Umbra
As you might have guessed from the title, we have a successor to Higurashi and Umineko, with perhaps a bit more of a reality-anchored story. With Higurashi we had a murder story in a far-out village: Umineko gave us the tale of Beatrice the witch and whether or not she could exist. Higanbana tells the story of a young girl being sexually abused by her teacher. While the images themselves aren't explicit (i.e. no actual nudity) they're very suggestive and humiliating. Higanbana is also more psychological horror than actual gore. THIS MANGA IS NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN. IF YOU ARE UNDER THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN, OR IF THE THEMES DESCRIBED ABOVE DISTURB YOU IN PARTICULAR IN ANY WAY, I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT READ THIS MANGA. Oh, and there's youkai.
