a hunter in terms of this forest. She knew the nooks and crannies. Hiding would be a cinch. ************************* A few minutes or so later, she found herself once again in the vicinity of the Absol and Ralts. Except the Ralts wasn't there. The Absol was hollering down the cliff, and even Vulpix could work out what was going on. Moving around, still out of Absol's line of sight, she crept to the edge of the cliff and peered over, and assumed the course of events. The Ralts had fallen. A Lapras and it's passenger had saved it. Simple enough for even Vulpix to understand. She shrugged her shoulders. Not much she could do, anyway. She considered going back to her hidey-hole, for one of her Lum Berries, but she couldn't be bothered now. She'd walked too far off track for it today. evilfusion
"What'd you say?" Glaceon demanded, shooting the Sneasel a look bordering on suspicious and indignant. She didn't care much for being interrupted, since the Nidoran had addressed her first, and for the most part, she never liked the Sneasel much. He never seemed bothered by her snow dens, occasionally taking some for his own den without having the courtesy to ask her permission, and he was generally company ill-befitting of her tastes. Their social relationship was at best tenuous, and Glaceon rarely graced him with her attention. That wasn't to say she completely ignored him if he said something inflammatory. Agro
Solo looked down at Rolly, who had landed safely with the Meditite upon the Lapras's shell. Rolly had shaken the Meditite's hand and was obviously introducing himself to his saviors. Within a second, all three were looking up at him, apparently Rolly was introducing him too. "Solo! There's a beach to the west of here, we'll meet up with you there." Solo nodded, though not quite sure if Rolly could see him and turned parallel to the cliff to begin heading west. It was then that he picked up a scent in the air. It was a hot one, he couldn't quite tell what exactly. Then it hit him, it was the scent he'd smelled when the Vulpix had appeared back at the incident with the Eevee. He scanned the bushes to his left, knowing it had to be hiding somewhere there. For some reason it had followed them. Solo shook off the intimidating feeling. He'd learned since he first awoke on the island that he was different. Apparently no one had ever ran into an Absol before, and honestly, neither had he. But whatever the Vulpix's reason for following them, it didn't matter, Solo needed to meet up with Rolly anyway. So he started off west. Rolly lay down on the hard shell of the Lapras and sighed. "Oh that was a close one." He rolled over to face the meditating Meditite and the head of the Lapras. "So, you can swim, does that mean you came from somewhere else?"
Jolta
"He's sleep deprived... interesting... I should help in every way I can some time..." Being an evolved form of Eevee, Jolteon felt that the young Eevee could be his friend. "Maybe later," he muttered before scampering off, so as not to disrupt his sleep. However, he continued to use Charge Beam on the trees, getting his berries. In a matter of time, he was at the beach. He then waded into the waters, grabbed the fishiong rod on his back before throwing it in, waiting to reel in a fish. He was quite far from the crowd. He looked beside, the same people, a Lapras, and Vulpix. "Fate, fate, so much fate on this small world..." he muttered under his breath. Jolteon simply continued fishing, ready with a second basket. Hydra of Ages
Ah, the sneasel- yet another that Nidoran had been cautious to avoid until now. The other ice type living in village, and no less disagreeable than Glaceon herself, Sneasel was less the type of jerk that Nidoran could use to her own purposes and more the type of jerk that complicated anything she tried to do- the sort that actively hated any sort of co-operation or socialization in general, and simply wanted to see the world in chaos for their own amusement. Nidoran had to admit that the fact he was a predatory species also soured her opinion of the dark-type; there was a primal sort of dislike, an ingrained tendency to enjoy not being around him. She'd associate with predators of all kinds, of course, but that was because they were typically big, strong creatures able to protect her from harm with their very presence; Sneasel were weedy, tricky things that broke like glass if you hit them hard enough. They worked through deception and trickery- there was nothing to gain from associating with one. They'd simply use you for their own ends, and when it was convenient for them, leave you alone in the stormy tundra to die. In a word, they were far too similar to Nidoran herself for her to be comfortable around them in any capacity. Still, Glaceon didn't appear to like him either, for whatever her reasons were. A common enemy was a valid method of bonding- as always, Nidoran liked to turn bad situations to her advantage. "I don't believe either of us spoke to you, Sneasel," she responded in a voice that spoke of her patience drawing short. It wasn't terribly difficult to fake being irritated at one who legitimately irritated you after all.
