Secrets of the Xyz ~Dr. David Numero Vocal Diary.

Xyz Monsters. A race of powerful Duel Monsters in black frames which appeared on our planet in a meteor shower back in '09. They are shrouded in a thick veil of mystery and so far, nobody has seen through that veil, except me.

I, Dr David Numero, set out to discover the mysteries that the Xyz held. It took me 3 years, most of which I was 'away from home'. Now it is time for me to record my findings and tell the world what we are really facing, and what perils may await us, due to the Xyz. However, my main study is not only for the Xyz in general, but also for a specific archetype; The Numbers.

As stated earlier, the Xyz appeared as part of a meteor shower which covered the entire world and lasted a full five minutes. Each meteor was a card, each card an Xyz.
But later; dead at night, there was another shower of meteors. Only 100 fell and again, each contained an Xyz Monster. A 'Numbered Xyz'. These 'Numbers' share a similar name, as they all contain the word 'Number' followed by a specific number, depending what card it is. They are one-of-a-kind and extraordinarily powerful, considerably more so than any other Xyz. For example, they can only be destroyed by battle with another 'Number'. Some also have the ability to 'evolve' into a 'chaos numbers' in certain situations. They are extremely complex Monsters, but most interesting also.
Now, I was lucky enough to gain possession of one of these numbers and a mysterious artifact named; The Emperors Key. The Number was named Utopia and has the ability to negate attacks. They wouldn't seem much, but they totally absorbed me in study.
After a year, I struck gold. I had been working endlessly, conducting numerous experiments on Number 39: Utopia, and all I had managed to discover was that the card was created from a substance called anti-matter and that it was somewhat more powerful than average Xyz. But on the 21/09/11 at approximately 21:20, I was testing a Deck based around Utopia on a Duel Drone. My Life Points were decreasing at an alarming rate and very soon they reached the 500 mark. The Emperors Key, which was around my neck began to glow dimly. Subconsciously, I constructed an Overlay Network and offered up my Number 39: Utopia. From the Network came an almighty Monster; Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray. With it, I won the duel with ease.
By this time, the Key was shining so brightly, I had to avert my eyes. As the finishing strike landed, the Key lifted itself and pointed towards the opposite side of the Duel Arena. A golden laser was fired from it and opened some sort of 'portal'. Rashly and hastily I stepped inside, not thinking about anything it might affect, including my own family.

2 years I was gone! I returned early this year, much to everyone's shock. My wife remarried, my son hated me. My goal had been achieved, I understood the secrets of Xyz but my life was ruined. However, my absence had not been misspent.

Everyone knows the story of the Machine Emperors, the ultimate Synchro Killers. Well this was similar. The portal I stepped through led me to a parallel dimension, far superior to our own in terms of technology, inhabited by a spirit-like race. I befriended one of these spirits called Astral and he was shocked to see Utopia with me. I shall tell you why in due time. Let's start from their beginning.
I learnt that Xyz Monsters had been like the Synchro Monsters to us. They had a generator which spun in momentum with the Xyz and everyone who was anyone owned at least 1 Xyz. Exactly the same as us with Synchro Monsters. Then, something terrible happened. So very terrible.
A trio appeared one day, wielding powerful Effect Monsters. As you might guess, these were the Machine Emperors; Ignis, Aquel and Sunnel. The ultimate Xyz destroyers. They attacked without mercy and killed almost everyone and destroyed many major cities. None of the Xyz stood a chance. Except the Numbers. The Number Holders, like Astral (Who wielded Utopia), fought fiercely but were slowly being beaten.
In a desperate attempt, the Xyz and the Numbers were launched into deep space with the technology they had, which took the Xyz as far from them as possible. They eventually reached us, supposedly by the effect of a deep space wormhole, or black hole. The Machine Emperors and their users followed, not bothering the dimension further.

