Charmeleon opened his eyes, just waking up from a short nap he was having. He was getting prepared to go on a bit of a "Trip" and needed all the supplies he could get. He was currently in the woods, looking around at a couple of trees, "Alright, non of the... er... villagers have an charcoal, so I'll just make some myself!" he thought aloud, using the term villagers loosley. Everyone had only been here for about, a month at max, not even that much, but some people, despite having their memory wiped, had already taken up a life here. Charmeleon however, felt something was a little off about everyone having amnesia, especially considering the group of pokemon that were here were a bunch of misfits, no matter how you look at it. None of them seemed like they were wear they should be. Anyway, Charmeleon looked straight on at a tree, leaned back, throwing his head back as well. Flames started to leak out from his mouth, despite it being closed, and he thrust his head forward, leaning forward at the same time, and opening his mouth, "EMBER!" he shouted, as a few little fire balls flew through the air, and lit a tree. "I have a feeling one little ember won't be enough to make Charcoal, even if it was from me" Charmeleon figured, again he threw his head back, then released a few more fireballs whilst thrusting forward, he did this about 3 more times until the tree was completley ablaze. Before the fire could spread anymore, Charmeleon looked up at the branches and leaves of the tree. He brought his right arm down near the ground, with his palm open and facing up, his claws started to glimmer and shine white, "METAL CLAW!" he shouted, then jumped up and cut of the bunch of branches and leaves, stopping the fire from spreading to the other trees quickly. Finally, he looked straight at the middle of the tree trunk, "METAL CLAW!" he shouted again, and cut off a large chunk of the tree, before slicing the rest into bits, and patting out the fires.

In his hands, Charmeleon now held a perfectly black piece of Charcoal. He grew a smug smile, "Hah, perfect!" he boasted to himself, then he looked back behind him, "I should probably get back to the 'Village' soon, there are probably at least a few others with my suspicion, and having some meat shields and decoys never hurts" Charmeleon shrugged. He hoisted the charcoal up onto his shoulder, and began his sprint back into the makeshift village just outside the forest, which was really just a misfit village of Holes, Tree Homes, fake-caves, and assorted other shelters made by the pokemon that lived there.

Eevee readjusted himself in the leaf blanket letting out a yawn. He was snuggled up in the shade of the woods quite a ways away from society. Strange, strange society. Even though it was morning and usually the time he took to get up, he ignored the task. It wasn't important to him this morning. He had just made two blankets out of leaves. This took a bit too much of his night, although he had help. Thankfully, him and his companion wer both safe and snug. And, honestly, that was the only thing Eevee really was happy of, due to his grumpiness from lack of sleep. Nonetheless, he would make up for his lost time.

“Solo?” Rolly had almost fallen asleep in the fur on the scruff of Solo’s back as he addressed him. The Absol of little words grunted softly to exhibit that Rolly had his attention. “Are we almost there?”

“Almost. I’ll tell you when.” Rolly had been riding on Solo’s back for the past few hours as they attempted to make their way across the island. Rolly, like many Ralts his age, had a psychic vision, and had determined that there was a group of pokemon grouping on the South side of the island. The fauna and pollen from the forest plants- and maybe even some forest Pokémon- had made Rolly fairly drowsy. If not for the irregular movements of Solo as he jumped over the mountainous rocks that jutted out through the patches of oaks. But now the land was beginning to even out, and Solo’s pace had grown rhythmic, if it wasn’t for Solo’s sudden halt, Rolly was sure he would have completely dozed off.

“What is it?” Rolly pushed himself up so he was sitting straight up on Solo’s back. Solo was looking straight to the left.

Looking himself, Rolly saw what it was that had attracted his friend’s attention. Lying huddled beneath a pair of leaves under the brush and foliage of the forest’s trees was an Eevee, looking fast asleep without notice that it had company. Rolly leaned close to Solo’s ear.

“Is it dead?” Solo chuckled softly at the question. “I’m sure he’s fine. Maybe this means we’re close to the village.” Rolly smiled. “Well, let’s see if he knows where it is!”

“Um, I don’t think that’s a good-.” Solo stopped trying to convince him other wise as Rolly snuck over to the sleeping Eevee.