evilfusion
Glaceon stifled a snicker at the Nidoran's comment. So, the poison rabbit didn't seem too amused by Sneeze's interruption, either. That was good; the more people who shared her opinion, the less chance of an argument. Then again, she could just be faking support as a means of sucking up, in hope that Glaceon would do her the favor or whatever that had prompted her to approach in the first place. She made a mental note of the suspicion, but otherwise didn't dwell on it, taking another bite from the berry she was currently eating. It would be best to dismiss the Sneasel's presence to focus on the topic at hand.
GreyCat
"It's a free island," Sneeze smirked. "And what kind of neighbor would I be if I didn't pop out to say good morning to you." He paused, made a show of mulling it over, rested his head on folded arms propped on the lip of his entrance then commented. "Not that the morning is all that good. I'm more of an overcast and stormy day kinda pokemon. A bit of rain, bleaky sky, colder temp, wind, the works. A bit of snow would be nice too. NOthing quite like the real deal or even the pitter patter sound of rain on the roof of your shelter." He gave them a wide smile Reaching down into his pad, he plucked another icicle from his storage corner. Stretching out with one hand while still resting his chin on the other, he held it out toward Nidoran with a cheerful look on his face, one that still somehow managed to look smug. "Berry pop?" he offered "They're filled with sweet fruity goodness."
Hydra of Ages
"No, thanks," she said blandly to the Sneasel's offer. She was acutely aware of the the food both the ice types had stored up, but tried her best not to seem like she did; it would do her no good to seem like she was begging for food after all. She wasn't even hungry, really, but her gluttonous tendencies got the better of her more than she strictly would have liked. "In any case Glaceon, I just came by to see how you were fairing. There aren't a terrible lot of competent pokemon on this island, so I figured it would be worth getting to know one of the other ones; after all, we'll probably have to work together if we ever want to survive," she said, keeping up her cheery tone. She chose her words carefully, trying to seem flattery if not quite yet trading in her sense of equality with the one she spoke with. Appealing to her sense of teamwork likely wasn't a particularly intelligent idea, but a strike at her ego and sense of self-preservation would likely balance it out. And if that didn't work, well, Nidoran had other options. Granted, working with a female was a good deal more difficult than working with a male because it often eliminated straight sex appeal from her repertoire, but even with that handicap there were multiple ways to assail a situation. Of course, for the love of her she still couldn't remember how she knew half of these tactics, or what else she forgot anyway, but she planned to put her skills to the test... even if she couldn't remember having ever tested her skills in the first place. Tsk. That memory loss was becoming a straight nuisance far quicker than she imagined it would,
evilfusion
"Mhm hm," Glaceon remarked lazily of Sneeze's monologue. Was it really not clear to the Sneasel that HIS interests and joys were secondary to HER interests? She liked snow too, but that was obviously why she covered the ground in it before sleeping. If he didn't like the morning, too bad, she did. "I'm faring excellently, as mentioned before," Glaceon said, delighted to leave the dark type behind to resume the conversation with Nidoran, and unable to hide her pleasure from making its mark on her facial expression. Being called competent and designating her as one of few was enough to make her feel pleasantly cool inside. The fact Nidoran was implying she herself was also a competent Pokemon did not lessen the compliment, so Glaceon did not argue. She considered a moment, recognizing the opening to make a comment of her own. How could the offer improve her situation? Survival hadn't been very difficult. As far back as she could remember, Glaceon hadn't had any problems finding food or shelter. But she did have trouble 'cooperating' with others. They always wanted her to 'contribute' and wouldn't lift a paw to improve her specific situation. So why did she have to help them? "I don't know," she said finally. "How would you be able to help me survive? I don't want some leech living off my life."
