New Look Bahamut - Sneak Peak Card - Xyz Bank

Those of you who know me will know I moved into my own flat last July, and have since only had Interweb access at work or going round to parents house occasionally. Well hopefully my home broadband will (finally) be sorted out this week, so I can come back to full-time membership of this site. And my profile will be getting a facelift at that time. As a sneak peak, here's the first card of my 'return'...

Continuous
Lore: When this card is activated successfully; place 3 'Xyz' Counters on it. When you activate the effect of an Xyz monster by detatching 1 or more Xyz Material monsters; you can remove an equal number of Xyz Counters from this card instead. When this card has no counters on it, or when it is removed from the field; it is Banished. When this card is Banished; destroy all Xyz monsters you control.

Feedback appreciated.

Looks ok.

It encourages you to alter between both this card and the actual XYZ Material Monsters, but the destruction effect makes it not very viable. People only use XYZ's in addition to Synchro abuse, so this solid support won't probably be run; that's not to say that it's bad, but it's just really specifc.


Plus, Ciaus and Trishula will say "good-bye XYZ". :(

Anyway, OCG fix: When this card is activated successfully; place 3 Xyz Counters on it. When you would detach Xyz material from an Xyz monster as a cost to activate its effect: you can remove an equal number of Xyz Counters from this card instead. When this card has no counters on it, or when it is removed from the field; it is Banished. When this card is Banished: destroy all Xyz monsters you control.

Good card, I feel Xyz need more cards to extend their effects (like freezerdon) so I love this. And the downside to it balances it nicely. Though I'm not exactly sure if the wording makes it so that if a monster has no Xyz material, it still cannot activate its effect.

Yeah unfortunately everyone will use the same synchros and splashable xyz's forever as opposed to considered selection, but maybe when xyz get further strengthened they'll get more play.

He's still waiting for someone to do his artwork. Like he's STILL waiting for his broadband router.

Yeah, xyz monster would still need an overlay unit to use this as a sub, and can't use it if they're out of units.