“Hello?” Rolly started poking the Eevee. “Are you there?” When that didn’t work he started circling it, jabbing incessantly and asking random questions such as, “Are u dead?” “Can you hear me?” and, “Hello?”

Solo sighed. Rolly was just asking for trouble.

Nidoran squinted at the light that lanced through the trees into her eyes, muttering under her breath as she drew herself out from the tight burrow she'd haphazardly dug for herself. It was a sad affair, barely large enough for her to squeeze into and out of every night and with a rather disappointingly small chamber on the inside, but it worked enough for her purposes at least. She missed her old one, back in... in...

Well, there was that memory thing. She drew her small mouth into a frown; if there was one thing that was irritating, it was that she wasn't sure what she was irritated at. At times, she had faint inklings that things were supposed to be different, that waking up in the morning and squirming from a tight burrow like she did nowadays was... weird. Or at least not how it was supposed to be done, how it was usually done.

Why she and the rest of the 'village' had lost their memories, she couldn't say, but there had to be a reason for certain. She made her nest in the middle of the haphazard group, surrounded on all edges by other sleepy pokemon slowly rousing themselves to wakefulness; if something were to happen in the night, she'd be one of the last effected, of course.

Now... what to do today, she mused. Worst came to worst, she'd leave to find food; more ideally, she'd be able to find someone to get her food for her. That, of course, was something she was working on. She didn't have her memories, but she knew she at least had her standards, and those standards said that she shouldn't do something for herself if she were perfectly able to get someone else to do it for her. That just felt right.

Jolteon took a nap in his treehouse. As he awoken, he gave a wide yawn. His intelligence allowed him to create such a nice house. Fridge or no fridge, it was excellent. He took some odd-looking sunglasses from the table. "Wonder how I got these eyes in the first place... so hideous..." What Jolteon feared was revealing his odd eyes to society, thus his awesome sunglasses. He then preapared some berry juice from some fresh Oran berries he collected yesterday, then he pulled down his glasses and fired a tiny Charge Beam at the drink to warm it up, before finally lifting his paw to sip it.

He then looked out of his window. "Wonderful sunny day. Nice day to have a stroll and make some nice friends..." He completely slurped his whole drink, then exited, locked his door, before sliding down some wooden slide he constructed in his free time, which was perpetually what his life was made of. He need not worry about splinters, because he had some of 'his own' on his tail. He walked around the village, looking around for tamer, non-brutal friends. He had old friends who were highly brutal.

Eevee had finally gone back to spleep. Peaceful, helpful, loveable sleep. He had this wonderous gift for all about ten minutes before he felt something poking him. He thought it could be his friend, but his friend was too young to put that much force. It was really strange, to say the least. He opened his eyes, seeing Rolly poke him and annoyingly ask him things that made no sense. It was agonizing. Eevee quickly jumped up and leaped away from the annoying creature. "What do you want!?" he yelled at such a volume to where it wouldn't wake up his friend, "why are you bothering me?"

While the 'village', as a peculiar number of the residents chose to call it, may have been made up of a number of dens and burrows and other homely accomodations, there was one spot in particular that tended to stand out, even in a place like that. That may have had something to do with the fact there was a large patch of snow covering the grass within a ten foot radius, with little to no care taken to ensure this radius did not fall within range of another home.

Any complaints raised tended to fall on deaf ears, especially the first weeks since the village had been established. Glaceon chose her den the way she chose her lovers: Whatever was quick, easy, and adhered to her ever-shifting demands. The only truly consistent detail was how she coated the immediate area in a layer of snow, which she insisted was a necessity to maintain her comfortable body temperature.

As with most days, she liked to be up earlier, before her den snow melted, and used the time to assemble a meal of fruit from the surroundings, only to return to her snow patch by the time others awoke, food in tow. From there, she would savor the flavors of the fruit as she ate, her sharp eyes watching the surroundings to gauge who was going to be awake first.

Fact was, she didn't care for the village. It got in her way, was too warm for her liking. A creature like her had no business being in such a warm environment, and she could not, for the life of her, figure out how she got here. Maybe the mountain was snowy and maybe she used to live up there, but she couldn't remember coming down from there, and was puzzled why she ever would have strayed far from the blissful cold.

The fact no one else seemed to remember their past life was another mystery.