CrystalCyae
Vulpix caught the Absol staring in her general direction mere seconds or so after he had called down to the Ralts, down on he Lapras far below. She caught her breath and squished herself slightly into the ground, limiting what would be seen by the Absol. After a moment, the Absol looked away and began heading west, the direction in which the rendevous had been set. The beach, further down. Having gone past the idea of any of her hidey-holes in the area, or even going back to her alcove back in the village, she followed. After a moment, she was surprised to see that the Absol had pulled away slightly. She puzzled over the developmnt, as she considered herself far faster than others, and as such could keep up with most. She now realised this might not be the case. But she could easily fix that. Side-stepping deeper into the trees, she took a deep breath. She concentrated for a moment, and felt her legs grow stronger, faster. The idea to yell the move out loud and clear came to mind, but she decided against it. It was a stealth mission, this. She had to be quiet. She sped off down the cliff, leaping fallen branches and logs with agile grace. She made hardly a sound, her feet barely skimming the ground before rising again. She loved this move. Quick transport, quick access, fun time. She slowed reluctantly to a stop, noticing the sands before her. She glanced around quickly for a good vantage point, and saw a good tree, with low branches for her assistance. Jumpin high, she caught the lowest branch, and hauled herself up. She grabbed the next one and hauled herself up again. And so repeated it until she was high enough to be concealed from everywhere bar directly below, and to watch the precedings. Agro
Solo had been running for a while, he'd begun to lose the scent of the Vulpix behind him, but it wasn't disappearing as quickly as he'd assumed, meaning it was still following him. Eventually he began zigging back and forth, making sure to keep himself moving as to disperse his scent in case it was still following him. After a while, he finally slowed down and began keeping an eye out for it. If it wasn't for his exceedingly perceptive hearing, he probably wouldn't have noticed it, but the distinctive sound of paw on bark was unmistakable, and he looked up to see the Vulpix jumping from tree to tree. "Innovative." Solo didn't necessarily need to confront the Vulpix, and he kept telling himself that he didn't want to. Maybe it was the feeling of uneasiness he always got when he knows someone is trailing him, or maybe it was just out of curiosity, but Solo began trailing the Vulpix as it had trailed him. Eventually it stopped on a tree nearing the beach he assumed was the one Rolly had referred to. Solo stopped right beneath the tree the Vulpix was sitting on and snuck up the branches, until finally landing on the branch besides the one Vulpix was sitting on. His instinct of running through ragged cliffs and mountain forests allowed him to do it silently, and the Vulpix didn't seem to notice until he finally spoke, "I take it you overheard my friend then?" CrystalCyae
Vulpix squealed, jumping in surprise. Her shock wasso great that she banged her head on the branch above, causing her to land clumsily. She rubbed her sore head with a paw, but it was fine. Nothing a Oran Berry later wouldn't fix. Maybe just a little bumb afterwards. Her startled thoughts came back into focus, causing her to remember the Absol's question. "Well....yeah." she answered, though it was fairly obvious. But considering she had a minor headache, that wasn't the major thing on her mind. "I kinda started trailing you and the Ralts after you used Razor Wind in the clearing. I was curious, considering I offered my assistance to you commo- you guys to show you the village, only to be met by that Razor Wind." She chuckled slightly. "Then again, I might have frightened you id- you guys." God I'm failing so bad at this. She thought, wanting to hit herself. Then she considered the branch, and felt she'd been dealt a hit sufficiently. "Oh yea, I almost forgot, my name's Amber." she smiled slightly, just as she had in the clearing. Jolta
Jolteon was finally done with his fishing. "Well, I suppose this is all I can fish for today..." Jolteon placed every single fish in a container, sealed tight. "Time to leave..." Jolteon muttered as started to walk back on all fours. He then heard a loud thud as he ran towards the source. Just then, he once again came across the Vulpix and Absol. Not wanting to be noticed, he hid behind a bush. He noticed how considerably bad the Vulpix was at at making friends, but she did want to help. He too, was trying to make friends as well, and thought those two were a good start. Suddenly, an Oran Berry rolled away from his brim-filled basket, rolling towards the two. "Oh no, this is not good..."