So, when I returned, I tried to tell everyone of my discovery. People thought I was mad and dismissed what I said. It had been 2 years, it was only a matter of time before the Emperors found the Xyz on our planet. At that point, their wrath would show no mercy. So, I will have to show people by other means. By making this recording. Hopefully then will-
*Loud Crash*
No! Not now! It can't be now!
*Voice gets frantic*
Listen now. They're here. The Emperors have found us. If you find this recording, you'll find Utopia. Learn to use it, find the other Number Holders. It is Earth's only hope. Please! Find as many of them as possible and save our world, your family, your friends.... before it is too late.
*Loud Crash, Fire and a scream*
Please........
*Recording Ends*

Sobbing. A cry of misery which usually involves tears. This boy was indeed crying tears, in great floods pouring from his topaz blue eyes. Each droplet hitting the bedsheet of the bed he was sitting on, located in the centre of Neo Domino, in Neo Hikari's house. He was staying for a sleep over, he susually did these days as he couldn't bear to see his mother so relaxed that his father, David Numero was dead. He knew what had killed his father. He knew that his father had set him a task, one which only he and Neo knew of. And he knew he had to do something. But what? He was so confused with everything that was going on. How was he supposed to find the other Number Holders? How-?
He stopped himself. Why was he crying? That was a better question. Instead of sitting around snivelling all day, he should actually do something! In his hands, James helf 2 distinct objects. In his right was a voice recording, one which his father had been making before he died and in the other was a newspaper, about losing hope and the disappearing Xyz (6th Newspaper). Then, around his neck was a pendant, The Emperors Key, his dad had called it and at the moment, it did nothing, just loooped loosely around James's neck.
From his Deck, James pulled out his Number Monster, Number 39: Utopia.
"What do I do?"
******************
"And now! Number 34: Terror-Byte will attack for game!" A voice cried as the looming figure of his Number Monster towered over his opponent. "Thanks to Super Crashbug, its ATK is now 2900!"
A single laser shot from the Numbers mouth and struck the opposing Duelist, depleting his Life Points to zero. Alexander Viro turned his back as the holograms faded and muttered to himself;
"Thats what you get for calling me 'geek'"

Neo walked into the room and then saw James, who was crying. "Hey James, what's wrong?" he asked as he walked over towards James, seeing his Number card and his key. He sighed and then shook his head, leaning up against the wall. "James, I know that you don't have any clue on what to do...but you gotta try and stop crying. I don't think that's what your father would want exactly. I'm sure your father would want you to be strong and keep your head up." Neo said, opening his deck box and pulling out Number 17: Leviathan Dragon. "Besides, spotting the Number holders will be easy...the Numbers will be their ace monsters."

The sound of Kyra’s D-Wheel tore through the silent streets as she sped along, weaving in and out of the rubble with practised precision. She had no idea where she was going or what she was even going to find, all she really care about was finding the person responsible for all of this and making them pay. She wasn’t used to going about this alone, she was used to commanding a unit of others and directing them with refined and practiced ease to solve any case she found on her desk in very short amounts of time, but those days where over and she was by herself, alone against whoever or whatever had ended her parents’ lives.

She noticed something out of the corner of her eye, catching just a brief glimpse before the image faded from view, and immediately braked, looking in the direction of whatever it was she had seen. It had to have been a duel; nothing else would produce a strange, blocky creature like that. She started up her bike once more, this time going in the direction the duel had been and finding a person lying on the ground, a d-pad on his risk and a broken d-gazer lying by his side. Kyra immediately hopped off her bike and walked over to the groaning figure, lifting him up roughly by the collar.

“Who where you duelling just now?” She demanded, glaring into the man’s eyes with a look of pure venom “Tell me, now!”

The man groaned: “I dunno…Some geek, used one of those weird number cards.”

Kyra’s eyes narrowed, she recognized that name and knew exactly what it meant.

“Where did he go?” She asked.

The man groaned again and shook his head, indicating that he didn’t know. Kyra grimaced and dropped the man without a second thought and returned to her vehicle, revving it up and speeding off again, hopefully in the direction of the man with the Number card.