Out in the ocean somewhere, Lapras swam for literally miles, seeming to be wandering aimlessly. She certainly didn't recognize anything out of the ordinary. There must be something out where she was, she was sure of it. But all she could see so far was just vast blue ocean, and probably the sun that was out in the horizon.

"Surely something's gotta ring a bell out here," Lapras said after a brief sigh, before turning to whatever Pokemon it was on her back again, "Hey, do you have any snacks? I mean like... food?"

She would hunt for something herself, but that would likely mean diving into the ocean. And well, considering the Pokemon hadn't bothered Lapras enough that she would've picked it up and thrown it overboard already, she figured she'd better stay up on the surface, lest the other Pokemon was unable to swim to wherever it wanted to go.

Rolly jumped back, not expecting such a sudden and angered outburst. Yelling wildly, he fled back behind Solo, using the bulky fur coat covering his torso as a shield. Whimpering rather melodramatically, he looked from Solo, back to the angered Eevee. Solo sighed, apparently having seen most of this coming. Gently shaking Rolly off, he circled behind him and nudged him towards the Eevee, a move that, though to anyone else besides Rolly would have been seen as an adult move to make the aggravator resolve his own conflict, was one made out of shyness and overall social anxiety.

"Um..." Rolly looked back towards Solo, who looked away innocently, not wanting any reason to get involved. The look on Rolly's face as he realized he wasn't getting any help was one of pure depression. Gathering himself, he turned back towards the Eevee. "Hi! I'm Rolly! And this is Solo... I... uh... we... um... well, there's a... village, we think, is nearby somewhere and we, um, were wondering if you, maybe, um, might know where it...is?"

The village? The village? That's what took away his precious sleep. He just couldn't escape the troubles that village gave him, now could he? However, Eevee chuckled anyway. It was funny to see two people that clueless. "That village," he began, "is just about inbetween everything. In-fact, I live as far away as I can to ignore that place. Anyhow, I live nowhere close to it, it's further North. Now I'll be going back to sleep, he explained, prompting the two to leave. He then swiftly wrapped himself into the blanket again and fell asleep/

Vulpix, unlike some of the other Pokemon, was not asleep, and hadn't been for a while. Rather, she was creeping slowly through the forest.
The dappled sunlight created eerie shadows. Vulpix scooted around the edge of a large section of sunlight, being sure not to touch it, as that would give away her position.
Her mission in mind was to successfully reach one of her many hidey-holes, the most dangerous one. It was far from the village, where most "villagers", as they were known, didn't usually venture. Despite it being safe from most other Pokemon, it was more dangerous out where others weren't. More slippery places, more sharp rocks. In general, more of everything dangerous, and then some.
Her ear twitched as she though she heard voices, but when she heard nothing else she continued, albeit at a far slower pace.

"What do you want!?" Someone yelled loudly. Startled, Vulpix jumped, landing gracefully. Now on full alert, she pushed herself to the ground and crept slowly forward into a bush, where she could see whatever was on the other side.

Between the leaves she saw an annoyed looking Eevee - most likely the one who had yelled -, and a Ralts who rode a Absol. Or something. Her attitude usually let her forget others fairly quickly.

The Ralts asked the direction to the village, which surprised Vulpix. Many of them had woken up, around a month ago, in the general vicinity of where the village was now, if her memory served. Usually it didn't so she ignored it and focused on the scene before her.

The Eevee chuckled, rather out of place, before directing the two on their way. Then promptly falling asleep.

Vulpix then decided to make herself known. This time, no need for any dramatic entrance. She'd been there the whole time, and as such a shock was just what came with it. Good enough for her, anyway.
Gently, as to avoid any thorns on the bush, she crept through, then straightened up.

"Uhh, hello." She said, trying to be kind and avoid speaking to loudly, lest she wake up the Eevee again. Had she not seen his temper, she would have been fine, but having seen it, she wasn't sure she wanted to be on his wrong side.

"I heard you com-" She faltered, wanting to kick herself. Nearly slipped then. If she wanted friends, she had to not do that.
"I heard you guys talking about wanting to go the village. I can lead you there, if you'd like." She smiled slightly, which was probably the closest most ever got to a full smile.