Agro
Solo stretched his neck as the Vulpix tried her best to explain herself. He wasn't really all that interested anymore. The second it was clear that she did not mean harm to them, he was focused back on getting to Rolly. As soon as she finished, muttering off at the end, and without responding to her, Solo started walking towards the beach. He could see the Lapras right off the coast, he wouldn't need to hurry to get there before them. But as he started walking he felt his foot come across an Oran berry. Judging by the fall she must have taken, he assumed the least he could do for being the cause was to give her something that had the properties enough to heal her up, so without much contemplation, he picked it up with his paw and rolled it back to her. "Sorry to startle you." He looked back at the somewhat reddened face(it's hard to tell on a vulpix) she had before continuing onward. Just as he was about to start out, from the corner of his eye, he noticed a Jolteon staring nervously at him. Ignoring it, he continued on to meet up with Rolly. __________________________ "Wow! He can swim that far?" Rolly was exceedingly impressed with the Meditite's focus and determination. "I wish I could swim that far... If there's ever a body of water, I usually hang onto Solo as he swims across. He's a really good swimmer." The speech was mainly to himself, which made it a bit of an oddity for him when the Lapras asked if he would swim too. "No! I could never make it that far." Looking back at the beach, he noticed Solo finally trot up to the shore. "Over there. Solo!" He waved to his friend. "That's Solo, could you take me there, please?" Grunt Issun
Charmeleon sat on his little hand-made cliff, staring down at the opening in the village. Just waiting... and waiting... and waiting... "THIS IS SO BORING!" he finally shouted. "Why won't any Arceus-Damned pokemon come into the Arceus-Damned village!?" he asked himself in anger. He scanned the village, everyone in sight was already with someone else it seemed, "I swear, at this rate I'll have to go to that place myself!" he thought aloud, dropping his body to lay back on his 'Home' "Maybe I should just go look for someone instead of wait here" he shrugged, but decided to wait just a few more minutes anyway. Off in far north, a Ninetails was jumping it's way up a mountain. When it reached the top, it was greeted by an ominous giant castle of sorts, on either side of the doorway, there were two Bisharp, who let the Ninetails enter without hesitation. The Ninetails made it's way up through the stairs and corridors, into a large room, resembling a throne room. Inside, Mewtwo stood near the end, his back turned, when he heard a door opening, he turned his head to see the Ninetails standing there. "Ah, hello Ninetails dear, I'm glad you could come" he greeted her, "Oh it's no problem really, anything to wipe out humanity and help you" she replied cheerfully, as if they were talking about their favorite things to do, rather than talking about destroying humanity, though in this case, it was likely they were doing both. "So, I've called together a bit of a group, as you know" Mewtwo told Ninetails, "Among the elites include Gengar, Smeargle, Crobat, and a few others. Just thought I'd let you know since, when you're not by my side, you'll normally be working with Gengar for a few types of things, though that's only in the off chance that the other pokemon here get suspicious and, I don't know, form a team and come storming my castle in order to defeat me, forcing me to return them home and give them back their memory" Mewtwo told her, "But like I said, bad chances of that happening"
Lunar Origins
Nincada opened a single eye at the Shinx whom clumsily tripped over him. A bit aggravated, he almost lashed out at the Shinx, but he began to speak before Nincada could do so. Nincada listened to his apology, and closed his eyes as the buffoon asked him if he was well. "A measly runt like you could never hurt a great Nincada like me." Nincada spoke with a grand tone, as if he thought of himself as the king of the world. "I accept your apology, but don't think I'm going to let you off so easily. Now, who are you? You call this place the 'village', correct? Who is the leader here? Can you remember-" Nincada stopped himself before he began to ask too many questions. A simpleton like this Shinx couldn't possibly know very much about the state of the village. "Never mind. I don't think you'd be able to answer my questions." He stood up on his four stilt-like legs and started striding towards the village entrance, leaving the Shinx behind. He needed answers more than anyone else- this gap in his memory was tearing him apart.