Maverick sighed as he started his Duel Runner, thinking that he'd better check up on his friend James Numero. It took about an hour or two to get to Neo Hikari's place, and another few minutes to approach the door knock on it, with hopes that James was actually there. While he waited, Maverick looked at his No. 30: Acid Golem of Destruction. He didn't think of it as ace monster; although the monster was statistically powerful, Maverick had been finding that the side effects just weren't worth the summon.

"Well, at least it's in safe hands, I guess," he stated.

Meanwhile, at the ruins of the Numero Industries building, Salaginto rummaged around the place, trying to look for any form of information that survived the explosion. Although he co-ordinated the destruction of the building, he never did any of the dirty work, or even stuck around to see the explosion itself. He only returned to ensure the being responsible for the dirty work had done a good job in destroying everything in there. And this included the information, which was his number one priority.

A fireproof safe seemed to be the only thing left intact, although it was damaged enough to be opened easily. Inside was a pen along with a series of papers, only one of which Salaginto wanted to keep with him. It was the payroll, of all the employees that had worked with David Numero as he researched the Xyz Monsters. Using the pen, Salaginto striked most of the names off.

"Let's see... he's deceased, she's deceased, he's deceased, and he's... hmm," Salaginto stopped when his pen reached Maverick's name as he paused to think. However, knowing better than to spent too much time at the site in this state, he hid the payroll paper and the pen in his sleeve, before catching the other pieces of paper alight and leaving them to burn.

Suzanne Brigs knew exactly what she wanted when she saw the Number Monster. It was powerful and all she wanted was power. The number monster, all together in one deck, that deck would be the most powerful deck in the world, she wanted to be the one to get them all. At the moment in her deck she had 5 though she only used one. "Hey, you, I am Suzanne Brigs and I challenge you to a duel, I have a number monster to and I will be taking yours when I win." She Activated her duel disk and gazed down at her deck, she knew her number could take that Number 34. "So you want to duel me or are you going to surrender your number before it even begins."

Akira had just finished a duel with someone who had claimed to own one of the Numbers but hadn't been able to bring it out, Pathetic if you had any actually skill you would have been able to bring out your Number but oh well who am I to complain. After walking over to the man Akira took his deck box and looked through the mans cards noticing that the man not only didn't have a Zexal Weapon but no Numbers either in anger Akire tossed the man's deck into a gutter and stomped on his throat once before leaving in a rage. Not only did I waist my time with a duel but the idiot didn't even have any decent cars.

SIlas was intently staring a board on his wall whilst seated on a rolly chair. A large map of Neo Domino City was pinned to it, with multicoloured pins stuck through various parts of the city.

He sighed as he removed himself from said chair and began to remove each pin and placing them in a small box nearby. The map drooped as the pins keeping it up was removed and it flopped onto his waiting arm. It was folded up and stored underneath his bed.

Next, he then flopped himself onto his bed, he was staring up at the roof, and was in thought. 'The actions of these Xyz hunters don't add up. It's random, the only defining fact is that they go for buildings that are heavily populated, but so mnay buildings in Neo Domino are like that, so it would be nearly impossible to estimate where they would strike next. Of course, there is one factor to their search. I have no proof, but I would be guessing that the Number cards would be a high priority for them' he thought to himself.

His eyes moved to his deck, which was resting in its deck box on his desk. There was a second box as well, for his extra deck. He felt the usual feelings of darkness from it, and its source. 'I hate that card' he thought.

Jason drove like crazy down the streets of Neo Domino City. He enjoyed riding a Duel Runner, he felt relaxed, calm and just enjoyed moving that fast. You don't truly know a person until you have turbo dueled against them. This was the only thing he could enjoy now that he had lost his parents. The Xyz monsters, that was the cause of his parents disappearance, he knew that and that was why he wanted to fight the people who have them. They are the only link to his parents death, the cards, 1 - 100 monsters, each baring a different number. He didn't like it though he knew the only way to beat them was to use them, he hated Xyz, it felt unnatural, though he knew it was the only way he could get revenge. He heard a duel runner come up behind him, he gazed at his deck and said, "I can do this."