Jolteon held a basket in one forepaw and had a fishing rod strapped on his back as he ventured into the woods. He looked around, noticing the bustling environment. He tried to ignore it and simply stepped into the woods to collect berries.

"Pretty high for a short guy..." Jolteon looked up. "Nothing is impossible. CHARGE BEAM!" An electrically charged red-and-blue laser emerged from his odd sunglasses, hitting the tops of the trees and causing a few berries to topple down, perfectly landing in his basket. He repeatedly did this for other trees.

"I must find one with celestial markings one day..." Jolteon had always wished to find such a berry one day. All he had were a few Bluks, Orans and Cheris. At least they were delicious and nice to eat. There was still fishing to do.

He then heard some commotion and such. He watched behind a bush, and saw an Eevee, and a Vulpix, Ralts and Absol too. He saw the whole thing straight.

"No business here, for long..." he blushed for a while before continuing, firing more Charge Beams to collect more berries, creating laser-like sounds, seeing that each Charge beam got stronger each time.

As Charmeleon exited the forest, he heard a bit of a commotion somewhere nearby. Charmeleon turned his head to the area and saw a odd-ball group of an Eevee, a Ralts, an Absol, a Vulpix, and briefly a Jolteon before it walked away. Charmeleon thought for a moment, 'Hmm... should I go and see them? Or should I just go and wait at the village?' he asked himself, 'Well, they look like they've got their hands full, and they'll probably come to the village anyway, I'll just talk to them there' Charmeleon decided, shrugging, then started off North, back to the village.

When Charmeleon got back to the village, he immedietly jumped up on top of the rock formation he had constructed near the opening to the village. He layed his piece of Charcoal down by his side, then sat down, held his head in his hands, and began to look down, waiting for any sign of someone who looked like they could help.

"North?" Solo said it confusedly to Rolly. "I thought you said it was close to the Southern tip of the island?"

"It was!" Rolly held his hand to his chin, coming to the conclusion he wanted. "Hey, sleepyhead!" The look on Rolly's face could be described as disturbing, multiplied by the his small stature an usual innocent looks made for an almost intimidating sight. "You're LYING!" Rolly, with no real provocation, jumped on Eevee's back and latched himself to it's back. "You know where it is. It's south not north! You know it, you know it, you know it. Tell me; tell me; tell me; tell meeeeeeee!"

Solo looked over in dispair. Rolly wasn't helping. It was then he noticed another pokémon, a Vulpix, crawling underneath the bushes behind Eevee and Rolly, a possible danger Solo didn't want to have to trouble with. "Rolly!" In haste, Solo jumped from his spot towards Rolly. "Razor Wind!" The gust and blades of air cut around everything, splitting everyone up and knocking Rolly into the air, where Solo caught him with his mouth and pulled him back to where they had been standing.

"What the hell Solo! That was really rash!" Solo stared in pessimism, "Who was rash?" Rolly scratched his chin, "Well, um." Rolly looked back at the other two pokemon that had been hit by the attack. "Oh no, are you all alright?"

The Eevee couldn't believe this brat. He just refused to leave an near sleep deprived pokemon. It was frustrating to say the least. "You, the moron," he said directed towards Rolly, eyes still closed, "I said North because that is in relation to where I am. I was saying North in the sort of sense of if you were to stand where I was in the same direction, that would be my North, but the world's South." He explained this in a rather strange, but logical way beofre warning the other pokemon there. "As for you others, I suggest you leave him as soon as possible. Idiocy is contagious."

"Idiocy?" Ralts steamed. "Let me at 'im. I'll take 'im out. I'll beat 'im. I'll-. Hey, Solo, where are you going?" Solo had already begun walking off to the South. "There's no point talking to someone so annoyed with us. Or, you. He already told us where to go." Ralts started squirming around. "C'mon, Solo, I was gonna teach that guy a lesson, I was gonna beat him into the ground." The two had already left the area where the other pokémon had been. "Solo, let me go!" A glint appeared in Rolly's eyes. "Alright then..." Rolly put his hands together. "Shadow Ball!" A ball of darkness began appearing in Rollys palms. "No Rolly, don't!" Without warning, the ball of shadows exploded.

A few seconds later, Solo got up and picked up the unconscious Rolly, throwing him on his back. "You should know to never use an attack you can't control, Rolly." The two continued South, unsuspectingly going a little further South than the village was located.

