Select 1 face-up monster you control and 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Ignoring all other effects, the selected monsters can only be destroyed by each other and in battle. When a selected monster is removed from the field, destroy this card.


For the record, to simplify, the two monters cannot be destroyed by anything other than the other monster, and only by battle. This also ignores effects that say "This card cannot be destroyed by battle"

But spirit reaper would just destroy itself anyway. What happens in that situation? It would turn a monster invincible. Shouldn't you say that this words only "As long as both monsters are on the field" ?

OT: Good card, situational as hell. But it would be pretty useful for getting SSD or one of those other annoying monsters off of the field.

Yeah, it does seem pretty situational, but it could still be interesting even when it's not useful.