OoC Notes: This post shows graphic violence. Not certain of how graphic though.

A young girl by the name of Kira had been trying to catch rats in a garbage heap around the Satellite area, but had no luck getting anything. All she achieved was a multitude of broken nails, one of which was violently damaged and bleeding. Over in the far yonder, a nice, plump small girl had caught Kira's eye. It wasn't for the usual reason that she liked to bully these types though, but because she wanted something to take her frustration out on and the girl seemed just right for it.

Kira clambered over the garbage heap and barged through the hole in the fence, scratching herself in the process, and bleeding further than she was already. She didn't have time to deal with it, she was more focused on trying to stop her prey from slipping from her sight. Kira bolted for the girl and tackled her when she least expected it; whilst she had her backed turned talking with a cellphone. The girl tried to fight back, screaming and flailing all over the place, but despite her weakened state, Kira was still more than strong enough to overpower her. It took a couple of punches from Kira to knock the girl unconscious, before she dragged the girl to an abandoned warehouse and sank her teeth into the girl's exposed flesh.

Tears started to flow down Kira's cheeks. But they weren't tears of guilt. They were tears of joy, as after starving for so many days she had finally found something to eat. She just hoped she didn't have to try to work that hard just to grab a meal again. Now all there was left to do was tend to those wounds, or at least try to.

"I suppose" James muttered, "But if we want to do something, now might be as best time to do it as any. Its almost evening, and a lot of duelists come out at these times. What do you say we go find ourselves some number holders, before the Emperors begin to strike again......"
Quickly, he slipped on his Duel Disk and slotted his deck into it. He threw the newspaper down and wiped his eyes with the sleeve of his red hoodie. Then he began towards the dorr and motioned to Neo, "C'mon man! We got work to do!"
It wa somewhat obvious that James had recovered from his little crying moment.
******
Alexander heard a sound behind him, that of a duel runner at high speeds. He swung himself round to see the harsh glare of a single light shining in his direction, obviously getting closer and at high speeds. "What now?!" he muttered under his breath.
******
"I summon my Ace Card! Now you stand no chance Missus, be4cause your chances of winning are null and void! Behold! My Number Monster! NUMBER 10: ILLUMIKNIGHT!" The triumphant voice of a duelist cried at the top of his deep growl of a vocal chord. "Fear him! There is no way you can beat him! Unless you own a Number, which I'm sure you do not! So...... Illumiknight attacks your Photon Circler!"
A femenine voice suddenly piped up. It was shar and to the point; "Not quite! You've destroyed my circler, but you forget you could have destroyed my Photon Slasher, which has 2100 ATK and therfore is a bigger threat!"
"Nothing is a threat to me! Plus, you'd take more Battle Damage and lose the duel!"
"I beg to differ! You see, now that my Circler is destroyed, I only take half the damage, meaning instead of takeing 1400, I only take 600!"
The opposing duelist faltered. "Very well then. You live another turn."
"Oh, so much more than that! YOU won't live another turn! Because now, I can Summon my Photon Crusher, and then by halving its level, Special Summon my Photon Destroyer (ATK: 2000). So, I now have 3 Monsters on my field. All three have over 2000 ATK, and by tibuting my Photon Destroyer and Photon Crusher, I can summon the embodiment of light. The ultimate dragon will come to my aid! BEHOLD! GALAXY-EYES PHOTON DRAGON!"
Suddenly, a flash of bluish white light englulfed the two offered monsters only to be replaced by a huge dragon, covered in shining light like a veil.
"Lets see now. When galaxy-eyes attacks, it banishes both our monsters..."
Suddenly, the might dragon became even brighter and the light swallowed Number 10: Illumiknight also.
"... Then that leaves you wide open for a direct attack, since I no longer have any monsters on my field; Slasher can attack directly. Oops, but I think you've lost!"
1900 LP --> 0 LP.