Lacking in anything else better to do, Nidoran found herself drawn towards what could be called the only major landmark of the Village- a large patch of inexplicable whiteness marking the current resting place of one of the island's only two ice-types, the eternally prickly Glaceon. Nidoran hadn't personally spoken to her for any particular length of time, but her attitude was already infamous among the villagers, especially those who had the misfortune of waking to a snowed-in den- it was, of course, impossible that the eon had made many friends among the island's residents.

Nidoran had experience dealing with the extraordinarily insufferable, even if she couldn't quite remember what experience that had been at the moment. There were few evolved pokemon active around, and Nidoran found it imperative that she make a strong core group of those powerful enough to defend her right off the bat- attracting the aid of a force otherwise uninterested in acting as a team would be a benefit, to say the least. While it was unlikely she could harvest menial labor from any association, possible security was a necessity for her to secure- and as the Charmeleon didn't appear to be in the area at the moment, her path was clear.

She walked lightly through the snow covering, trying to avoid chilling her paws too much as she walked up the light-blue pokemon, and decided to wear an easy-going smile for the moment. There was little trick to speaking to someone who didn't expect to be spoken to, aside from actually doing it.

"Good morning, Glaceon. Fair weather today," she said idly, speaking of nothing really. Much as in combat, the first one to give actual information in a conversation granted advantage to the responder.

Glaceon's gaze flicked towards the movement, noting the Nidoran was up and about. Considering how rarely the two of them gave more than passing acknowledgement of the other, she was going to simply resume her eating and wait to see who woke next. However, it soon became clear that the Nidoran was heading towards her, which was mildly unusual, to say the least.

Glaceon sat up a little, watching with a mixture of lazy indifference and amusement as the Nidoran came nearer, deliberately treading upon the snowy ground, a carefree smile on her face.

"Morning," Glaceon replied, placing her tail possessively around the remaining pieces of fruit at her feet. It didn't really matter she probably wouldn't eat them, it was a way of sending the message of ownership. From night until the snow melted, Glaceon claimed an area as her den. The current intrusion seemed more social than anything, so she remained relaxed, her icy fur flat and at ease.

She paused and considered the sky for a moment, then shrugged. "I guess the weather's fine," she said, more as a mutter. Once the sun climbed higher, it would be far less pleasant and she'd have to move to a more shaded area until motivated to do anything more active.

She knew that standard procedure for conversation required some sort of comment or question to the other, but she didn't like this procedure. What Nidoran should want to know is what HER current mood was, that way if she was here for a favor, she'd know how to ask for it, and if it was purely a social visit, then she'd know whether to leave or linger.

"I slept great," she said casually, stretching her forelegs as she sat up. "Chilly, quiet nights are the best."

Sneeze pocked his head out from his own den when he heard the sounds of talking. He made his home in the surprisingly spacious hollow under a large tree not too far from glaceon's snow patch. It was probably made when some heavy rains or something of the like washed out some of the trapped dirt from the tree. The thick networked roots, leaf fall, shrubs and dirt that accumulated around the foot of the tree since then made a nice half cave, half burrow that required minimum effort to maintain. Some borrowed snow from glaceon's patch and a little ice work of his own, and he had a snug little base. The tree didn't mind the ice, and it was water proof.

He ducked back inside and, after a casual browsing, plucked an icicle from a corner of the roof, a handful of berries frozen inside. The joys of being an ice type. Not only were frozen berries tasty, they lasted longer too. One day of foraging equaled several days of meals. His breakfast in hand, he made himself comfortable in the shrubbery and munched on his treat. "Ho neighbors!" he called out cheerfully, interrupting their conversation with much relish. "Disappointing day, isn't it?"

"Whadduya mean, 'We're lost.'?" Rolly was almost crying in desperation. "Oh, no, now I'm not gonna see my family again, how can I live without my mama's cooking!"

"Family? Rolly, you have amnesia, you don't have a family."

"I don't even HAVE a family!" Rolly actually started crying. "ALRIGHT then!" Wiping tears from his eyes, Rolly stood back up and looked around. "No sense crying about it!" Rolly began walking through some bushes. "Let's just have a look around and see if anyone knows where we ar-." Rolly yelped as he disappeared beneath the ferns.