GreyCat
"Well, bite a pokemon for trying to be nice," Sneeze snorted. He tossed the offered snack back inside and cleared the entrance to his den was a hop. "This is why I'm normally into this 'being kind to people' thing," he commented casually, making air quotes with his fingers as he spoke. "Prissy little ice queens and scheming little poison types are always ready to bite your tail off." He climbed up into the branches easily, his claws making little work of the job, and he ambled off to find somebody else to [s]bother[/s] talk to, taking the highway. He plucked a twig and chewed on it as he wandered, smirking to himself a bit and wishing he knew hail or even rain dance. It would have been fun to spoil those two's day a bit more. Hydra of Ages
"Leach? Aha, I'm sure there's no chance of that," Nidoran said with an easy smile. "After all, we're all ultimately looking out for ourselves here, so none of us need to rely on eachother for survival, but pooling our resources are beneficial when we don't exactly know what's happening. If for example, I found out some juicy information about the island or our situation, I wouldn't hesitate to give it to someone I knew I could depend on if we were, say, attacked in the middle of the night." Talking with others was easy; it was a simple matter of determining what the other person wanted, and somehow making that the same thing as what you wanted. Sometimes people wanted something base and simple, like food or the affection of a pretty female, and sometimes it was a bit more complex- but no matter what it was, if you could hone in on the one thing someone else wanted, you basically had them in the grasp of your paw. Glaceon wasn't one beset by many issues. She had her territory, she had her food, and she didn't have any enemies; in a word, she was rather well off, so it came down to perceived need. That was Nidoran's trump card; everyone in the village was off-kilter, left wanting for something they couldn't quite remember, and in an unfamiliar place they've had to adapt to unnaturally. The imagination scarcely needed stimulation; anything, really, could happen at any given time and upset the status quo. So of course, there was one thing you could offer someone who wanted nothing: Security in the knowledge that they will STAY wanting nothing. Safety bred paranoia after all, and in the irregularity of their situation, paranoia bred faster than most' sanity could keep up with. "After all, the summer's coming quick. If this island's anywhere tropical, food's going to be pretty difficult to find in the scorching sun...." she said, leaving the comments about an Ice type's longevity in extreme weather unsaid but still hanging in the air, "...and my species is pretty good at finding small hides and nooks where the sun stays out. Since the changing weather's probably going to be hard on all of us at some point or another, I thought it might be better to trade my expertise sooner rather than later." evilfusion
"So, you want my strength and my resources," Glaceon noted, her expression changing to one of suspicion as she listened. If Nidoran was competent herself, then the idea wasn't leeching from her so much as sharing resources and information. Not that the poison type was making any genuine guarantee that she would have information about their situation, but it was becoming clearer that Glaceon wasn't the only one who found the circumstances surrounding their location and faulty memories less-than-reassuring. Her brow furrowed subtly at the comment about summer. She had been hoping that it was approaching winter instead of the other way around, vain a hope as that was. She hated hotter temperatures as much as any Ice type should; but her particular distaste was more centered around personal comfort. Hot weather would nullify her snow dens even at night, and that meant that, assuming Nidoran was being honest, that she did in fact have some information of interest. Finding a den in a shaded area, somewhere darker or underground even, would become a top priority. "So let's see if I get this right: You want a form of protection...security if you will, and access to a pool of resources in exchange for...useful information and further benefits that can be reaped from your company?" CrystalCyae
Amber could see that Absol didn't really care. That was sort of OK by her, though she did still wish she had at least one friend on the desolate island. She had tried countless times over the course of the month to regain fragments of her memory, to remember having friends. But no such feeling came. Occasionally a small sense of deja vu, but that was as close as she got. When the Absol picked up an Oran Berry at his feet and rolled it to her, she was fairly surprised. Not many did stuff like that. Then again, they were all in the same boat. All with no memories past waking up on this island. They had to help each other out. "Thanks." she said, taking a bite of the berry. She loved Oran. Delicious and filling, and helped her feel better after falling. She often packed a dozen or so Oran Berries in each hidey-hole. In the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of yellow. She tilted her head slightly, so she could see the yellow better without looking as if she was looking that way. A Jolteon, I think she thought. It looks familiar. It was then she remembered the Jolteon Charge Beam-ing berries in the trees. She'd only seen a glimpse or two, but she could remember. Taking another bite of the berry, she stepped towards the Jolteon. "Uhh, hello?" She called.
Jolta
"Hello there, young Vulpix, I guess you found me..."