As the holograms faded, a card materialised in the young girls hand.
"Aaah. Another Number for my collection. Good day to you sir."
She strode over to the now kneeling man and lifted his chin to look directly into her eyes. Then she punched him square in the jaw. A blue light emmited from the contact between them and the young man hit the floor with a CRASH. The girl, Alicia, walked off without a second thought.
ATK: 2000 / DEF: 1000
You can Special Summon this card by halving the Level of a Monster you control. When this card is destroyed by battle, destroy the attacking Monster also.

Neo smiled and then put his card back in the box and nodded. "Now that's the spirit James!" he said, putting his hands in his pocket, walking behind James. "So, my suggestion is this...we use our D-Gazars to search for a duel. Then we can go to the nearest duel, and if they have a Number card...we'll explain the situation and have them join us." They are getting closer...be on your guard Hikari.

He couldn't shake the fact that the Emperors could be around them. They could be my friends...we have to make sure.

After barely a minute of riding Kyra caught sight of a figure up ahead walking away, only stopping and turning around when he spotted Kyra approaching. She came to a halt alongside the boy, lifting up her helmet's visor and staring at the figure, identifying him as a boy at least 2 years older than her, a duel disk strapped to his arm.

"You where duelling just now, weren't you?" She asked.

She hopped off her D-Wheel, taking her helmet off and putting her bike into 'lock mode' before turning to face the boy again.

"I need to know what that monster you used was," she continued without waiting for an answer "I'm looking for a set of cards called 'Numbers'."

You're not getting my number if that is what you're thinking. Therefore!" He explained, "You are a Number Holder too, am I correct?"
So, another Number Holder. She better not be trying to get my Number, nor do I want hers, though I am curious to know which she possesses. There's only a 1 in 99 chance of guessing right so.....

Neo pulled out his D-Gazer and hooked it up to his ear, looking through the clear screen. "Now, activating D-Gazer now." he said, pressing the button, quickly seeing stats and other things on the screen. Hmm, no Number Monsters on the gazer... Neo thought, quickly pressing a few buttons on the D-Gazer's ear piece. He looked around and then spotted something. It showed the stats of a current duel, one of the monsters: "Number 10: IlluminKnight". "N-Number 10! But the stats say that the owner of the card lost the duel. And it was against...Photon monsters..." Neo said pointing towards a building, showing where the duel took place.

"Number 10! And the person lost?! How, was another Number Summoned? And what the hell is a Photon Monster?!" James hadn't expected to find a Number so soon, let alone find out its user had lost. "One sec Neo, gotta get something." He abruptly ran back into his friends house and ran back out, holding his Duel Board.
Quickly, he strapped on a helmet and jumped on his board. "C'mon then Neo! You just gonna stand there pointing at the building, or are we gonna go already?!"
Without waiting for an answer, James started the small engine on his Duel Board and began up the street, only stopping to look back and see if Neo was following.
********
Alicia fished into her pocket and found her mobile phone. She quickly dialed a number to a fellow Number Hunter, one often called a witch, the Enigma Witch.
"Hello. Yes, I got Number 10 and disposed of the user. Shall I go back...." She thought for a second, "actually, do you want to come here? We won't have any Sector Security bother us here..... ok, speak in a few. Bye."

Neo hopped on his Duel Runner he kept near the house and quickly drove off right behind James. I've read about those Photon monsters before. They're a very interesting archetype, with the main card being a dragon that would rival the legendary card of legend: Blue-Eyes White Dragon. he thought, pushing on the accelerator more. But another Number wasn't summoned...and yet this whole thing has me a little nervous. It may be one of the Emperors...but with an Photon deck? Things just aren't adding up!! He gritted his teeth, unsure of what him and James would happen to find when they arrived at the duel sight.

Kyra stared intently at the card as it was whipped out, confirming her suspicions of it being a number card. She looked back up at the boy, admitedly impressed with his conclusion but didn't show it, instead opting to fold her arms and lean back against her D-Wheel, keeping her gaze on the boy.

