Flame Dragon
Don't see Negate being better since it his so few cards and more often then not your opponent won't have the mana to pay for this anyway. Dissipate I can see being better though since getting rid of the card for good is very helpful, as is it just serving as a hard counter.
.Nu-13
That's my problem. Most of my U/x decks are combo, and I'm more afraid of spells than creatures, and there's always a chance this won't counter anything.
Flame Dragon
While their is a chance, this will hit more then 90% of the time and when it doesn't it's because they played around it. However at that point it got you most of the time you needed anyway. That is also why we have side decks since while this is better main deck some decks can play around this all day. -Lightray Daedalus-
Mana Leak is in most cases better coz...of they want to play around it they'll have to delay the game to the point they got enought mana for both playing its spell and the additional mana leak cost... If they see that negate coming they'll just force you into countering a less relevant spell early all the time...also...We are in a standard were creature Decks are quickly taking over...XD

We have 8 duel lands for that color. So 4/4/8/8 run down of lands gives you 16 mana sources for your colors and 16 to lets 4 of them come into play untapped, and 4 that are good at the start of the game, something you want in a creature heavy format.
