TOM 3.5
With points being disabled and new members having no points I think a program should help new members who have just registered.
·Toot
I'd support this if someone would actually care about how points are distributed... they're easily given with each post... but eh... actually I support it if someone complies (A mod or YCMaker that is)

·Toot
Really? Where the hell have I been? But I think there was something about this before... I think this and a few other things were gonna be fixed over time by YCMaker... or I could be wrong... either way ... I guess I support this
Points are pointless. :/
lol somewhat, but they are wanted in shops and request

The Dark Knight
Well new members need points for the Ycm economy to run smoothly
Bahaha! No. New users can manage fine without having immediate access to points. Besides, if any new members want some, all they have to do is ask. I'll bet they'd recieve at least several donations right of the bat. EDIT: Off-topic, for the sake of my general sanity, humor me; change the topic title so it says "Beginner" not "Begginer." Please and thank you.
TOM 3.5
and points could become useful for prizes later if YCM mker decides to do soIbashi it is so that they have a confused member that doesn't know how to ask can openly ask without fear of critism or breaking rulesand ibashi its a suggestion so you fail because it isn't off topic
The Dark Knight
Ibashi it is so that they have a confused member that doesn't know how to ask can openly ask without fear of critism or breaking rules
There doesn't need to be a full-blown organization set up just to make new members feel comfortable. There's already an introductions forum. If a person has any questions beyond that there's the status feeds. I have very rarely seen anyone break the rules trying to ask a question about something, and even when I have seen it, they've always put something they weren't sure of, like "I'm not sure this is the right section." If someone really wants to know something, they'll ask.
TOM 3.5
Yay but it doesn't have to be full blown just a small group of members lik 6 or 7 have a program and like I said new members are scared and confused I was too when I started
The Dark Knight
and ibashi its a suggestion so thank you very much for it
You're very welcome.
Yay but it doesn't have to be full blown just a small group of members lik 6 or 7 have a program and like I said new members are scared and confused I was too when I started
I still think that the introductions forum is good enough for helping new members and making them feel comfortable, but if you want to just do a free-form group that actively checks on the introductions forum and answers any questions new members might have, I could support that. I wouldn't be a member of said group or anything, I'm just saying there wouldn't be anything wrong with it.

Cin
You say if a mod complies, but a mod can just change points of the member themselves without anyone having to donate.
Simping For Hina
LZ is so right. Points are pointless. No one really cares about them and you really shouldn't. People do requests for free most of the time for the practice.
Ieyasu Tokugawa
LZ is so right. Points are pointless. No one really cares about them and you really shouldn't. People do requests for free most of the time for the practice.
The problem is when people want to get stuff that isn't free. Contests are reduced to giving likes as a reward, and do those matter more than points? No, but points being a sort of "economy" gives contests an actual reward for those of us who can't do graphic design. As well as I've seen a new member whining because they wanted something from a shop that they couldn't find for free. The problem with the suggestion is finding people who would do it. If we can get a good amount of people willing, it will probably work well. If not, it'll bomb.