"Well you'd be correct in that assumption," she said sternly "And no, I have no interest in taking your Number from you. I do, however, want to know where you got it and anything else you know about these cards. "I don't think so..... not Machine Emperors anyway. I'd assume there'd be more...." James waved his arms about, trying to get a message across "...bigger, and probably there'd be a rather large explosion like what happened at Numero Industries......" his voice trailed off, while his eyes began to fill with tears. Quickly he wiped them out, just in time to avoid a cleaner drone. "Though Photon Monsters sound interesting. How could they beat a Number so easily though?! It's not possible.... is it?"
A few minutes later, they reached the door of the warehouse building, in which the duel apparently took place. It was two stories high and had a rather large area. It might take a while to search it, that was for sure.
"You ready Neo?" James whispered, opening the iron door at the side of the building.
********
Alicia heard the sound of a door being opened. Quickly and silently, she hid behind a large box, and blending into the shadows.
"What have we got here?" She wondered.

"As for getting the card, it sent itself to me. I received it in the post, alongside a laptop I bought, the day after the Xyz meteor shower. I've had it since day one, so I have had it for a fair amount of time. Plus the fact I have a Number doesnt really spread. Getting beaten by a 'geek' isn't something people usually brag about. Don't you think?" The boy smiled at the thought. "I've got the necessary equipment at home if you want me to do a check for you. These hunters of sorts will have SOME trace, even if they cover themselves up. I've got nothing better to do anyway and Im curious about this 'Project Justice' thing."

OoC Notes to ED and Chaos: One of you was supposed to answer the door <_< Also, the both of your characters are supposed to know and be friends w/ Maverick: jussayin.

Figuring that Neo and James must've just left, Maverick turned around and started to run a block around the city until he just witnessed James open an iron door to a warehouse. Suspecting that Neo was there as well, Maverick performed a quick U-turn into a nearby parking space. Not having the time to pay for a parking, Maverick ran up to the two of them.

"You could've told me you were out Number Fishing!" he exclaimed at the two of them, "I could've tagged along!"

Maverick took some time to calm his voice down, noting that James would've opted for a more stealthy approach.

"I don't happen to be too late, do I?" he asked more quietly

Neo nodded and walked into the building. He looked around, being very cautious about this place. "James, Maverick...just tellin' ya, be on guard. I don't think we're alone in here." he whispered, before hearing a slight groan. "This way!" He ran into another room and there he saw a young man on the floor. "James, Maverick over here! I think I found the duelist that was in here!!" Neo yelled, to James. He looked back at the man and glanced at his duel disk, which was on the floor, his cards scattered on the floor. No doubt about it...this duelist's deck. It was to accompany Number 10...but what happened to the card...and more importantly...where's the other duelist with the Photon Deck? he thought to himself, pondering these things.

"Hey, I recognize this guy," Maverick informed the others, "He was in the quarter-finals of that tournament I was telling you I almost got gold out of yesterday. How the hell did someone like him lose so badly, I wonder?"

Maverick walked over to the duelist, hoping that he'd manage to get some information out of him for the others.

"What happened?" he asked the duelist.

"That... that b**** cheated is what happened!" the unfortunate duelist spat, "I... I demanded a rematch, but... she didn't bite. She just mocked me and stole my card... I guess you could've... figured it out yourself, huh?"

"Yeah, considering we already did," Maverick chuckled slightly, before turning back serious again, "Look, you better rest. We'll go on ahead and see if we can find and stall this woman until Sector Security or something gets here."

Leaving the duelist to recover, he then turn to Neo and James, to deliver the grim news.

"Sounds like the duel went sour from the start," he informed, "You guys think I should handle this Photon chick?"