"Rolly!" Solo jumped into the bushes, stopping very shortly as he looked over the cliff his friend was barely hanging onto. "Rolly, hold on."

"What do you think I'm doing?"

"It's gonna be alright, just don't look down."

"You're not helping!" Solo quickly looked around trying to find a branch or something to pull up his friend dangling helplessly on a root of a tree jutting out from the cliffside. "Solo, I'm slipping!"

"Rolly, no!" Rolly's grip loosened for only a second, and with that, he began falling to the brine covered rocks and rolling waters of the ocean below. "ROLLY!"

Nincada awoke with a jolt, bumping his head on the ceiling of his improvised 'burrow'. After letting out a small yelp of pain and rubbing the sore spot on his head that had impacted the top of his temporary home, he turned around and head for the exit. The burrow, which was dug in a matter of minutes, was surprisingly grand. It took Nincada about 30 seconds of crawling to reach the exit hole- a fierce light was blazing outside. It seemed to be morning. Being afraid to emerge from the burrow, Nincada scanned his surrounding from the entrance, and to his surprise there weren't any other Pokemon around. He uttered a sigh of relief and went out into the sun.

He spent his morning scavenging the areas near his new home, picking up fallen berries and other foodstuffs. He noted that his movements were getting quicker and quicker the more hungry he was- could this be a sign of change? He pushed the thought aside and continued on with his search for food.

After gathering a sizable pile and placing it in his burrow, he marked the cache and covered the entrance, noting the environment around it. His memory was astoundingly accurate- he could recall even the most minute of details from anything that had happened recently, but somehow... somehow everything before the last couple of weeks had seemed like a blur to him. He got chills down his back whenever he tried to think about whatever did happen before then- it seemed ominous, if anything.

--

After meandering around the island for a bit, Nincada had come across a small place where other Pokemon had gathered. He overheard a Pokemon refer to this place as the 'village'. Curious, he proceeded into the village. He found an empty spot alongside the outer edge of the village, a nice shady haven under a large tree. He sat down in the shadow of the great tree and rest his head upon his paws - he was tired.

Lapras just happened to see a Ralts fall off the nearby cliff-face. She wasn't able to do much to break the fall herself, but that didn't stop her from having the urge to swim faster, lest he'd drown before she could get there.

Solo saw the Lapras rushing towards Rolly and was a bit uneasy. He couldn't tell if it was trying to help Rolly or eat him, but in either case, maybe he could help him if he could just slow him down. "Razor Wind!" Solo flung out two blades of air, that boomeranged around and collided with each other below Rolly. The resulting gust of air, caught Rolly and boosted him for a second, not enough to send him in the other direction, but just enough to slow his descent.

Rolly tried to balance himself as the air pushed up on him, seeing the Lapras coming up beneath him, he tried his best to slow himself even further. "Confusion!" It was a strange feeling using an attack on himself, but it seemed to be working. At this speed, the Lapras and the pokémon on its back may be able to save him, and if that were not their intentions, then he would be able to live through the crash into the water. But there was just one problem with that. "I can't swim!" Rolly lost all concentration and his confusion dissipated, causing him to continue falling.

"Hey, can't you see that I'm...?" the Pokemon, which revealed itself to be a Meditite, only just broke out of its meditation to see that the Ralts had tried to levitate himself back up the cliff, but failed, "Oh right, emergency. Meditite ran up Lapras' neck and performed a scissor jump, gathering as much height as possible, and catching the falling Ralts in mid-air, before his body stopped accelerating upwards and fell back down again. Luckily he had that part covered as well.

"Hidden Power!" In a matter of seconds, rocks started forming around Meditite, which he sent straight down into the water below, before landing on one of them, "And that's how you save a Pokemon in distress. Any questions?"

He wandered in the woods for awhile, looking for fun. Then he came across what other pokemon he played with refered too as the 'village'. He bounded in, although he almost tripped over a Nincada. "Whoops! I'm sorry, I didnt see you!" Lightstorm said to the strange pokemon. "Are you okay? I didnt hurt you did I?" Lightstorm was worried. It wouldnt have been the first time he hurt another pokemon. Sometimes he didnt know his own strength.