Neo looked at Maverick and shrugged. "Honestly...I don't know who should take it. But of all the cards in the deck...and I'm warning you two in case one of us duels this person. We need to watch out for a monster that rivals the legendary Blue-Eye White Dragon." he said, before taking out a small book from his pocket. Inside it held all different descriptions of Dragon-Type monster cards, and he quickly pointed at one on the last page. "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. This...I'm betting, is what ended the duel with that Number Holder over there. Though...I was told that Galaxy-Eyes was a myth, not real." Neo put the book away and put his hands in his pockets, quickly thinking about this. So, seems this myth really is for real. We need to really be careful.

Alicia fished into her pocket and found her mobile phone. She quickly dialed a number to a fellow Number Hunter, one often called a witch, the Enigma Witch.
In the docks of Neo Domino resided an ancient tanker ship simply called the Aeaea. This rusting relic of a bygone era was the headquarters of a small group of Number Hunters that was slowly growing in size, and the ship had just arrived in port not an hour before. Deep within the Aeaea lay a throne surrounded by purple veils, on which sat a beautiful woman with raven-colored hair and flawless pale skin. Kneeling in front of her was a girl with pink hair done up quite wildly, and wearing an outfit that not only included pink, but also yellow and blue. She also wore a military-grade gas mask. The woman on the throne picked up the phone that was on a golden platter nearby, held up by a butler wearing a rather elaborate pig mask, or what might be a pig mask...
"Hello. Yes, I got Number 10 and disposed of the user. Shall I go back...." Alicia thought for a second, "actually, do you want to come here? We won't have any Sector Security bother us here....."
The woman on the throne smiled. "Certainly. We just arrived." Her voice was melodic and musical, with this strange alluring tone that entranced any man that heard it.
"Ok, speak in a few. Bye."
The woman got up off of the throne, placing the phone back on the golden platter.
"Our new servant is doing quite well, my young disciple." The Enigma Witch addressed the girl in front of her.
"But has she located our quarry?" The pink-haired girl replied under her gas mask.
"Now that we are here, it is only a matter of time. Soon, we will have him, and then, no one will be able to stop us!"

Kyra doubted these Number Hunters would be as easy to track down as that, but she wasn't about to turn down any opportunity to find them by any means.

"You do that," she said simply, getting back on her bike and starting the engine "I'd rather keep moving myself."

She slipped her helmet back on, the visor sliding down neatly over her eyes as she gave the boy one last look.

"Feel free to contact me if you find anything though, my name is Kyra Striker, you can probably find my contact information on the Sector Security database,"

Without even waiting for a reply Kyra fired up her bike and sped off, quickly leaving the boy behind without even waiting for his name. Her only intention now was to see if she could track down any other Number cards, particularly anyone who had more than one.

And if they are hunting all the Numbers then they'll be sure to come after me eventually, Kyra thought to herself Which just makes things easier on my part.

"Shaman and falcon, synchro summon! Mist valley thunder lord!" Mako shouted. In a brilliant flash, a huge, winged ogre appeared on the field. "Now I'll activate his effect!" In a small whirlwind, Mako's Reborn Tengu was returned to his hand. Thunder lord crackled with electricity, its attack going up by 500. Then, with a burst of green mist, another Reborn Tengu appeared on the field. "Tengu, attack!" The little boy - his opponent - wailed as his Genex Controller was blown to smithereens. "Now thunder lord, finish this!" Mako yelled. The muscular beast clapped its hands, sending a bolt of lightning at the boy, and depleting his life points to zero.
"Waaaaaah! I wanna rematch!" The 7 year old cried as the duel ended.
"Hey, I won fair and square! And I didn't even use my number card!" Mako retorted. The boy sniffed.
"I guess... you're a really good duelist!"
"Nah... I'm just average. Hey, maybe if you come back here tomorrow, I can give you some tips!"
"Really? Awesome!" The boy ran away.
Mako smiled. He remembered when he was that young. He took Number 59: Thunder Hawk out of his deck. "I'm not that young anymore though..." He thought to himself. Putting the card back and looking up again, he smiled again. Then went off to find someone else to duel in the crowded square.

OOC: Sorry I started late! Any others can come to the square and RP, or duel, or whatever :)
